We did takeout from Pizza Baby in Charlotte, and the place was poppin' when we stopped in. You can tell it's popular for a reason. The pizza was really good. Even though we grabbed our order to go, the inside of the restaurant had a really nice vibe. It's a fun and lively spot to enjoy great company. Definitely a place I'd come back to, whether for takeout or to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.

Really enjoyed this spot! We popped in on a weeknight and it was easy to walk in. Also easy parking in the lot! The patio has a beautiful view of the city, and if it's a pleasant day, that's hands down the place to sit. There's also a bar area and a good amount of tables, some with booth seating, inside. They have a full bar which is great, and the kitchen is open so that you can see your pie being made. I wasn't familiar with the Roman pizza, but tried and it was delicious! One slice was more than enough for me. Our server was pretty quiet, though friendly and checked in on us. I'd definitely recommend this place!!

Easy, kid friendly pizza spot with good parking options! (As someone who is not native to Charlotte this is very important to me haha) Tried out the cheese pizza and a side Caesar salad. Both were very good and affordable. I also added a side of hot honey to dip my pizza in and it was perfect, not too hot! Service at 6 pm on a Saturday was quick and accommodating for our toddler. Brought us a high chair and kids water without even asking! Would definitely come back

Starsky Pizza (4/5): Loved the chewiness of the dough. Some char flavor would've really taken it to the next level. The soppressata was good but maybe a bit too tangy. It made the flavor profile of the pizza a little one-dimensional. I think some hot honey on the side would've helped a lot. I also wish there were more Calabrian peppers. Garlic Cheese Bread (4/5): Very good bread with plenty of cheese and the option to get as much sauce as you wanted. I liked that there were whole cloves of roasted garlic. Arugula Salad (3/5): VERY tart from the citrus but still a refreshing salad. It was lightly dressed and tasted very fresh. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Joyce Farm Wings, split between honey sriracha and garlic parm.

After a long flight back to Charlotte, my husband and I made a stop at Pizza Baby West. It was a much needed reward after braving the chaos of airport travel. We're already fans of Pizza Baby East, so we were excited to try this westside sibling, and it definitely delivered. We sat inside with the vibe being trendy yet relaxed, with a surprising view of uptown from the bar area that added a little city skyline magic to our date night. Our server greeted us with a smile, served our drinks quickly, and made us feel right at home. I sipped on a house red wine that hit the spot, while my husband went for a New York Sour - a bold choice and he gave it top marks. The menu also had way more variety than its Pizza Baby East location, which sparked a little indecisiveness (anyone else struggle when the options all sound amazing?). We decided to kick things off with the Joyce Farm Wings, split between honey sriracha and garlic parm. They leaned more grilled than fried - super flavorful, but maybe not for the crispy wing purists out there. For our main dish, we shared the Starsky 14" pizza, topped with tomato sauce, pepperoni, sausage, soppressata, oregano, and a bold Calabrian chili. Every bite was a flavor bomb, and the real MVP was that whole chili in the center. Biting off the end and drizzling the peppery oil over the slices felt like a chef's kiss to the whole experience. Plus, it looked so good on the table, I had to snap a quick photo - you know, for Yelp and the gram. We felt as though the prices matched the elevated pizza experience, as we know that Pizza Baby orders its ingredients from Italy. The whole experience felt like a worthwhile splurge. I've already told my best friend I'm taking her here when she visits from California. All in all Pizza Baby West is worth the visit, we'll definitely be back.

Newly opened pizza spot in my neighborhood so I figured I'd give it a try. Being a New Yorker I am very particular about my pizza but they had so many other options on the menu we decided to try. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday, they had nice music playing and all the staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Buratta as an appetizer and it was amazing. The pesto wasn't overpowering and it was just the right quantity for an appetizer. My husband ordered the luau pizza minus the jalapeños and I ordered the meatball sandwich that came with a Caesar salad. That Caesar salad was the star for both of us! We shared my portion and even ordered a small one to go! He totally enjoyed his slice of pizza and even had half to take home. My meatball sub was excellent-the marinara wasn't salty and the bread it was on was amazing. Just the right amount of fresh mozzarella. Great new local spot. Will totally come back and try other items on their menu.

I really enjoyed this pizza place! Our server was pleasant and the restaurant was so cute! We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. Enjoyed some wine and two pizza, they were cooked great.

First time trying Pizza Baby. I got the Starsky pizza. Did not like it!! The soppressata tasted funny and the pizza was too salty.

Let's talk about Pizza Baby.... No, that's actually the name of this trendy pizza spot. Located in an up an coming area of Charlotte off Freedom Dr. Lot's of parking in the area and seating inside and outside. The inside dining area is wide open and a bit loud, but it's a perfect spot for after work social or a night with friends. My wife had a Mule to start and she was impressed. We had the BACON WRAPPED DATES, GARLIC KNOTS, CEASAR SALAD AND THE LARGE 90'S SUPREME PIZZA. The food was excellent. This is a must try Pizza spot.

Decided to give Pizza Baby a try and it was good, just not great. The physical space was really cool, service was solid, food was okay, but nothing was super special. Solid choice for pizza.

I'm sorry, I never leave reviews but Pizza Baby West was one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. I've heard all this hype around town about how great their food is but my carry out experience was subpar- to say the least. Granted, I didn't get their pizza but ordered a salad and bread to go...while the bread was fresh, not nearly enough dipping sauce was supplied. And the salad? Get out of here...nobody wants to eat a head of lettuce. $30 spent and regretting every penny but, the wait staff was very kind and attentive when I went to pick up. I now realize why the dining room was empty at 6pm on a Thursday...

Very clearly the best late night pizza option in Charlotte. May just be the absolute best pizza…read moreoption period. We stopped in here for a weeknight late bite when our options were somewhat limited. Thankfully at that hour, street parking in NoDa wasn't too bad, we got a spot just off the main drag. Slices here are GIGANTIC, one is easily about 3 standard slices of pizza, or two normal NY size slices. We got a pepperoni and a cheese. The pepperoni had nice kick to them and the cheese was a high quality. You had to let the pepperoni grease drain onto your plate a bit, but that is expected. The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. Terrible. Almost knocked a star off for it, that bad. Regardless of the world's worst stools, I would come back for more pizza and just plan on not eating it there.

Loved the layout with seating inside and the open window out front, very inviting! Will add, best eaten fresh as when taken back to our hotel, it did lose its crispiness! A couple of bites is all ya need to prepare for their delicious pizzas. My go to is light on the Pepperoni Well Done (important) and a side of hot honey sauce and a side of plain honey. Because the hot stuff ain't no joke- I have to turn down the spice by mixing the two. Then it's like the best Sweet and Salty you can dream of then the heat kicks you in the face in the best way. To top it off don't even think about leaving before you have one of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies! They are ridiculous and a must. If no room in your belly make sure to get one to go and you can heat it up to perfection when you get home.

The reason we came in to order to-go was because we weren't happy with the Door-Dash delivery of same last time. The pizza just didn't travel well. This time with our to-go order it traveled a bit better and was fresher. We think it would be even better (4 stars) if we dined in. We also had a nice salad of mixed greens with dried cherries and the like, but it didn't come tossed. The dried cherries were in one corner, the onions in another ... you get the idea. Tossing would have made it easier to eat on-the-go. But the service people were very nice, and the store was clean and roomy with a semi-open kitchen. We'd give this place another try next time when dining in.

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.

The pizza was completely inedible. A quart of tomato sauce sat on top of turned-soggy bread,…read moresurrounded by burnt crust. And it wasn't even that hot. It had been sitting there under the lights for too long. Because the place was busy, and we do have empathy for how hard servers work, we did not send it back or say anything. Just ate as much as we could The meatball appetizer was small and not overly flavorful--a lot for $14, just to add that in. Also, many of the appetizers are cheese-type dishes, which feels like a bit much if you're already there for pizza. Why PB puts SO much sauce on their pies, I don't know. They could save a few dollars by cutting the amount in half. Maybe their other pies are not as soggy, and the fact that margherita pies have a more watery cheese is a factor. Still, we nearly had to eat it like soup. The service was fine--could've been a little more attentive. But there are a dozen other pizzerias in Charlotte that are much better.
