    Morning Buns- delicious
    Ben W.

If you want to talk about best morning bun/cinnamon bun in town, I think I have found the one! The dough is flaky like a crispy croissant yet the outside is filled with sweet cinnamon sugar and between each pull apart dough layer there's another layer of cinnamon sugar that just makes this past no. 1 in town for also the cheapest price of 3.75$. Can't beat the price or quality! Must try and sure enough it's always busy and gotta try all the other rotating weekly dessert specials too! The bottom up carrot cake was out of this world too!

The absolute best bakery. I would drive out of my way to come here, it's that good. They're known for their cheesecake which we like to get for birthday parties. It has a thin layer of raspberry filling, a chocolate cake bottom and is covered in chocolate ganache. A half a sheet of it cost $108 and that included writing and a polka dot design on the top of the cake. It's always a huge hit and utterly rich and decadent. I also highly recommend the carrot cake. Other than cakes, you'll find a great assortment of baked goods + pastries including a pastry of the month. I think the prices are very affordable especially for the quality. They also sell some food items in a fridge/freezer including containers of cookie dough. They also have birthday and seasonal decor items for sale like cake toppers, candles, cards, etc. service is always helpful and efficient. Be sure to take a number when you arrive or you may be waiting for a bit - they can get periodically busy depending on the time of the year.

Simma's Bakery in Milwaukee is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The bakery itself is gorgeous, beautifully curated, warm, inviting, and full of incredible selections. Beyond the desserts, even the gifts inside are out of this world and feel so thoughtfully chosen. What I thought was going to be a quick stop for a cheesecake turned into such a memorable experience. Simma's makes getting a sweet treat feel like so much more than that. It feels like a destination. It's the kind of place you want to linger in, take in, and come back to. Honestly, it would even make a great date spot. Emily helped me, and she was truly unforgettable. She is such a bright light. Kind, intelligent, welcoming, and genuinely special. I could have talked to her all day. She made the entire experience feel personal, joyful, and memorable. You can just tell she is going places. It is rare to come across a place that is not only beautiful, but also filled with people who make you want to come back again and again. I will absolutely be returning to Simma's Bakery, not only because of how wonderful everything was, but because Emily made such an impression on me. Truly a lovely experience from start to finish.

Simma's is a classic place for bakery and desserts. Such beautiful pieces. A really great bakery to get elevated desserts for parties.

Simma's Bakery: One of Milwaukee's renowned bakeries, Simma's first opened in 1982. The bakery was founded by a Russian immigrant that lends her name to the bakery. After Simma's death, the bakery was sold by her daughter to the Carollo family, who still run the bakery today. I've had Simma's before, but it was back around 2013. For this review, it's a version of their cheesecake that was used as a cake at a friend's wedding. Simma's cheesecake is not a typical plain old New York Style but instead incorporates multiple layers and some non-traditional aspects. To be perfectly honest, Simma's cheesecake has never impressed me, but I seem to be the odd duck as almost everyone else in the city seems to rave about it. Beginning with the chocolate cake bottom, it's not moist enough for me. The best part is the cheesecake layer, but there's nothing special about it that makes it stand out. I'm not a fan of fruit or jelly in my desserts, so even though it's not that noticeable, the raspberry layer puts me off. Lastly is the outer shell, which is sort of like white chocolate. Like the cheesecake layer, it's alright. A number of you are going to read this and say I have an unsophisticated palate, or I make lowbrow choices, but The Cheesecake Factory is where it's at for me. Twelve years later and Simma's is still just okay in terms of taste. The appearance of the entire cake was lovely though and still easily better than most standard wedding cakes I've encountered. We have ordered cakes from Simma's 3 times in the last 5 months. Every time, cakes have been delicious and exactly how we've ordered. The last time, Simma's management team went above and beyond for us, we cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day memorable. Everyone raved about the cakes! We also love the pastries they have in store, their carrot and pumpkin are delicious! THANK YOU!

Decadent Desserts + Friendly Service! What more could you want? Stopped by on a whim to grab my most fav ECLAIR in the land! It was rather busy Saturday afternoon 2:00. A lot of choices were sold out, so earlier you go more choices you have! However, fyi grab a ticket # from the counter & they assist you really quickly! Lily helped me with my order; she was so pleasant and helpful! Her smile & customer service skills would make you think she might just be the owner! There's also a boutique vibe to the bakery. Cards, gifts, fun decor & they sell gift cards as well! See pic: 2 eclairs, strawberry cake, 2 whoopie's, chocolate & ganache something, and fudge-like brownie. All Divine!

As always, Simma's delivers on taste and quality. Did not want to order an entire cake, so I took advantage of the case with individual slices of dreamy desserts. The cheesecake and carrot cake are always winners, but the dessert of the month was amazing and unexpected. A cookies and cream style cake - the frosting was out of this world, the flavor was delicious, and somehow it was not overly sweet. Thanks Simma's. I'll keep coming back for more!

Their desserts are fantastic! So sweet and nice! I've never ordered from them personally or gone into their shop, but I've had their sweets at other locations/parties.

Everyone spoke about the delicious cheesecake. They even included a Diamond ring. My grandson was pretty sure it was real. Thank you Simma's for the delicious desserts. You are the best.

Simma's Bakery offers a variety of baked goods and specialty desserts. I love their selection of cakes and tarts, always fresh and made with the best ingredients. A couple of my favorites are the key lime pie and fruit tarts. ‍

If you want a great cheesecake for any event, look no further than Simma's!!! Friendly and kind service serving the best cheesecake around. We picked up a cake for my mom's birthday, it was both beautiful and delicious. Personally I like a tad more fruit with my cheesecake so if you'd feel the same, maybe pick up your preferred fruit to add on the side. But overall this cheesecake is fantastic!!

Food: They have a large selection of breakfast pastries, including scones, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, and more. There are also some savory items, such as a rosemary biscuit. It was a tough choice, but when in doubt, I go for a scone, and they had a Maple Cinnamon one. I had it warmed up a bit, and it was delicious. These scones are not muffins in disguise, which means the texture is a bit drier and more crumbly--perfect alongside a hot beverage. For my drink, I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. I was hoping to have it served in an actual ceramic mug, but those are only offered to customers who order drip coffee. That said, they made a very good London Fog, with a little extra lavender and plenty of foam. For my taste, it could have been a bit hotter. Service: Everyone who helped us was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of time to choose the perfect pastries. When ordering the London Fog, they explained how they make theirs and how they would add the extra lavender, which I appreciated. As mentioned above, they do not provide mugs for specialty drinks, using mugs instead to keep track of customers who have paid for bottomless drip coffee. I could bring my own mug from home, but I am not a fan of carrying around coffee shop essentials. Atmosphere: The building is nicely designed on the outside and sits on a corner with plenty of large windows that bring in natural light. It faces north, so you avoid the glaring morning sun. Upon entering, there is a short walk to the counter, where you can view all of the bakery and pastry items. A menu board above clearly displays the breakfast and lunch offerings, making it easy for first time visitors. There are numerous tables that accommodate small groups, and a fireplace with a couple of upholstered chairs offers a cozy seating option. Even after filling up with customers, the noise level was very good, and easy to have casual conversations. A nice visit and a place I would enjoy coming back to.

Inside there are several small tables or a counter with seats that face out the front window. The inside design is bright and friendly. Was excited to see all the amazing looking pastries, cookies, and rolls in the case. So with all this goodness in mind, I was a little taken aback by the greeting I got from the male cashier/barista. He appeared grumpy and curt. One of the things I asked for (and I always do) is extra foam with my London Fog Tea Latte. He just flat out said it couldn't be done (because they use a concentrate and not tea bags), but I know that's not the case and have had that before. Now, if you are reading this, you might be thinking, "get over it." However, it was my first time here, and the exchange between us was very strained. After ordering my London Fog, with an amazing looking Apricot Almond Scone, we grabbed a small table. After a little wait, they brought my beverage, and it was very good, and it had extra foam! Nice job! However, I had asked to have my scone warmed up, and it never came. I could actually see it sitting on the kitchen counter, and I asked someone if they could bring it out, which they apologized for. The scone was as amazing as it looked -- warm, nice texture, with almonds and icing on top. There is a lot to like about this place. Great atmosphere, with excellent products. However, the service that I got on this particular (first) visit was not great. I would stop again to see if it was any better the next time. This could easily go from a 4 to 5 star review :) P.S. Everyone can have a bad day. However, when I checked out some other reviews, I noticed a few others that mentioned the service, and I wonder if this is something that needs to be attended to?
