Small neighborhood spot at the end of a strip center. My co-workers come here for lunch occasionally and they finally convinced me to join. Definitely worth the visit. Hands down some of the best pizza in Charlotte. I had a pepperoni/mushroom slice and a chicken parm slice, both were excellent! Looking forward to my next visit to try a calzone or sandwich. read more

Great pizza overall. The Meat Lovers was a little too much for me, but the pepperoni pizza was really good. If you live in the University area, this is definitely a solid pizza option. The interior is your classic neighborhood pizza spot -- soda machine, an old TV playing in the background, and people waiting on to-go orders. Nothing fancy, just good pizza. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good slice. read more

The pizza was authentic and delicious. However, the person taking my order was not. This was my first time in here and I felt an attitude from this employee. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but I felt rushed and unwelcome. I almost canceled my order because how rude this guy was. He reminded me of the chef guy in the deli from Seinfeld...Lol... read more

My first time here, a very pleasant experience. Fast courteous people who prepared our food hot & fresh. We will be back again!

What a great spot! Mostly locals, but some good ass food! The pizza really tasted like new york pizza! The lasagna was enough for sharing! The Greek salad with grilled chicken was better than I expected! Chicken breast was warm and grilled flavor. The canolli was the best I have had in a while! The service from upon entering was welcoming and warm. The place is crowded and everyone is enjoying their food! We did takeout as soon many others were doing! Would definitely stop in when im in the Charlotte area! It's one of my cousin's go to for a good hot meal! The seating is comfy casual! read more

Stopped by for a slice. It was really good. Copious amount of meat. Very delicious bite. I should have ordered ranch as the crust was a bit dry. Definitely NY style slices. read more

It never gets old. I have been coming to Due Amici for years. The pizza and Strombol are amazing! They have a full menu so be prepared to come in and order pasta dishes and amazing meals such as chicken parmigiana... Which is my favorite. Garlic knots area great compliment to a pasta dish. You can also get dessert. There are several options. Personally I like the Zeppoli's. Fried fluffy dough with sugar on top remind me of the Italian festivals in New York. Twenty plus years living in the area and enjoying their food for most of it. Today we dropped $40 on two dinners and took 2 courtesy cups of seltzer water. We immediately got called out in public for stealing Sprite and was told that we did it last time as well. WTH is going on with this place? Years ago, the owner wanted our assistance with tax related issues and it was like dealing with family and now, the food consistency has been an issue and service is trending in the same direction. Yes, the food is normally good but, the restaurants associated with the parents and brother all closed or were sold off and now this place is showing the stresses of 2026... I guess all things tarnish over time... read more

Always a good meal at Due Amici! My favorite is the rice ball. Kiddo always loves the cheese slice. The restaurant is not fancy. Order at the counter and then they holler when it's ready. read more

It's the only real pizza in North Carolina they beat out all the other pizza shops like Domino's Papa John's Pizza Hut they can't even touch the pizza that you get from this amazing store that's that real New York Pizza I know cuz I'm from New York and that's the only piece of shop I will eat at little read more

Very rude when placing order was wanting a specialty pizza but was told they were too busy to make it. Very hot and crowded inside. There was no line to indicate that it was to order or pay. Very unprofessional service. Will not return. read more

I placed an order for pickup, and the process went very smoothly. I'd heard good things about this place, especially as a New Yorker. I ordered the classic pie with half cheese and half pepperoni. The size was perfect, and the pizza was good overall. Would I come here again? Probably. I've had better pizza, but this one was very cheesy and a bit oily--not an issue for me, though it could be for others. It felt like they added extra cheese. I'd love to try some of their other menu options, and I would recommend it to family and friends. read more

I wanted a healthier slice so I ordered a slice with grilled chicken, onions and green peppers. As you can see they just dumped it on. No symmetry, order or organization. The green peppers were over cooked and soggy. Onions were chunky. I took everything off and tried to just eat the cheese pizza but I couldn't finish it because it was so soggy. Every disappointed! I'll just stay with a traditional cheese or pepperoni pizza. The cashier was friendly though! read more

Due Amici Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I was really looking forward to this pizza. I dashed over at lunch and it was pretty crowded. Since I knew I probably needed more than a slice, I got a small with sausage mushroom and onions - $25ish for a pie seemed a little steep but I was there for it. The wait was about 15 minutes. My husband ordered extra sauce on the side that cost an additional $1, a wise decision. I took one look at the finished product and it looked pretty good. My first bite was okay. I honestly didn't taste the sauce. The cheese was good but the toppings were pretty thin and had little flavor. Though the onions were cut pretty big, they too had little flavor BUT I loved the crusty dough! NY style at its finest! Would I race back to Due Amici? No, but I would certainly try it again - another dish perhaps? read more

I came here pretty often over the past couple years and though the serving sizes are good for the price, the quality has decreased significantly over the years. Honestly seems like they're using cheaper cheese or something. It turns hard and rubbery fast. Also, some of the employees taking orders have poor attitudes and I often hear them saying negative things about customers and complaining loudly about things like tips. read more

Really good pizza! Got takeout a few backs and just forgot I never wrote a review. Shame on me. This is one of the best, if not the best, NY style pizza I have had since I since moving from Chicago and I am pretty picky. The flavor of the crust and texture was great. I actually went back today and bought a dough ball and made My own deep dish pizza which came out great. The service was great and everyone seems really friendly. The inside is nice, typical pizza shop, several tables and it always seems busy. I actually got the referral for this place from the starter at Traditions golf club when I was over that way hitting some balls. I explained I haven't really found a good pizza place and this was his recommendation. It pays the start conversations with people, you never know you what you'll find read more

Due Amici Pizza - Pepperoni Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

This isn't NY style pizza. If you order a while pie and it's right out of the oven, YOU WILL USE A KNIFE AN FORK. The toppings just slide right off the pizza and are dough/liquid. Not sure if it was undercooked what, I noticed on the other tables that folks were not holding their slices from their whole order pies, they were cutting it up. Shame. I ordered an 18 pie with pepperoni, Sausage and Ricotta cheese, came up to like 34 bucks as each topping was 3.50 and the ricotta was 4.50. the topping were greatly portioned but here is the catch.... If you order a single slice out of the glass, it gets recooked and you have no flop. it's just a slice. Good for what it is. If you order a whole pie and sit down you will be using a knife and fork to eat your pie. I have had NY pizza many times and this was not NY Pizza, this was rushed. I did order a Sicilian piece, it was good! Could have been hotter. I haven't tired their pasta but it was looked good from the folks sitting around us.. The service could have been better, I heard many complaints about the main guy in the store and I can see how they can work on his customer service skills. No thank you or nothing, just grabbed the card and you gotta figure out where the cups are and what to do when your pie comes out. You get no number or anything. Suggestions: - Cook the pies longer. Customer are willing to wait for a better cooked pie. - Show people were the cups/drink's are after they order their food - Thank people for their order. read more

DID YOU KNOW?? This pizza parlor was my favorite place to eat at or takeaway from for many years I have patronized this place because the food is great.I don't judge people because everyone has or has had a bad day here or there, however when you bring a bad mood to the workplace & take-out your frustration on your employees & the customers then we have a problem.I was hoping that it was just a one time occurrence when I visited, however I continue to see the same man /have a unpleasant demeanor towards people & this alone has stopped me & my family & others from visiting your establishment. I'M not the only customer who agrees with this post.We the customers keep you in operation sir, & all we ask is that you treat everyone the way you want to be treated.I don't put bad reviews out on any establishment as this can tarnish your reputation & your business however after so many encounters & no changes you left me/we your customers with no other choice than to write this post. When You know better, you do better. It's time to make a change & once I /we see this change I hope i will then be able to update my post in a new light.(Respectfully Yours). read more

Great pizza, great folks. Only complaint is that every now and again they can undercook the crust. I prefer a little more charred.

When I see that Due Amici has a 4.3 score, it makes me sad. This place is a 5 all day long, even on an off day. Their pizza is so much like getting a slice from NY, when I'm in NY, I want Due Amici pizza. Their calzones are perfection. Their Stromboli is excellent. I think what stands out the most to me is that they don't skimp on anything. Their toppings are very generous. There is no need to order extra cheese like you do at most pizza shops because a regular cheese pizza from here is perfect. If you order a topping or a specialty pizza, it's overflowing with toppings. The owner is always present and can frequently be sorted enjoying a slice himself. He's always so nice to interact with and shows you gratitude every single time you go there for your patronage. They are never short staffed. The atmosphere is exactly what a neighborhood pizza shop should be and reminds me of my childhood. It's just a great spot in every way. read more

Due Amici is honestly top 3 best pizza in Charlotte (in my humble opinion of course). This family owned, New York-esque shop offers a huge range of items but the star of the show has to be the different (pizza) pies. Order at the counter, wait for your large slice or slices to be warmed (if they aren't fresh out the oven) and be prepared to enjoy. Pro Tip: Grab some napkins, because you're almost guaranteed to get a little messy. They offer various toppings and extras for the folks who need a little something more on their pizza. The service/staff is always spot on, they keep the seating area neat & clean and wipe down the tables frequently. Parking normally isn't a problem, but keep in mind there is a movie theater next door so Friday & Saturday evenings can attract a small crowd which can make parking a little more competitive. Overall, Due Amici is a quality spot that brings a little slice of NY to North Charlotte definitely worth a visit. read more

Due Amici Pizza - Slice of Pepperoni & an order of Garlic Knots (orders come in 3) - Pizza Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Not a bad spot. I would say the regular slice is a proud New York slice from the salty cheese taste you get with a firm bottom. The speciality slices are interesting but they are packed with toppings. While I do appreciate the amount of toppings on it, I wasn't a fan of the buffalo chicken slice. It was like a blue cheese buffalo cream sauce and was very strong. I would pass on this. Garlic knots are straight fire. Garlicy, crispy and soft at the same time. Would definitely get these again. Overall I would say they are good at the basic stuff. Wish they had more of a variety of slices like in New York. Maybe a salad slice, vodka slice etc. All the speciality slices in the glass looked the same like you couldn't tell the difference between each of them. I would come back here but not for anything but a regular slice and knots. read more

I tried this place on a whim and WOW - what a great experience. Both slices had great taste - but my favorite thing was the crunch behind each bite. Well done! read more

Just had to update this to 5 Stars because I had their Chicken Parm and pasta earlier this year and it was insane.
