So I got a large Bianca pizza and added pepperoni, and it was about $30 after tip. Pretty pricey for me. Then I saw the lunch special sign and was so sad I didn't see that online because I could have saved money. AND THEN I picked up the pizza and put it in my car, and the aromas radiating off of that pie were unreal. Heavenly. AND THEN I got home and looked at it, and just knew it was made with love and whoever was cooking deserves nothing but good in this world. AND THEN I took a bite, and when I tell you I could have cried. Just phenomenal. I love this place and can't wait to try the lunch special. Thank you for excellent service and an out of this world pie.

It's a pizza spot but they do wings so WELL! I got 12 sweet chili wings and they were cooked to perfection, not too hard but just right. I love that the sauce is so thick that it sticks well to the wings, flavoring them to perfection in every bite. I added a side of fries and they, too, were piping hot and golden brown. For me to finish twelve wings says everything! And, staff is amazing. They are so friendly and attentive.
Before I start, I want to make note that my pizza was delivered, and my husband used to say grading a pizza place based on delivery isn't exactly fair, unless delivery is all they offer. Pizza is best piping hot or cold from the fridge and not a lot between. Okay. Onward. I have been meaning to try Levantes forever but it's in a part of town I don't frequent (and if I'm close by chances are I'll get a Cookout tray, double up on cheese bites). So feeling disinclined to cook tonight - and hey, give me a break; last night I made spinach and mushroom risotto from scratch - I finally took the plunge. None of the specialty pizzas really grabbed me so I did a CYO (create your own) with mild Italian sausage and red onions. Ordered a large, regular sauce, so I have leftovers, else really why bother? Now, as a baker and a good second-generation Russian-American lover of bread, I must first and foremost have a good crust. I grew up in the northeast so a thin, chewy dough is my preference. Gold star here, Levantes. The crust was properly bubbled and brown and toothy and solid enough that I really want to try their calzones. Next is the sauce, which should have only enough sugar to blunt the tomato acidity. Again, gold star. The sauce should always complement but not overwhelm a pizza with cheese. (Pizza marinara is another matter.) Speaking of, the mozzarella was quality, and if the dough, the sauce or the cheese is lacking, I will turn up my nose at a pizza faster than a toddler with Brussels sprouts. Only quibble was with the sausage. I like ground sausage and expected it but what arrived was sliced. Also a bit salty. Neither of these things to me was significant enough to deduct points. Toppings were generous too. I kinda want to give Levantes four stars but I am betting anything getting it fresh and hot would take me to five stars, so they get the benefit of the doubt. Will update my review when I get to try a calzone. Good pie, Levantes!

In my search for a go to pizza spot in Charlotte, Levantes Pizza was my next try. After reading a few favorable reviews, I ordered a few items to go. The reviews were correct with a clean and friendly environment. That's a good start. I ordered my standard to measure by. A regular pie for me, a gluten free pie for my wife and a meatball sub. My wife thought the crust of her pizza was good, but in her opinion, she felt the sauce was really garlicky. My pizza was ok. It looked nice but I found It was on the same level as pizza from Costco or Harris teeter. My meatball sub was passable. Nothing that I will order again or recommend to people looking for pizza. I will continue my search.

I've never been here, so I took my time going over the menu and everything looked so good! I ended up ordering a small Supreme Pizza, Garlic Knots, and 6 Traditional Sweet BBQ wings. The presentation was great, and the food was ok, but nothing had an extraordinary taste. I dived into the garlic knots first because they looked sooooo good...but I tasted more olive oil and just a hint of garlic. They were baked to perfection, but I wasn't impressed with the taste. The pizza was better than the garlic knots, but I could only really taste the black olives. The sauce had no outstanding taste, yet kept it from being dry, and the same for the rest of the ingredients. It's as if nothing was seasoned, yet again the crust was perfect! The wings were pretty good! I'd definitely get those again, and I'd also try another pizza. I gave 4 stars because I enjoyed it enough that I'd go back...nothing was nasty; I'd just need some garlic butter or something to brush over the knots and some seasoning to sprinkle over the pizza if the sauce remains the same. Try them out tho...and especially the wings!
Well, some of the Toppings were good and some not so good. 3 Pizzas were ordered . Margarita was good. Second Pizza was A Grilled chicken with Red sweet Pepper. Crust not cooked enough. 3rd Pizza was a Vodka sauce with Italian Sausage and Fresh Mozzarella- some of the worst sausage i have had ! Paper thin slices that tasted almost old or spoiled. My first time ordering and might be the last Over 110.00 and not worth it ! read more

I wasn't expecting this pizza shop to be as good as I thought. It had the look of a typical chain Surprisingly it was excellent Crispy, full of flavor, great chew It's a go! Back pizza shop The only reason I went was I was doing my laundry and DD peckers was closing Great find for me.. read more

I ordered delivery. I always see their delivery drivers in my neighborhood, and I had heard their food was good. The pizza was good, but not better or worse than most places in the area. The pizza had a good crust and flavor overall, but the cannoli was the highlight for me. I love a good cannoli and they have a good cannoli. Crispy with a rich thick filling. The food was hot a fresh and out the spot for a Saturday night movie night. read more

Levante's gets the job done if you're not looking for big chain-style pizza later in the evening. Nothing really impressive or unique about the taste/flavor - and certainly not a place that would survive in NY - but in Charlotte this place will do just fine. Gino D's, is still the obvious choice for genuine, great quality NY style pizza, bar none. If you're looking for craft style pizza and are craving a good Diavola, you go to Inizio. Summary: Open later than most pizza spots, so the convenience factor is a big plus. Other than that, average pizza with a high price tag. Two small pizzas, 6 wings, and a tiramisu was just over $70 delivered (including fees). read more

Excellent fresh food, great service and competitive pricing. We ordered Club with side of fires, Chicken Bacon Ranch and garden salad, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and plenty of lighting. read more

Omg!!!! A real real pizza shop that delivers to my house. Not a chain but real authentic pizza. So freaking great it. I ordered a large Supreme and a Greek salad. Got to me in less than an hour. I'm sold. This is our new pizza spot. I now need to sample the rest of the menu. read more

Even God likes Levantes.... The pizza is great but the pasta is excellent as well. Salads are a nice add with scratch made dressings. Don't forget a piece of Tiramisu which is worth a stop by itself. I need to try the subs which look amazing. read more

Was craving pizza but not the typical kind so I decided to give this place a try since it's near my home. I ordered the Spinach & Artichoke pizza and a small Cesar salad. The pizza includes Alfredo sauce, spinach, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, red onions, grilled chicken and bacon. All these ingredients pair well together and made for one delicious pie. This is my new fav speciality pizza but I do want to try some of the others such as the BBQ Chicken & Bacon and the Chicken Pesto. read more

Won't be back. Very Rude.. If you look at the comments by the manager below you can see how he criticised the way I ordered my pizza. That was not kind. Xtra Cheese pizza- Bland and Greasy. The bland taste was not the lack of sauce or cheese. It was the lack of taste for either the cheese or sauce. It was like a bland protein bar, gross. Original review: I deleted.. Stomach pains and unfortunate discomfort rushing to the restroom shortly after consumption. read more

I waited patiently for this pizza place to open up, and the wait was definitely worth it! We always order their specialty pizzas: a medium Bianca Pizza and add Chicken to the pizza and a Small Mediterranean Pizza minus the red onions. Their pizzas are always flavorful and consistent in their taste each and every time that we order. This location only has pick up available, no tables for dine in. Ordering is seamless and quick and our order is always ready when we arrive to pick it up. read more
