We compromised on getting a mix of cheese and caramel which was wonderfully satisfying. We took our treat to the harbor, found a bench to relax and enjoy, and savored. Another nice touch here was the serve yourself movie theater popcorn stand where you could load on toppings and butter sauce to your heart's content. What a fun place to enjoy all things popcorn!

We were very pleased to see it was comparable to the store in our home town, only better! The owner did a great job renovating the old building and it has a very welcoming feel the minute you step inside. There is a fine selection of flavors to choose from in various sizes, and very reasonably priced. We purchased 3 flavors: Butterscotch, Cinnamon, and Pickle Pop. All 3 are amazing, but the Cinnamon - oh my gosh! Sooooo good! I had a hard time putting it down! The really neat thing is that there is a sample cart with all the flavors so you can try before you buy - a major bonus and great idea. I can not wait to go back and try more flavors!

There is Maltodextrin in Movie Theater Butter, popcorn. Some evidence also shows that maltodextrin can change gut bacteria. This is important to note because research has shown that gut bacteria play an important role in our health. One study found that maltodextrin can increase the number of "bad" bacteria and decrease the number of "good" bacteria in the gut. This leads to a weakened immune system and increased risk of disease. For example, maltodextrin increases the growth of E. Coli bacteria, which may have a role in causing Crohn's disease This means if you're at risk for Crohn's disease or other gastrointestinal problems, you may want to limit maltodextrin in your diet. They came ready for business! They had a variety of products and could accept any version of payment your pajama clad self offered -- including Google pay! I had a good time laughing and exchanging jibs about Garrett's popcorn in my childhood hometown -- Chicago! I was told to try the "Chicago" label from this shop. I warily agreed and promised to write what I discovered! First, let me say! Garrett's is my all time FAVORITE!! I am one of those people who would stand in the line that wraps around the block for hours in the sub zero weather just to buy a bag of the cheesy caramel mix! I have to report, with a heavy heart ... I will not be driving to Chicago for Garrett's again! As the owner promised, this popcorn is wonderful! It was WI cheesy and the caramel made me feel all Christmasy sweet and buttery inside (and I don't celebrate Christmas)!
