    Padroni and Big Mac pizza
    Johnny G.

Pretty great pizza. The crust is actually tasty, which is a feat because usually, when a slice is the size of a small car hood, the flavor starts to disappear. Somehow, they managed to defy the laws of 'large pizza physics' and kept it delicious. Is it the single best pie in Charlotte? Maybe not, but it's easily a Top 10 contender. I'm also a big fan of the monthly rotation--it's perfect for when I want variety but lack the decision-making skills to choose for myself. The customer service is always solid, and since I keep showing up like a boomerang, they're clearly doing something right.

Excellent pie! Flavors were on point. You gotta have solid sauce, cheese, and dough as the foundation on any pizza and Zambies comes through with a solid trifecta. 1 slice was all I needed. This is seriously large. Thought I could walk around d eating like I do in NYC, but it's a little to big, to hot and too greasy. Stopped on a park bench to eat it. The staff at the counter were awesome, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'll try a different slice on my next visit.

Open door, open window vibe, very NoDa. After five years of living here, I think I finally found the best pizza so far at Zambies Pizza and I'm definitely a pizza snob. I got the Padroni and my wife got the Sleeping Beauty. Flavor on top of flavor. Seriously just flavor the whole way through. Every bite had something going on and it all worked. Warm, balanced, and the kind of flavor that makes you slow down and actually enjoy it. Best part for me was the crust. It's almost like finishing with a breadstick, which added even more flavor for me. My wife didn't love the crust, but I was all about it. If you're looking for real flavor and a legit pizza spot in Charlotte, this is it.

This little pizza shop has been making quite the buzz around town, so of course I had to see what all the commotion was about! Nestled in the heart of NODA right under a cat café, we found ourselves at Zambies. It's a cute little pizza shop with very limited seating. Luckily we were able to snag some seats by the window and enjoy the people watching while eating our pizza! We received compliments from a passerby on our hair! The pizza slices are massive so I decided to share a slice with my 10yr old. We got the pepperoni pizza slice, which ran me about 8 bucks. My son loved it, for me it was way to salty, I couldn't finish my half. If I return I'd probably try something else. Service was nothing special.

This place gets busy. The parking in this area is also dicey. I tried to get in on a busier night and gave up, going elsewhere nearby. I stopped again mid-afternoon and found it easier to get a slice. These are expensive slices, but I wouldn't question the value for the money. These things are huge. The crust is thin and floppy and delivers a hint of carmelization. The topping options included a fun vegetarian special with a lot of peppers and mushrooms. Drink options were okay but they charged me for a bottled water, which irked me. Notably, they also have vegan offerings, though on most days you would have to order a whole pizza, which is giant and costs like $50. They offer vegan slices on some midweek days, perhaps to spice up otherwise slow times. I wasn't able to try them, but I'll bet they're good.

Was having a pizza craving and went on the suggestion of a coworker. So glad I did! Really sizeable portion, even for a big eater like myself. I also like the whole vibe inside, gold chairs and monochrome tropical imagery, very Miami. I wish the chairs were more comfy, but it didn't change my opinion of the pizza. Loved the sleeping beauty! I'm a sucker for balsamic, complimented the white sauce really well. I was also really delighted by the buttery crust. It's walking distance from work, so I will be dropping through for a late night snack again.

Very good slice shop! They sell the very large slices, you only need one! Very limited seating, they are more setup for takeout. Counter service.

Stopped in to grab a slice after the Knights game. Large, thin, slices that were very tasty. $7.00 per slice of cheese. Even at 10 PM it was busy. Limited parking so we dropped off my son and went to a parking lot down and around the corner until they were ready with the food. I enjoyed the pizza. So glad we stopped. Will go again.

Stopped for a quick slice. Tried their plain slice which was SEVEN DOLLARS. Sure, the slice is huge, but still pricey. The pizza was crispy and didn't have too much flop. The cheese and sauce were fine, but nothing to write home about. Similar to PIE.ZAA, I think it'd be better to make smaller slices with better ingredients. Definitely better than PIE.ZAA. I don't know that I could justify 7 dollars for a plain slice, but I'd like to try their other slices. Overall 3.1/5

My friend & I stopped in for a quick slice. You order at the counter & there is a small space with bar seating. Most people that came in took their pizza to go. We ordered one Buffalo & one Pepperoni slice to try. Both slices were good but I was expecting a bit more flavor. I love a good, crisp slice so I had high expectations going in. Slices were around $7.00 each & it takes two paper plates to hold one slice. They have a monthly special that changes as well as a constant menu. Whenever I am in the area, I'll swing by for another slice & the Garlic Knots that I haven't tried yet!

Pizzas have a great undercarriage that is thin, crispy, and chewy. There's also a nice, garlic butter crust. Overall, I like that it isn't too salty or greasy but still has great flavor. One of the best pizza places I've been to. The staff is also always friendly and the pizza comes out quick. The whole pie is enormous (the box needed to be bent to fit in the car). The crust loses its crispiness in the box though. BBQ Chicken Pizza (5/5): One of the rotating specials. Sweet and spicy with great balance. Pepperoni Pizza (5/5): Just a great slice of pizza. The Chupacabra (5/5): Beef birria pizza that really tastes like a quesabirria. Buffalo Chicken Pizza (4/5): A pretty good buffalo chicken pizza that isn't too saucy or too vinegar-y. The Feffer (4/5): A Reuben inspired slice with corned beef, sauerkraut, and pickles. More thousand Island dressing (maybe drizzled on top would've made this so much better). Also too many pickles. The Great Misteak (4/5): One of the rotating specials. This is a philly cheese steak inspired pizza that was a little lacking in flavor (needed some sauce) and a little light on meat. Still good though! The Za Royale (4/5): Big Mac inspired slice. I liked how the sauce was drizzled on top but I wish it was sweeter like Mac sauce. The sauce and pickles were also a little overpowering so I couldn't really taste the meat or cheese. Still good though. Garlic Knots (4/5): VERY garlicky which was great. Also very dense and doughy. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Definitely getting this again) 4 - Good (Would get it again) 3 - Ok (Might give it another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

They take a long time compared to pie.za. Employee butcrack was somewhat exposed near the food, not super prominent but noticeable enough for us to see.

This pizza spot always smell really good when I walk pass it. Finally I tried it. I really enjoyed the buffalo pizza here! The Philly not so much, as it didn't have much meat on there and was dry. Service was fast as I got take out. It's a chill spot not too many seats. I will stop by for another buffalo pizza!

A couple of bites is all ya need to prepare for their delicious pizzas. My go to is light on the Pepperoni Well Done (important) and a side of hot honey sauce and a side of plain honey. Because the hot stuff ain't no joke- I have to turn down the spice by mixing the two. Then it's like the best Sweet and Salty you can dream of then the heat kicks you in the face in the best way. To top it off don't even think about leaving before you have one of their brown butter chocolate chip cookies! They are ridiculous and a must. The reason we came in to order to-go was because we weren't happy with the Door-Dash delivery of same last time. The pizza just didn't travel well. This time with our to-go order it traveled a bit better and was fresher. We think it would be even better (4 stars) if we dined in. We also had a nice salad of mixed greens with dried cherries and the like, but it didn't come tossed. The dried cherries were in one corner, the onions in another ... you get the idea. Tossing would have made it easier to eat on-the-go. But the service people were very nice, and the store was clean and roomy with a semi-open kitchen. We'd give this place another try next time when dining in.

Their patio is so fun, the street you overlook is pretty chill so there weren't a lot of cars or noise. The area has good enough traffic for decent people watching, that's always fun. Our server was so funny and cool. I wish I could remember his name, but he was having a good convo with the person I was with about basketball and it was just really nice. It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. It was nice to actually meet the owner too, he is the person who greeted us when we walked in and he was really nice. This place just seems like a good neighborhood spot. If I lived closer I'd probably go a lot more often. Great spot!!

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.
