My absolute favorite place to get a caramel apple. I love the Belgian milk chocolate dipped caramel apple, so delicious. Also, when in season chocolate dipped strawberries. The strawberries are always big and so juicy! Amy's is a cozy little shop with friendly staff that has just about anything you need or want to satisfy a sweet tooth. We have purchased apples for our family that live out of state to add to their anniversary gift basket and they absolutely loved the apples as well. It is a stop on the tour when we have out of town guests as well. Everybody always loves Amy's! I can't recommend Amy's enough! read more

If you're a fan of caramel apples and sweets, you must stop by Amy's!! They offer a wide variety of chocolate/sweet assortment and dipped apples that are so delicious and gigantic ! My top choice is the pecan caramel apple! I've also tried a few of their chocolate truffles- super tasty. I appreciate that the staff is always very kind and efficient with their service, especially in the busy season. Definitely recommend trying out if you have a sweet tooth and are looking for top tie caramel apples! read more

Took the kids in for a small treat! Right now they have a lot of Easter themed candy that is all made in house. Their chocolate is awesome! I love their dark chocolate! This time I got a piece of the dark chocolate peanut lovers bark! So good! My kids got the small cake pieces. The staff here is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great! This place is also known for its candy apples! We have had them in the past and they're amazing ! read more

I have been exclusively buying my caramel apples from Amy's for nearly a decade now. I don't bother with anyone else. Amy's apples and their chocolate goodies are top tier. I make the two-hour drive from Chicago at least 2-4 times a year. You honestly can't go wrong with anything. A plain sea salt caramel apple? A peanut butter cup? Some truffles? They're all delicious. I would also take great caution when looking at their website. The website prices are at least a 50% markup. These do NOT reflect pricing in the actual store (which I recommend visiting instead). read more

Yelp check-in 10% off, see picture. Quality/Quantity - My daughter loves caramel apples, but at the last second she decided not to get another one. We got her one yesterday. Atmosphere - Small to-go place. All the candies look so fresh and good! Open kitchen/bakery. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm, open Sundays from 10am to 7pm. Service - Good. Price - Above average, but you have to pay for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1996. read more

I've heard such wonderful things about Amy's and even had the pleasure of trying the delicious snickers caramel apple last year. Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit Amy's for myself. Wow! The place is busy as expected. However, I felt very overwhelmed and rushed by staff the minute I walked in. The store isn't huge and obviously busy, however, the rush gave me a negative taste. When I enter a chocolate shop/candy store, I'd like to be able to look around at everything offered to see what I'd like. Unfortunately, I did not get that vibe here at all and I'm bummed. There's tons in the case offered and lots to look at on the shelves, but very hard to do so when people won't allow you through and staff are rushing people. I skipped the well known caramel apples and grabbed 2 pretzel rods, and a bag of the pretzels with toffee. The price was high, however, I value quality. Next time, I'd skip the place if it's busy and also skip the pretzel rods (wasn't very good for the price paid). read more

We were walking around downtown and happened by Amy's and the caramel apples in window looked amazing. We tried to get in but it was so crowded we couldn't even get in the door. We decided to wait till the next morning and try again. Much better, we didn't realize what a famous place this is. Everything looked awesome. It was so hard to choose form but we decided on a plan caramel, peanut, and pecan. We also got some other types of candy. Everything was great, the apples are so fresh and packaged so well. It took us a good week to eat them all and they were the best caramel apples we have ever had. Now that we know it, will be a must stop when in the area. read more

The choice of candies and caramel/chocolate is astonishing. Delicious truffles and individual dipped chocolates are superb. You name it and they more than likely carry it. Some truffles are so big my husband and I share one. Deelish! read more

Amy's Candy Kitchen offers some of the tastiest caramel apples around and, if you have yet to try them, I definitely recommend! Their other confections are seemingly good as well but, IMO, the main driving point are the caramel apples! The hand-dipped apples do come in a variety of delights, from dark or milk chocolate with cashew, pecan, pistachio or door county cherry, to specialty apples like dirt cake, snickers and a seasonal Santa or frosty the snowman! Personally, my favorite is the dark chocolate sea salt or the Aztec dark chocolate with a little heat! read more

OMG. This place always smells amazing and the chocolate is so freaking good here. Every time I visit my in-laws in Wisconsin I make it a point to stop here because I cannot find a place in California that has chocolate covered pretzel rods that are nearly as good as this place. I wish this store would sell these pretzel rods online because I would buy at least 10 of them and ship them to my house. Definitely recommend this place, highly. I can't wait to come back here again the next time I'm in town! read more

Was staying in town for a birthday get away, and Amy's fits the bill for a bit of spoiling yourself! Charming old school kind of candy store with a decent selection of hand made candies. The candy apples are the obvious hit of the place and with reason, very delish as well as an interesting variety to choose from! The only ding I'd give the place is that the prices were a bit high. read more

Fall means Carmel apples! Amy's has really great apples and I make it a point to come every fall. The apples are big and shareable and the Carmel is super tasty. Oh Amy's Candy Kitchen - what have you done to me?!?! I cannot stop thinking about my caramel apple... While visiting Cedarburg, we passed Amy's as we walked along the main street for shopping and dining. So of course we stopped in twice because once was not good enough. The gorgeous apples called my name every time I walked by. The candies look lovingly made. So many choices for every taste and craving. I had my eye on the caramel apples as there were sooo many varieties. I settled on a salted caramel version that was much better than I expected. The creamy caramel with a hint of sea salt over a crisp delicious apple really set me off. Every bite was perfection. My friend enjoyed her apple with caramel and peanuts and also bought some beautiful Easter milk chocolates that she loved. Everything is so adorable in this cute spot. It feels like an old fashioned sweets shop from back in the day. The young girls working were so sweet and helpful. It was busy and they assisted everyone easily. I swear those taffy apples might cause me to move to Cedarburg!!! read more

They have been a Cedarburg icon for years. Wonderful Carmel apples and cute store. Very helpfulll staff

Very nice location and excellent selection. My wife got an assortment of bulk chocolates that were outstanding but a bit pricey at $34/pound. They have a wonderful selection of chocolate dipped apples with various added candies and other toppings. They were huge and beautiful but again a bit pricey at $7-11 per apple. Service was a little slow and we were there on a Friday afternoon with school back in session. Excellent quality but a little expensive. Suspect paying for the quaint locale a bit but if you are in the area and desire some fine chocolate this would still be a good choice. read more

5 stars is not enough to describe Amy's Carmel Apple I just finished. Someone thought of me enough to order me one for Valentine's Day and sent a big wet carmel kiss. When you really wanna say "I love you" to someone send them one of these apples. From the first bite to the last bite I felt the love. My mouth was in a tantric state of euphoria as I savored each bite. Honestly the finest tasting carmel apple I've ever eaten in my life. Creamy gourmet caramel that surrounds the apple sets this apart from all others, the confectioner is a mad genius. You may balk at the price, however life's to short to deny yourself the pleasure of the worlds best treat. Im ordering more after I'm done writing this review. read more

AMAZING!! Last Fall, at the urging of several relatives, we visited Cedarburg for the sole purpose of experiencing Amy's Candy Kitchen. Our family has a sweet tooth and Amy's did not disappoint!! The selection of Gourmet Caramel Apples is nearly unending. Amy's Apples are the perfect pairing of tart and sweet which make them not only a treat but an ideal gifting option. Amy's is now my go-to establishment for any and all types of celebrations. If you are near Cedarburg, Amy's Candy Kitchen is a MUST! If you are not, you can always utilize their online services. I believe I am currently on my 8th order. WARNING: These ARE addicting!! read more

Excellent. I will definitely return. Their caramel apples are fantastic. Really. The caramel is softer, like a real caramel candy, not overly sweet and they use Granny Smith apples, an excellent choice. They use lightly salted pecans on one, so you get a wonderful balance sweet and salty. Their pricing is surprisingly reasonable. At the time of this review, a plain caramel apple was $8.50, and I feel it was certainly worth it. They box them very nicely, so they travel well and make excellent gifts. (See my photos for what they look like.) If you are not certain, but one, try it and see for yourself. You will probably immediately realize you will want more. read more

Carmel apple heaven. best place for homemade sweets in the area

Truly handcrafted gourmet candies and Carmel apples. Gourmet high quality ingredients with over a dozen different toppings for her caramel apples. $8-$11 per Carmel apple but hold on... these Carmel apples are the best in my opinion. There has been weekends we drive 45 minutes to Cedarburg to get these apples. When we suggest going to Cedarburg we automatically say, "let's go to Amy's". I have heard the apples are hand selected for size and quality. We only once had bad tasting apples, based on the high quality we've come to experience with Amy's and called them. They gave us replacements without a fight. Each apple is loaded with whatever toppings you select. Look at the packaging for each apple and you see the attention to detail and quality and then you don't question the price. Or come on by and see how busy they are. Absolutely the best Carmel apples in SE Wisconsin if not all of Wisconsin. read more

Avid fan of Amy's, as I am guaranteed to stop whenever I am in the area. Though I can not vouch for most of their treats, their caramel apples will blow you away. Whether you crave sweet or salty, there is a wide variety to choose from. For those looking for a specific topping, I suggest you try and get there early as they do sell out. If you are trying to stick to a budget, this also may not be the place for you. amazing food and apples. they are expensive at around 13 dollars per apple but a great treat

I travel to Cedarburg about 2x/year. Knowing I was going, I was excited to get a cashew milk chocolate turtle apple. Went to Amy's and ordered the apple along with 2 separate chocolate candies. The clerk asked me several times what kind of candies I wanted and what kind of apple. I thought to myself, how many times do I need to tell her. The following day I opened my apple box only to find it was not the apple that I ordered. I was so disappointed. It was a pecan apple. I called the customer service line and explained the situation to someone who said she only handles business orders and then asked me if I had the receipt and also asked if the apple was eaten. I did not have the receipt (but again I paid with a cc so they should be able to see my charge) and yes, my spouse ended up eating the apple (did the clerk want me to throw it out?). She then stated she would pass my concern on to the store and look for my cc purchase and that she would get back to me. This never happened and I was completely ghosted. Will not go back!!! Considering you charge $11 per apple, you should treat your customers like gold!! read more

Willy Wonka ain't got game! Seriously people, if you haven't been to the nationally famous Amy's Candy Kitchen you're doing yourself a disservice. This chocolate version of heaven will make any non-chocolate lover second guess their reason for shunning the cocoa bean. Featured on NBC and visited by Al Roker himself, this small factory has caught the attention of people beyond the state line for its incredible, artistic, and creative versions of carmel apples. The store windows are lined with a hundred or so of various carmel, chocolate covered apples with the wildest toppings ever. From the all familiar peanut topped apple to those covered in your favorite sugar cereal, you won't walk out of this place without taking one with you. And, if you do shame on you! They have plenty of gift ideas and glass cases that are stocked with chocolate covered bacon, turtles, truffles.... I could go on and on. The kids can even watch them work via the mirror atop the marble station. Oh, and the fudge.... If you never had a reason to venture to a charming north shore town, now you do. Go. You won't be disappointed. read more

Caramel Apples. You cannot resist them. You should not even try. Amy's makes the best caramel apples I've ever had. They start with nice, tart Granny Smith apples and apply a thick layer of homemade buttery caramel, and then roll that in other delicious stuff. Think Oreos, chocolate chips, M&M's, etc. My personal favorite is the Reese's Pieces version - apples, caramel, peanut butter....mmmm.... Amy's also has delicious truffles, caramels, chocolate dipped pretzel rods and more. I can't leave without one of those amazing apples, though. read more

This is a cute downtown chocolate shop for anyone searching for a fancy treat. It smells divine. They are known for their amazing caramel apples and do not disappoint! First, when you stand in the doorway, there is a blower blowing out the most wonderful caramel smell ever. The windows are filled with more caramel apples than you can imagine. We go for the chocolates--esepecially the turtles--magnificent. Wonderful! read more

You will never eat a more perfect apple than at Amy's. First, you are idly strolling the streets of downtown Cedarburg. Suddenly you are sidetracked by what can only be described as "The Mecca of Carmel Apples" towering before you. You are in its tractor beam and it is pulling you in. Do you know why? Because there are Caramel Apples with Gummy Worms and Dirt Cake topping, Cashews, Chocolate and Chili Powder, White Chocolate and Apple Pie Spice, Black Forest, the list goes on and on. You have to see it to understand. That old adage: You're like a kid in a candy shop - it's a literal statement here. You will most likely ping pong between the racks of apples in the front window, tissue in hand, trying to whittle down your apple choice. Don't sweat it babe, you can't go wrong. Each apple is huge in its diameter, they are heavy and dense Granny Smith's and when you cut into them you will find they are in pristine condition with nary a blemish. How they pick such magnificent apples is a mystery to me. Surrounding the luscious apple is a very generous layer of sweet, buttery, rich caramel and if you went for one of the topped apples, another layer of cookies, nuts, spices, candies, etc. Picking up the apples sometimes requires a backhoe due to their heft. One is certainly enough for two people to share, although sharing , eh, its overrated..... When finally, you pick your apple, you bring it to the checkout counter, and they box it up for you in a perfectly cute bronze, cube. It's so exciting, getting that little cube, I feel like I am getting a birthday present or something. I need to warn you though, most people on their way up to the counter with their apple in hand will no doubt get distracted by the chocolates that flank the walls and grace the glass counter cases. Luckily, I am a mutant who loathes chocolate and therefore am impervious, however I've seen my fair share of patrons unable to resist the chocolate temptations. The staff is always nice, and jovial. Although, I suspect they have a contact high being surrounded by all that sugar. I like to imagine them swirling around the kitchen like magical pixies making all the candies and apples with a dusting of love and a spoonful of sugar. Shhh, shhhh, shhhh....don't ruin this little break with reality. If an apple a day keeps the doctor away a diet of Amy's apples should make me the healthiest woman alive right? read more

When I went there Saturday I knew it was going to be good because it was the busiest store in the historical downtown area. There were loads of people inside and there was even a line out the door. I usually check out places on Yelp first but since I ran out of data minutes I just relied on my gut instinct. The first thing that caught my eye was the generous sample plate, from which I chose a generous piece of their Butterfinger taffy apple. Their taffy apples were not only good but great, I've never tried one like this before. I've been nibbling on it now for five days savoring every little bite. I don't know if it's the granny smith apples they use, or the creamy smooth Belgium chocolate, or the Butterfinger's all mixed together, I just know they taste great and it's reason enough to visit Cedarburg. read more

This place has really gone down hill in the last few years. The caramel consistency is softer and not as sweet. It's like caramel sauce. The apple itself has been hit or miss as far as flavor and the customer service is lacking when they make a mistake with your purchase. The apples are over priced too. I think they have a new owner because it's just not the same. Sadly I do not recommend this place anymore. read more

It's located on Cedarburgs busiest street so be prepared to walk if street parking isn't available up Close. The shop is very small, but it's well laid out and organized. The shop sells other hand crafted candies and chocolate. When you check out you can see them making the candies behind The register area. A neat experience for young and old alike.
