I wanted a snack last Saturday so I decided to try out a pizza spot close to my house. When I walked in I saw it was rather busy. The staff greeted me immediately. The guy who took my order was super nice. I ordered a few slices, the garlic knots, and a beef patty. I just had to try it all. The food was done in 5 mins or less. I Got home and was surprised that I had found a gem so close to home. I would def recommend this place to anyone looking for great pizza with a NY feel. read more

So many food options here, they legit sell Jamaican beef patties and I was shocked lol. This place had great service and better food! I had their extremely addictive garlic knots and the veggie pizza. I've already been back for just garlic knots, sooooo good. It's a no frills spot that really delivers in flavor and kindness. IDK but the guys behind the counter are just so friendly every time I go. The parking was super easy since this post is inside of a plaza. I also tried their salad the 2nd time I went for garlic knots and it was also delicious. You can kinda get a little of everything here and that isnt always the case at most pizza shops. If I could give a negative got their customer service I would. We were in the hospital all day with our kid and as soon as he had the clearance to eat he wanted his pizza. My husband calls to order and a girl answers "hello". No branding or anything. My husband then ways hello is this Due Amici's she says "yes". Like where is the professionalism. When my husband proceeds to order for pick up she then tells him if he cannot get there in 15 min she can't take his order. It's 7:00 remind you they close at 8pm. You don't know what we can don we could've been outside. The rudeness of how she addressed him was so dismissive we just said never mind and said nope we will never again eat here. High scores on the One Bite App. I saved it to my Charlotte collection and if I was close by would make it happen. I was close by and totally made it happen! We had a large pepperoni pizza and a chicken parm sandwich. The pizza was greasy. It was ok but nothing too special. I am from New England and we are spoiled here with good food. It may be hard to compete with my spoiled New England tastebuds... But the chick parm was delicious! The real winner. The chicken was a little thin but the cheese and sauce combo. Ordered takeout got it home it was all fresh and still hot. Loved the Mozz Pizza such a nice flavor. The Chicken Parm pizza was loaded up and very good as well. Finally made it here. It has been on the YELP Charlotte Top 100. It did not disappoint. You walk in and you would swear you beamed to NYC. It reminds me very much of a NYC pizza shop. All the goodies on display in the cases. And a flipping mound of garlic knots which I regret not getting. Next time! We had a to go order - a chicken parm pizza and a Sicilian style cheese. They were fantastic. So why not 5 stars? The sauce was a touch sweet for my liking. Still very good. No joke, those 2 pizzas probably weighed 15 lbs! Truly the best pizza in the city. My family is from NY & CT. It's almost impossible to find authentic NY pizza in the south, but Due Amici brought that down here. It's a pretty busy and fast paced spot. You won't find the typical southern hospitality experience if that's what you like. Ordered take out from here the other day and it was delightful. We got two medium pizzas and 4 cannolis and rang in at $60. Not cheap but lots of food leftover and I dig some pizza leftovers. It was like three meals for two people. I'm talking each pizza. Those slices are big! The meat (sausage and pepperoni) was loved by our party. I didn't try as I don't eat red meat but they loved it. Said it had great flavor and juice. Hahha alright then. The veggie supreme was a bit surprising. No peppers but a ton of broccoli. Like a lot. And not crispy. And spinach which seemed canned. On my first visit, I wasn't really sure how to order. You walk in and there is a big menu above your head on the wall and there is a big food display with pizza and rolls right under. To the right there is another display with more food and desserts. No one really asked me if I needed help, only I was ready to order. I told the guy I had never been here before and wasn't sure what to order and he kind of just walked away. There was another guy at the counter so I just started pointing to a couple of the lies and asking what they were. I eventually went with their veggie pizza and a sausage and pepperoni for my son. So if you order from their premade pies, they stick them back in the oven and get them nice and toasty. When your food is ready, they do bring the food out to you. What lacked in customer service made up for it with that pizza. The veggie pizza I had was amazing. The crust was crispy and thin with still a nice chew to it. The veggies were all a perfect compliment to each other. Some still slightly crispy and others soft and tender. I of course had a bite of my son and for standard pepperoni and sausage pizza, I was impressed. The sauce is good and the cheese not at all too greasy. On my second visit, I felt much more comfortable ordering. The food came out super fast and it was just good as good as our visit. read more

This is the best NY style pizza in Charlotte! I've been coming here for 9 years and it never disappoints. After moving from New Jersey, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a good pizza spot and I was so glad to find this one pretty quickly. The restaurant is small and reminds me of a typical Pizzeria you would find up north. It's in a little shopping center next to a few small stores and a new movie theater. The staff here is always efficient and makes great food. I usually call for a pickup order and its ready in 20 minutes. Today, I ordered a large cheese pizza, garlic knots, a veggie roll and 3 cannoli. Their cheese pizza is my favorite. It's simple yet so good and flavorful. The slices are big and foldable. I love their garlic knots because they have so much fresh garlic on top. They're great dipped in marinara sauce. The veggie roll is also really good. It's pretty big and you can usually share it with someone. It has a lot of cheese and fresh vegetables. It's also great dipped in marinara sauce. I usually save room for cannoli. Their pizza is the best in the area, hence why I just drove 25 minutes for a couple slices that I couldn't even sit to eat and enjoy. Arrived at 8:20. Business claims it's open until 9:00. Ordered 4 slices total, 2 for each of us. Once they were heated, the guy behind the counter started putting them in a box. I told him we were staying, and his reply was, "No, it's got to be to go." Guess what, imbecile? Had you told me that before I ordered, I would have not ordered anything and figured out somewhere else to grab a bite. Meanwhile, there was a party of 8 with a table full of food in front of them. GUARANTEED, they still would have been there by the time we finished, had we been able to eat there. We decided to go for pizza by the slice. The pizza is already ready, they just heat it up for you. We went with buffalo chicken and a stuffed slice. Of course we also had to try some garlic knots. Everything was delicious. The stuffed slice was very unique. The buffalo chicken was probably the best buffalo chicken pizza I've had. The undercooked garlic knots were my favorite. I think this is the best New York style pizza I've had in Charlotte. They were super friendly. The food is ready very fast. It's super affordable. I tried this restaurant a few months ago on a whim. I just got a plain cheese pizza while my husband was out of town, hoping to be able to return to it for leftovers. I took the first bite and had to force down the rest of the slice. For the first time in my life, I threw nearly an entire pizza out. I love NY style pizza, but the cheese was barely there, the sauce was sweeter than I like and the dough just wasn't good. I would not return, though, it could very well be personal preference in how I like my pizza. One other thing: the service was so transactional it was close to unfriendly.
