Stopped in on a whim a couple of weeks ago - was impressed with the use of space at this cozy spot! It was clear that they could accommodate large parties if needed. We ordered the Di Parma and Napule personal pizzas. They came out fast and were delicious. We forgot to mention that my bf is vegetarian and to omit the prosciutto and they brought out a replacement pizza so quickly. Definitely enjoyed our time at Pizza Omaggio!

Roman style personal sized pizzas with fresh ingredients, a little char for the undercarriage , and fresh ingredients- sign me up! On the Charlottetown side of the Metropolitan you'll find a rustic interior with pics if food prep in Italian restaurants. In addition to beer and wine food otions range from salads, pasta, and sandwiches to pizza. Today we enjoyed the Classico (cheese) and the Emilia white pizza. I really enjoyed the combination of honey and oil with the ricotta cheese on the Emilia. If you're seeking artisan pizza with a nice beverage or salad in a quiet setting check out Pizzeria Omaggio. Service was friendly and attentive and my glass never went empty.

Everything. From beginning to end was a pleasant experience. Outstanding pizza, fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere!

Diavola Pizza (4/5): Just a pepperoni pizza with classic pizza flavor. The dough had a nice chew to it. Pera Gorgonzola DOP Pizza (2/5): Strong gorgonzola flavor, and the pear texture wasn't for me. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

As much as I love this place, I keep forgetting to return here. I finally chose this place for our date night...and this time, we sat outside on their patio. For starters, we shared their Eggplant Parmigiana...and for our main dish, we both chose pizza, so we shared "Trio" and "Prosciutto Funghi"...and ended with their Vanilla Gelato. Well, all I can say is OMG...Everything was so Delicioso!! I absolutely love their crispy, thin pie crusts. Can't really think of any other pizzeria in town that can make crispier, thinner pies than here?? I had their "Trio" before and LOVED it, and today, it was every bit as good as I remembered it. The "Prosciutto Funghi" was amazing too! I was really impressed with their gorgeously presented, appetizer-sized Eggplant Parmigiana...and even their super-smooth Vanilla Gelato was so much better than expected! Service was stellar as well. Our waiter was very friendly, courteous and attentive. My husband was just as impressed with this place as I was. Think this is my favorite pizzeria in all of Charlotte! PS*** Why are my pictures (6 total) not attaching to this review?!?

Really enjoyed myself eating here the pizza was perfect. Staff kind and attentive. Local to shopping and plenty of parking!

This place is in an urban setting embedded in a large new complex that is hard to park at but is walkable from the greenway. Notably, the outdoor seating gets good shade at lunchtime. Ordering a salad yielded me a substantial plate with slice pear, candied walnuts, and goat cheese; the dressing was hardly necessary. My margherita was of the extra thin crusted variety. There are no bubbles and not a ton of flavor in a crust like this. Given that the salad was so big, I was at least able to finish the pizza because of its thin crust. Not the best pizza in Charlotte, but a nice place to get together.

While visiting Charlotte for a few days with my family, we decided to stop here for dinner because it was close to where we were staying. Delicious pizza and great salad. The ambiance is casual but nice. Excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We came to Omaggio for date night and it was delicious! Everything was fairly priced and they had a small outdoor area we enjoyed our food in. We shared the Trio Pizza, Spaghetti 'Nduja e Salasiccia and bruschetta which was a perfect serving for two. The servers were very kind and attentive. We would happily be back!

Casual place for pizza, or other Italian options. What we had was OK, though nothing special. Service was good.

It was super busy, so I believe that a reservation is needed for the weekend, especially for larger groups. The vibe is a bit darker and moodier but with natural lighting- perfect for a date night but not limited to that. The espresso martinis, cocktails, beer, and mocktails were all delicious. They have amazing espresso martinis and aperol spritzes. The only dishes that I tried included the white truffle garlic bread, Sunday night lasagna, and the hot honey prosciutto pizza. Everything was delicious. A special shoutout to the Sunday night lasagna - WOW it was perfect. I'm usually not a huge lasagna person, but this changed that. I would 100% recommend this. Since we were celebrating my birthday with our parents, they were kind enough to give me a free dessert. I chose the salted caramel budino, and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this as a dessert. Overall, we had a great experience! I would definitely come back.

I was told they had snapper with the same fixings, so I went with that, but then was told they didn't have the snapper either. I asked if they could do salmon with the same preparation and, if not, I'd just order salmon on one of their salads. The server didn't mention that they couldn't do the salmon dish and came back with the salmon salad. It was fine, but I would have appreciated a heads-up that the original request wasn't possible. The salad itself had way too much dressing, which made it difficult to eat. A couple of my friends ordered a pasta dish that had so much horseradish that they couldn't really eat it. Overall, the food was fine and the service was fine, but there were enough misses that I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend North Italia. The vibe was nice, so there's that.

I've tried several of the sauces and my favorite hands down is the vodka sauce. I like to add spinach and mushrooms to it. I have a few critiques though. I think the pasta water is under-salted most of the time. The noodles could use more salt content in my opinion. The salad proteins are always overcooked - edges are often hard. Finally, the service isn't great. Trying to get a water or tea refill is all but impossible. I will keep going bc the food is mostly good and I enjoy the ambience.

Forgot to take photos of the bread because I was too busy enjoying it. Oops! We ordered meatballs as an app, and I had the lasagna for my entree. Both were pretty good, though I wish the lasagna had a bit more of a "noodle-y" bite to it, if that makes sense. I felt like I was just eating a bowl of cheese and sauce. The ratio of noodles to cheese and sauce didn't feel balanced, and felt more like lasagna soup, but overall, it was decent. I think I'd try something different next time. My husband had the mussels and said they were okay- basically mussels and tomato sauce. As for the ambiance, it's casual Italian dining experience, and includes a market at the front of the store for take home breads and pastas.

We sat outside, so I'd recommend checking what's happening around the restaurant on the day you go if you're hoping to sit outdoors. There was an outdoor workout class happening less than 20 feet away that was very loud and made it difficult to hear each other. Once the class finished, though, the patio was great! The ambiance inside also looked really cozy and inviting. For food, we started with the focaccia, which I definitely recommend. I ordered the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli, and it was so good. It was my friend's birthday, so we also ordered several desserts and honestly, I'd recommend all of them! At one point, an Italian friend of mine told me that some of her friends had eaten here and really didn't like it. I actually argued with her about it because my experiences had always been so good. Unfortunately, after my last couple of visits, I understand what she meant. A lot of the pasta dishes I used to love are no longer on the menu. They used to have an amazing lobster tortellini dish, and there was another pasta I ordered several times that was excellent, although I can't remember the name anymore. The newer pasta dishes I've tried just haven't been nearly as good. The last two times we came here, we were disappointed. On my most recent visit, I ordered the truffle pasta, and it was honestly terrible. I sometimes make truffle pasta myself, so I'm familiar with that flavor. What I was served here was definitely not what I expected from a restaurant I used to think so highly of. After two disappointing visits in a row, we probably won't be coming back. I'm giving it three stars mainly because of how good this place used to be. The pizza is still okay, but just okay. There are plenty of other places where you can get better pizza. It's a shame, because this restaurant used to be much better.

The Uptown location has always been solid for me, so I knew I was in good hands. I had people coming over, so I went all in: * Calamari * Caesar salad * Bolognese * A full pizza * And yes... tiramisu to finish Everything delivered exactly what I wanted--reliable, comforting, well-executed Italian food. Nothing overly fussy, just done right. The pizza crust deserves a shoutout--crispy, flavorful, and holds up well. My only wish? This location offered pizza by the slice like Uptown, but you'll need to commit to the full pie here (which, honestly, isn't a bad thing). The tiramisu was also a win--light, balanced, and a perfect way to round things out. Other perks: * Easy parking (huge lot--no stress) * Friendly staff * Consistent pricing and value Bottom line: Portofino's is one of those dependable, no-drama spots you can count on. If you see one, it's a safe bet. Charlotte--stay hungry and keep eating your way through it.
