As mentioned previously, there are some employees with attitude; some being downright rude. Anna in deli comes to mind. Recently stopped by to pick up broasted chicken. Anna told me it wasn't ready and to come back in 5 minutes. When I came back, she stared at me for a few seconds, turned, and walked away. She then proceeded to take care of another customer. I stood there for a while before another employee asked if I was being helped. I mentioned what had happened, and the girl simply rolled her eyes. I understand that everyone can have a bad day from time to time, but a week later, I stopped at the deli again for some coleslaw. While standing directly in front of her, she again looked past me like I wasn't there and took an order from a young guy standing behind me. Why this woman has some kind of issue with me personally, I have no idea but, her behavior is beyond insulting, rude, and passive-aggressive. How someone can be employed in customer service and act like this indicates a systemic problem with management and how their employees perform their responsibilities. Maybe comments like mine will rectify a significant problem within a decent store and franchise.

The woman at the deli she was nothing short than rude. I left my entire cart there and left without spending a penny. I'll never ever ever be back there. If you can give customer service then you should not be in that field.

We had a good stop here. We were interested in a Leinenkugels promotion for State Fair tickets and…read morethey had a great selection of beers at good prices. The checkout in liquor was quick and convenient. They also had a tasting in the liquor dept of a Tito's spritz that was pretty good. Then, we had to grab a few other things in the store so walked through pretty quickly with a targeted attack. It's easy to get distracted here as they just pack so much in to every aisle. Their prices are pretty comparable to other grocery stores but they do have some good sales. The vibe is a little chaotic, similar to a Costco sometimes. That being said, they have a phenomenal selection of cheese with local and commercial offerings. We would come back but perhaps during off hours so as to not have to navigate a chaotic parking lot.

Update, June 16, 2026:…read more Some of us have good reason to use self-check, especially with many items. The clerks at the other lanes, being in a hurry of course, must just toss everything willy-nilly into a bag (and they'd do exactly the same, even if using the boxes (yes, reusable BOXES) that I bring, and my reusable double paper bags with handles. I pack my stuff a certain way for the ride back home -- so, thanks but no thanks to foregoing the self-check. But yeah, Stan D., nearly always a technical problem at the POS checkout. For both of our last two visits, 2 of 3 self-checks OUT OF ORDER . . . with no one, the entire time, coming around to make any effort, of any kind, to get them up and running. As a bonus -- During my LONG time spend in what should be a fast process (with food thawing the entire time), there's the same ongoing and repeated problem in the lane that WAS "working": frequent yawps of "Please place item on the belt", after it had, of course, already been scanned correctly and, um, DUH, correctly placed onto the belt. Retrieve it from the big pile of done stuff, bring it back, put it onto the belt (AGAIN), swear, hold mock pistol against your temple, pull the mock trigger. The latest 20-minute odyssey, behind just ONE other person, took that long precisely for that reason. (Without those asinine and infuriating glitches, my scanning and paying would be among the fastest in history.) This sh*t no longer feels like a reasonable price to pay, in exchange for what is still, in my view, an excellent selection and good prices (compared to the joke known as Pick 'n Save, and the lovely but costly Sendik's).

Date of visit: August 16, 2025…read more Unlike the Metro Market in Glendale, this is a true Metro Market, with upscale offerings and a wider selection of items to choose from. While visiting today I found samples of parmesan in a balsamic vinegar that was quite tasty. My main goal was to secure some bakery items for a party and while the selection looked a bit picked over, I had to remind myself that it was after 2 in the afternoon and the store had been open for quite a while at that point. After procuring a couple packs of loaf cake, we headed to the front though I unfortunately did not locate my favorite part of Metro Market: The Clearance Aisle! Hopefully I will find it next time. Sadly, despite the store being busy and bustling, only one grouping of self checkouts was open, which seemed short-sighted yet on brand for Metro Market.

They had a watermelon that was in the ad.. they had no strawberries that were in the ad. And they were out of Claussen pickles that were in the ad. And as far as rain check, the only rain check I could get with the strawberries. So three out of the six items I went shopping for or out of stock.. why shop at the store. We always tend to go to Sussex because they seem to have the items in stock but we decided to stop in here cause it was on our way home.. never do that again. My neighbor had the same issue. She's not shopping there yet either..
