three tiered cupcakes with white frosting
Tara N.

These wonderful owners stepped in at the last minute and saved me from a wedding disaster! My original caterer backed out on me with a week's notice and I stopped in to see if they could provide me with the frosting to make my own cake or cupcakes. They could have, but instead they created beautifully decorated and delicious cupcakes for our event. (The lemon was everyone's favorite!) I had previously purchased some of their holiday chocolates and hot chocolate bombs, which were also spectacular. I highly recommend this business and look forward to visiting them at their new location!

Decided to go to public market today in Milwaukee. I stopped at this candy shop. Excellent customer…read moreservice and amazing chocolate. The chocolate covered strawberry special was amazing! Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back!

I'm really surprised this place is so popular. I tried a variety of their chocolates from milwaukee…read morepublic market. They were all a similar quality, maybe a half step above something like a gold brick egg or the unbranded chocolates you get on easter or valentines day. Each and every one of their chocolates was made out of an identically flavored, identically consistent hard chocolate coating. The "coconut clusters" were literally just the same exact chocolate used for coatings, with a small amount of shredded coconut mixed in, in a solid glob that you have to gnaw on. I truly believe I could make a better coconut cluster at home in my kitchen right now with no experience. No mind was paid to ratios: the delicate honeycomb candy and whipped vanilla candy had such a thick hard chocolate coating on it that when you bit into it all you could taste was the chocolate and not the filling. The truffles... didn't resemble a truffle in anything but appearance. They were some type of fudge (again, think unbranded valentines day box) covered in the same super duper hard and thick chocolate coating. They were actually hard to eat. The ubiquitous chocolate was overly sweet and had nothing interesting about it. If I'm going to have too-sweet chocolate I prefer something like a hersheys bar. The only items I thought even had an appropriate filling to coating ratio, density, and flavor matchup was the jelly candy and toffee. The toffee was just identical to a heath bar, but I do like heath bars! The only compliment I have for this place is it's relatively cheap and would delight a child who could pick out a variety of things to try. I guess if you're looking for a local alternative to stuff stockings and easter baskets with, this would be a good idea. Due to its placement in the market, the typical chocolatier display, and the individually priced pieces of chocolate, I assumed this would be an artisanal product and was disappointed.

The shop is right off of 43 and has plenty of parking. Employees were very friendly and helped walk us through all of the confections. Everything is in little glass cases displaying the gorgeous way their candy is decorated. We got a box of Bon Bons, Little Bit of Everything bar, Macaroons, a pint of Caramel Apple Gelato, and a scoop of Cookies'n Cream in a cone. The Bon Bons had a flavor guide included which was appreciated! My favorite was the salted caramel, always a classic. The everything bar was excellent but too many flavors going on for my taste. The macaroons are some of the best in the area! Perfectly chewy meringue with a creamy center. The gelato was the perfect consistency and held up nicely on the twenty minute drive home. I highly recommend a stop next time you have a sweet tooth!

They make really beautiful and creative bon bons, multi-colored chocolate bars, chocolate covered Oreos & pretzels, macarons, gelato, and other treats in milk or dark chocolate, and they also offer sugar-free and vegan confections! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, too. I'm not on this side of town often, but this is now a must stop for me when I am!

Been enjoying these chocolates for some time now…read more Came to a cocktails and chocolate class and cannot express how much you should sign up and go. We had a group of 10- and had such a nice evening. Someone needs to be designated driver- the cocktails were outstanding and the chocolate pairings were so complimentary. The owner was our host and she was so impressive. Loved every minute of our night. We will be back for more classes. And don't forget the chocolate. The cherry cordial probably was our favorite of the night. Bought a box- will not be sharing them at all.

We were a group of 13 and we were excited to get the night started here with a tasting. The wine was fantastic, I discovered some new favorite cheeses as well, and the chocolate was delicate, beautiful, and melted in your mouth. If you have not done tasting here you really should give it a try. It would make for the perfect date night, even. My favorite wine was 2018 Bodegas Nekas El Chaparrall Garnacha, my choice for cheese is Luna (Apline/Gouda Blend from WI), and the Gray Salt Caramel Truffle won my vote for best chocolate. The staff takes you through each grouping prior to your tasting providing background information as well as why the 3 items pair well together. I would have given a 5 star rating, but towards the end of our visit we waited for a significant amount of time before getting information on the 3rd pairing because another party had shown up. With only a staff of 2, they were not able to get that party started and come back to us without many of us wondering what was taking so long.
