Capishe was a fantastic dinner spot! The city view is incredible, and they validate parking for the garage next to it which was great. The food was reasonably priced and SO GOOD. You order and pay at the counter and then your food is served to you when it's ready. Quick service. Will be back soon!
Met Albert out on a Harley Ride who happens to be the owner. After a long day of riding and socializing we headed over to the restaurant. Albert gave us a tour before letting us sample a few of the favorite dishes there. It was absolutely amazing and the staff service was exemplary. Cant wait to head back. Paul
Wow! I came into this meal expecting a 4 star meal but I was happily surprised how great this pizza was. I got the San Lorenzo and the flavor combination was incredible. I need to start making this pizza at home - the sausage, sweet peppers, and onions worked so well together and really brought this pizza to life. I also did the Spicy Marinara Wings and they were good, but not amazing. I would have preferred them more crispy, but with oven roasted wings that's what you get. I'm going to try a dry rub next time, maybe it'll be a better texture. Overall I gotta go 5 stars because the pizza was that good.
Food and service are both bad. Don't know how to bartend. If you get takeout pizza expect to have to cook it yourself when you get home. I live across the street from this place and I will never go here again.
I must admit that my expectations for this restaurant were sky-high. I had seen incredible reviews and wonderful photos (especially of the pizzas), but I was disappointed and in full force. Let's start with the positives: a very pretty place, interesting decor, and beautiful pastries in the window that make your mouth water just by looking at them. Now for the points of concern: the furniture is very worn out, with a torn sofa, scratched and dirty tables. It's a very large space but clearly underused. We ordered a spicy Calabria and prosciutto pizza. The prosciutto pizza tasted ok, but I must admit that the prosciutto didn't seem to be of good quality and looked like lean ham. The spicy Calabria pizza was impossible to eat. We like peppers, but the level of it is so strong that you lose your taste buds. Each of us could only eat one piece and we left the whole pizza on the table. Unfortunately, there really was no way we could keep eating. The price is good, but I don't think I would go back because it didn't surprise us.
Food Ordered the Angelina and added artichokes. Really liked how there were options with regular pizza sauce and with no sauce. A lot of great food options but was only in the mood for pizza. I enjoyed the light crust, that bufala mozzarella was something special!! Nice garlic flavor, as well. Service Exceptional! You order at the front then pick an area to sit. Sat outside with it being mild weather outside and they bring the food to you. We asked for napkins and plates and they brought those, also. As soon as we were done eating, they cleaned up the table immediately. Ambiance Indoor and outdoor seating make it a great place to take in the city sounds with great company. I will definitely be back when I'm in Charlotte.

The food is good. BUT the parking garage charges you high fees even when capishe validates your parking ticket. Rip off for eating there & having to pay high fees for parking. Don't go here with a big group and stay over 2 hours.
My friends and I ordered take out from here for dinner. We ordered the Margherita pizza, rigatoni with chicken, and the San Lorenzo pasta. All were delicious! The pizza is a thinner Neapolitan style crust with fresh ingredients. The rigatoni came with mushrooms and a light cream sauce which was not too rich at all. Really comforting. The San Lorenzo came with sausage and was pretty spicy! This was probably my favorite one. Even the free breadsticks that came with the order were fluffy and warm when they were delivered. It was overall delicious! I bet it'd be even better dining in.
Food came out hot and on time. We also ordered a side salad that was good and plentiful. As for the carbonara pasta while the presentation was great, I wouldn't order again. It was very bland and lacked flavor especially in the noodles. Sadly I spent more time adding Parmesan and pepper to dress it up but still didn't do the trick. Maybe if I let it sit and try again tomorrow it'll be better. But seriously lacks flavor.

I tried to get the grease off with napkins but even so it was so floppy and tasted like it was soaked in grease. The salad was fine. Also, it is counter service and they flip the screen around for you to tip. I tipped my regular 20%. When my salad arrived I asked for a fork and the lady bringing the salad told me I could get my own fork across the restaurant. They should make it clear there's no table service ahead of suggesting 20% tips.
Spacious setting with outdoor seating and fast service. We've been a few times and the pizza is decent and well prepared (not burnt). I went with the Calabria Piccante the first time and peppers were a little much for me. The second time I went with the San Lorenzo and it wasn't quite as flavorful as I had hoped. Decent selection of beers on tap. Service was friendly and prompt.

Interesting quick service italian restaurant serving a variety of menu items including pastas, pizzas and salads. They also offer a variety of desserts in a glass case and rotating flavors of gelato for purchase. The restaurant itself is very pretty with a mix of high top and low top tables. They have string lights strung up on the ceiling and garage style doors that were open when my group went which allowed for a nice breeze to run through the restaurant. I ordered the linguine carbonara which was delicious! The pasta was perfectly al denté and the sauce was flavorful and yummy. I only wish the pancetta was not cooked so hard as some pieces were a bit hard to chew /crunchy in an unappealing way. All of the pasta dishes come with bread, initially envisioned garlic bread or a breadstick but it was actually small squares of what could best be described as pita bread? Which felt like an odd addition and was not very good. I ended my meal with a chocolate chip cannoli which was delicious as well. The perfect amount of filling with a nice texture of the added chocolate chips. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my pasta and dessert and the service was quick and efficient. This is a great spot for quick lunch or dinner and nice enough to have a good conversation there. read more

Came in and was surprised that it wasn't a fancy sit-down place but you order at the front then find your own seat. The lady was very nice and helped us choose food since it was our first time here. The inside is very nice, lots of patio lights hanging on the ceiling but wish the music was just a bit quieter since we were one of five groups here. You order at the counter when you walk in, take your order number, they bring out the food to you, and you leave your dishes at the table. Service was good with the table and the guy that cleaned off our table was nice as well. We ordered the 15" Margherita pizza, Linguini Alfredo w/chicken, and an Italiano spring salad. Ordered and the food came to the table within 10 minutes of ordering. Pizza was great, crust was crunchy but not burnt. Pasta sauce had a great flavor, the chicken definitely had a good lemon flavor and crust to it. read more

This is truly a hidden gem. I was visiting the hospital nearby and was looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled across this place. When you walk in, you order immediately and you're given a number and they bring the food out to you. I got the margarita (sp) with meatballs. Everything is made to order and the pasta is homemade! It was delicious! Pictures do not do this justice! There's also garage parking right next to it and they validate, which is good for two hours after it's validated. Definitely will be back when I visit town! read more

Tasty food with likely the best prices in town gets Capishe an automatic 5 stars. Had a margherita pizza and alfredo pasta with broccolini for under $20, unheard of in this town! Only complaint (if any) is the pizza needed a bit more sauce. The pasta was terrific. I rarely order alfredo because it's usually gloppy and gross but this alfredo was light and the crunchy broccolini made it extra delectable. Highly recommend! read more
A thousand times yes. Order everything from here. It's delicious, fresh, and absolutely worth every penny. I can't rave enough about this place; it's absolutely delicious. I did have this delivered, so can't speak to in-store service and experience, but my order was spot on and still hot when it was delivered, so that was great. Here's what I got: - Calabria piccante: I love flavourful spicy food and the Calabrian peppers really made this dish stand out! It's actually what made me go out and buy a jar of Calabrian peppers once I was home! That's how delicious this was. - Broccolini with sausage: Pretty delicious; nice char on the broccolini and not too heavy on me. I'm giving it two stars (instead of one) because the margarita pizza was decent, but the other items ordered were a disappointment. The pesto pizza was sooo greasy... it leaked through the box and onto the seat of my car, then when we tried to eat it, it was literally dripping with oil. We couldn't eat it and had to throw it away. The cake was missing the whole front part, as if it was attached to another slice when they cut it. You can't tell that well in the photo, but it was missing a lot and it was very dry. Overall not a good experience and don't think I'll be back. read more

So very flavorful for such an amazing price! Truly in wonder. The pasta is so richly flavored, incredibly portioned and just all around amazing. Decided to try the pizza here based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and was not disappointed. The 10" pizza was a perfect size and tasted amazing. Service was extremely quick. My pizza was out in no time. I will definitely go again and try other options on the menu. read more

First and last time. There was an attitude about the staff that is completely uncalled for. I added onions to a salad, it was an additional $2. I told them my pizza was not hot. The dude had a fit. He went on and on about their oven is 1000 degrees, ok but I'm holding this pan in my hand. It ain't 1000 and my food is luke warm. Post Covid, customer service does not exist. read more
WOW, not sure how I haven't reviewed Capishe..I swear I have, but needless to say going to review again, ha ha. I dined here once before Covid, but since then have ordered for pickup and delivery only. From the service to the food, Capishe is one of my favorite pizzas, neopolitan style, at this time. My go to is the traditional Margarita with sausage, heaven. I also love adding Mushrooms! The Chicken Rigatoni is my go to Pasta! The pizza is light with an amazing crust, and unlike some pizza joints, they do not overwhelm the pie with toppings, just right. This allows you to appreciate the integrity of the pizza. The sauce is light, just to my liking. Oh, last note, amazing gelato! But, I only order when I do pickup. Not sure if it is available for delivery. If you haven't been definitely recommend it, and it you like pasta more than pizza check out the Chicken Rigatoni! read more

Capishe is one of my all time favorite pizza spots in Charlotte. I'm actually embarrassed that I have never reviewed them before because I eat there at least once a month. Not only do they have pizza, but salads, pasta (made in house) and amazing gelato! Their pepperoni pizzas come loaded with pepperoni, they do not skimp! The crust is perfect with a nice char on it and the cheese is also bubbling hot when you receive it. It truly is one of the best pizzas in Charlotte at a cheaper price point than other options. The food also comes out really fast. The interior is beautiful with lights adorning the ceiling and then it's open with an indoor/outdoor feel. The patio has quite a view of uptown Charlotte which is a perfect on a good weather day. There also serve beer and wine. What more can you want beyond validated parking which they also have - just bring in your ticket! It's super family friendly, I've brought my nieces there many times but it's also good for a casual date night. I like that I can go there in my sweats or dressed up and it doesn't matter - same quality service every time. It's a non- pretentious place. I'm still really sad the SouthPark location closed (I guess we can blame Covid?) but I'm glad this location which is the OG is still going strong.
