    Bon Bons

My husband and I stopped out after date night for some gelato and chocolate. We arrived ten minutes before closing which made us hesitate, but staff was welcoming regardless. The shop is right off of 43 and has plenty of parking. Employees were very friendly and helped walk us through all of the confections. Everything is in little glass cases displaying the gorgeous way their candy is decorated. We got a box of Bon Bons, Little Bit of Everything bar, Macaroons, a pint of Caramel Apple Gelato, and a scoop of Cookies'n Cream in a cone. The Bon Bons had a flavor guide included which was appreciated! My favorite was the salted caramel, always a classic. The everything bar was excellent but too many flavors going on for my taste. The macaroons are some of the best in the area! Perfectly chewy meringue with a creamy center. The gelato was the perfect consistency and held up nicely on the twenty minute drive home. I highly recommend a stop next time you have a sweet tooth!

While Nothing Bundt Cakes has lots of locations, each one is locally owned and has their own vibe. The great thing about this location is the dedication the staff have to their delicious products. And the variety is endless, which makes the choices hard, but never wrong. I was able to meet the owners and enjoy their treats over the holidays, and both were wonderful! Why make visiting hard when you can always grab a full cake or individual-sized treats ready-made for you? I love the variety I can choose from. And those flavors can change regularly which makes return visits so fun; I never know what I will find when I shop! Good quality ingredients really do make a difference. Don't waste your money on junk food. You can custom make cakes here and also make sure you get yourself a treat just because you can!

Date of visit: June 15, 2025…read more I've really only ever had a Nothing Bundt Cake at their pop ups at Mayfair Mall so when I needed to get a dessert for a family gathering, I decided to give them a whirl. Using their website for ordering pickup in advance was a bit of a frustrating experience, with it not acknowledging the selected bakery and having to restart the entire order (though I am not faulting this location for the franchise's technology failures). I finally was able to confirm a pickup time and place and made our way there at that time. There was no one in the bakery when we arrived, including staff, though someone did come out shortly after and I gave them my name for the order. They reappeared quickly and handed me my bag--for the price of these desserts, I was expecting a little nicer presentation than a thin paper bag with a Nothing Bundt Cakes sticker securing the bag. Also absent were any kind of instructions; are these to be kept refrigerated, or should they be brought to room temperature? I asked and received the answer, but what if I hadn't thought to ask? As far as taste is concerned, they were good little cakes, maybe a touch small for the price and the lack of presentation. They often have BOGO deals and I might take that approach if I decide to get these again in the future.

And I am batsh*t crazy about them: If you have yet to have the pleasure, run, don't walk to Beans and grab yourself a bag. The seasoning has this indescribable uh... lemony tang, and the chips are sturdy enough to handle the thickest salsa or dip. Thing is though, they're delicious enough to stand on their own. When I bring these back to NYC, I gently nestle the bag into my carry-on luggage, like the finest china, to prevent crushing. On this last trip, I found myself musing to hubby, "I wish I could find a way to export these to Brooklyn!" I also noticed a new-to-me-at-least flavor, Chipotle Sour Cream. I regret not getting these too. Other than this, the market is fun to poke around in. This time around, I spotted Loma Linda brand canned meat alternative products, which triggered flashbacks of my former vegetarian days. And I dug the oven mitts with smart a** sayings on them, among other things. Bottom line: Don't even think of leaving here without a bag of El Rey's Lemon Tostaditas Chips. Just know you'll never be able to go back to eating Doritos again.

Made it back to Foxtown for the first time in awhile. Took our family, and met another family there…read morea well. With having four kids in tow, we requested the room in back where all of the arcade games are, to give the littles space to move around without disrupting others. It's definitely a little quieter up there, with a fair bit less ambiance, but that was fine with us. Service was on the slower end, but still a friendly guy. We first ordered some cheese curds for the table and damn are those good here. Big in size, too. A few brews were had, along with a margarita for me. Very tasty. We then ordered chicken tenders from the kids for our boys to split, and I went with brisket tacos. Tacos are on the pricey side, but certainly delicious. Overall a place we'll continue to return to!

I am absolutely FURIOUS about our experience at Foxtown Brewing…read more This place was a COMPLETE DISASTER from the second we sat down. Our drinks were WRONG. The kitty cocktail didn't even have cherries in it -- how hard is it to put TWO CHERRIES in a glass? And the root beer tasted straight-up disgusting. Flat, weird, just BAD. That was the first sign this whole thing was going to be a mess. But here's the part that really makes my blood boil: WE WAITED ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD. AN HOUR. AND. FIFTEEN. MINUTES. And it NEVER CAME. Not once did anyone give us a real explanation. No urgency. No apology that meant anything. Just nothing. We were sitting there starving while tables around us were getting served. After wasting over an hour of our lives, we finally said screw this and canceled our order. We walked out hungry and beyond irritated. And you know what? We went to a FAST FOOD place afterward and it was FASTER, BETTER, and actually COMPETENT. That's honestly embarrassing for a place that's supposed to be a legit restaurant. Completely unacceptable. Ridiculous service. A total waste of time and money. I am beyond disappointed -- I'm pissed. Do better.
