Clearly, having little grasp on what 28" actually looks like IN REAL vs. Umm Instagram, we ordered Half Caroline and Half Roni. It JUST made it into the trunk of our SUV. Imagine it didn't? This was really poorly thought out on our end. So here it is; it's a show stopper, reminiscent of Benny's. I enjoyed my pepperoni slice, and the Sweet Caroline was decent, but maybe not quite the "wow" I wanted it to be. But all in all, the pizza was good, and our kids were very happy and very blown away by a pie larger than themselves. I have been waiting, sitting on this heater for 10 minutes, I was the last to go. My greasy pepperoni ached, my mushrooms pleaded, and my cheese cried every night. Omg!!! The food was great!! The best pizza in Charlotte and maybe down south. You could tell that owner was from NY. Not only did the pizza had great taste you could tell it was made with care and pride. The service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and attentive and engaging. Same story for most businesses in south end. I ordered three different slices to get a full range of flavors. Slices came out quick and I was really impressed by the flavors. I thought the cheese slice was great. The crust was soft which is not my favorite. But the cheese and sauce were really good. The veggie slice and sausage slice both lacked in toppings for my taste, but again the taste in general were great. Would I recommend? Yes! Will I return? Like longtime Charlotte resident Benny Pennelo's and the newer spot Zambies, their slices require multiple plates just to hold one, and you likely will only need 1 to be full. As for the pizza itself, I felt it had a tasty sauce and plenty of cheese, but wish the crust and the bottom were a little firmer with less flop. One thing I will note however is that their ranch dipping sauce is amazing. Get a cup and dip some of your slice in, it is amazingly tasty. Overall this is a great spot to grab a late night meal to soak up all the beverages you've likely consumed up to that point. Visited this trendy pizza joint tonight for their big grand opening! The whole place is a vibe and I love that they stay open late! Yay late night food spot for Charlotte where that is kinda limited. We had to wait 30 mins for our pizza because I think they lost our order but the taste of my pizza gave them a pass for that! Omg! It was good! You can order by the slice or a whole pie. It wasn't greasy like some other pizza joints which I appreciate so much in my 30'! Update: I just saw that the owner finally replied to my review after a few months. I think it's genuinely very embarrassing on your business's behalf to lie and negate my experience when you were not there. I quite literally was given a business card to contact you so that should be enough proof that the interaction I mentioned did occur. I guess you could also ask literally everyone in the store who was there when this issue occurred, especially the man did messed our entire order up and just laughed about it at the end. You could have simply just apologized or asked for further info/ contact as many other businesses do in these situations instead of making a childish reply. You are grown adults not children, learn how to manage your presence properly. I've seen high schoolers handle customer service situations like these better than whatever you just attempted to do here, and I have seen my local NYC dollar pizza shops be more welcoming, have better food and incredible customer service compared to this mess. I love supporting local businesses and I consider myself a patient person. However I don't think any person on this earth would be too thrilled and patient enough to wait an hour and thirty minutes for one cheese pizza especially if they see people with more intricate orders being served before. It's a mistake on you and your employees part and could have resolved with a simple apology but the response then and now makes it clear to me what kind of business this is. Due to your childish response I will be making another review.
