I attended one of the autumn wine, cheese, and chocolate tastings and thought the place was awesome. Up at the counter there were SEVERAL delicious truffles to choose from that I think will fit anyone's palette and preference. And the class itself was so fun and yummy. It's a small atmosphere and it creates an intimate experience. We stopped by Indulgence Chocolatiers on a double date and were lucky enough to acquire a couple of their complimentary wine and chocolate flights. Looking for a new chocolate shop after my go-to chocolatier in North Shore retired. I tried 10 different flavors in their assortment package ranging from Yuzu Lemon, Dark Chocolate, Bourbon and peanut butter, etc. I didn't really enjoy it as it tasted like Reese's or Canterbury farms. The dark chocolate was more milky than it should be. If you're a chocolate snob, then this spot is not for you. read more

I went to Indulgence Chocolatiers in Walker's Point with three of my girlfriends for a wine and chocolate pairing. I had the white wine pairing, two of my friends tried the red pairing, and another friend did the cheese and chocolate pairing option. We were all very pleased with the pairings and how thoughtfully put together they were.. My favorite pairing was the Chardonnay with the Lemon Curd Crème Brûlée Truffle. Randomly stumbled into this spot one night and was so pleasantly surprised! We were actually on our way to get ice cream at the shop next door but saw all the sweets along the walls and decided to stop in. We were helped by Gage and had a blast! We did the wine flight and chocolate pairing. Gage was so patient and helped us through some of the wine options. I really enjoyed the chocolates that each glass was paired with. Since it's International Women's Day, I'll post an update about my favorite Woman-owned business in Milwaukee. As you can tell by the number of photos I've posted, I shop here A LOT, as well as attend several of their chocolate pairing classes each year, and I'll stop in from time to time to enjoy the pairing bar menu at the Walkers Point and Brookfield locations. I love chocolate, and Indulgence Chocolatiers is my go-to chocolate supplier. Do I try other local chocolate shops? Of course, but that's how I know this one is still the best IMHO. I pretty much buy every seasonal and holiday truffle collection, including the Spring 2024 truffle collection that I stopped in to buy today. The Cereal Milk truffle is brilliant in the Spring 2024 collection is brilliant! It's one of my all-time favorites, along with the Passion Fruit Ginger Caramel from Valentine's Day, and the Cereal Milk is also in the pairing bar menu. My favorite chocolate bar is still their S'Mores Bar, with the Mikwaukee Chocolate Bar being a close second with popular MKE landmarks featured on the bar itself! This is the woman-owned business I patronize the most, and while I am a frequent customer of MANY local women-owned businesses, I'd say I crossed over to being an addict for this business. It started off a bit bumpy as our friends had called for reservations and was told she didn't need them but when we arrived they were hosting a larger event- they did make room for us in the back room behind the counter. Some friends and I recently purchased kits for a virtual Harry Potter themed cocktail and chocolate pairing event. It was easy to secure the kits and give payment over the phone and then I picked the kits up the day of the event. The kit for two came with four pairs of cocktails in sealed pouches and four pairs of chocolates. I did enjoy all of the chocolates and thought the size of each was generous. The cocktail portions were generous but all of them were VERY booze-forward. We found we needed to not only sip very slowly but cut one or two of them with flavored seltzer we had on hand. I would prefer the cocktails to be a little more balanced because the flavor profiles sounded fantastic, they just didn't always come through. I loved the convenience of this whole experience, especially being something we can enjoy at home with friends. I've now done two different pairing classes at Indulgence and haven't regretted one single moment! I did the wine, chocolate, and cheese pairing at the Brookfield location during Mother's Day weekend, and then did the Rosè wine, cheese, and chocolate pairing on a weekday evening at the Walker's point location. (Yes, I have a thing for cheese and chocolate, but who doesn't?!) Both pairings were great! I was able to sample some cheese and chocolate that I honestly probably would never have chosen myself just to have, but I can honestly say that I didn't strongly dislike anything. Of course there were some cheeses or chocolates that weren't top of my list, but truly all of the pairings went so well together that I was able to truly enjoy everything that was presented to us, because it all just worked so well. I can't wait to try as many of their pairing classes as possible. Plus, you can always drop into their wine bar and select on if the their pairings off the list! Such a fun place! The staff was so helpful and friendly and shared all kinds of interesting info. We tried the red wine and chocolate flight. It was interesting to see how the flavors played off each other based on the different wine types and chocolate ingredients. We went after work on a Tuesday and it was empty so we sat right down. My valentine took me to this store to pick out truffles and I was so blown away by how many flavors they had! They blend in unique flavors masterfully in one piece of truffle. I was looking for a date idea and stumbled upon the pairing classes here! I thought they seemed a little expensive but worth a shot since we're big chocolate fans and had already tried some of their delicious bars so knew they were good. The location is pretty small but they certainly fill up for classes! Ours was novel cocktail themed and although the cocktails were small I was actually pleasantly surprised that they were relatively strong! There was a lot of time between pairings which made it a great date night with lots of time to talk. It was perfect for us to get out of our usual routine and do something a little bit special. We were so sold at the end that we splurged on some chocolate to bring home as well. Indulgence is a great little spot in Walker's Point (really it is little but remember also great). There are a couple of tables to sit and a few more seats at the bar, but no the right place for a large sized group. A party of 2 is perfect, 4 is also doable, but more than that might get tricky. You can always stop here for some chocolates, to go, as well! Unique pairings are featured: chocolate/wine, chocolate/beer, chocolate/cocktails, chocolate/cheese - yep! I've always enjoyed my time coming here no matter what the event or if coming off the street as I did most recently. I do believe they take reservations, obviously needed for the pairing events, but one night just walking in, I head another group mention having a reservation. This is a small business owned by a young, local couple with a family. You couldn't support something better! And the chocolates are pretty darn good, too. read more

I am always so impressed with the quality and creatively of the chocolates from Indulgence. Did a virtual wine pairing class during #quarantineseason which was so fun! It cost $50 and included enough wine/chocolate for 4 people (or for my husband and I... plus leftovers ). The indulgence owner streamed a Facebook live video for the class which was very informative and fun. Pick-up of my wine/chocolate was very safe and contact-free. I called the shop when I arrived, they placed my already paid for items on the counter, and unlocked/opened the door. I didn't have to touch anything! Each class is about $30 and you usually get 4 to 5 pairings. The classes are great to do with a group of friends or a double date. The owner/founder of Indulgence Chocolatiers is also the one leading the classes. It's very inspiring to see a young woman like myself so passionate and successful! The chocolates themselves are so decadent and unique. They are often flavored with unique herbs and spices like lavender or curry. The individual chocolates are definitely worth the splurge. If you have not signed up for one of their chocolate pairing tasting classes, do it. You are missing out. I know $30 may seem like a good chunk of change to spend on 5 chocolate pairings but it is worth it. We attended the dark beers, cheese and chocolate pairing. Receiving the instructions on how to taste was so appreciated. Smell your beer, take a few sips, bite of cheese, beer, cheese, beer, chocolate, beer and onward. With each pairing I found myself saying this is my favorite. The staff did such a good job with pairings. At the end of the night I wanted everything and found myself googling how to make orange peels because the chocolate orange peel was so delicious. If you can walk out of this place without buying any chocolate for the road, you are a stronger person than me. My willpower is pretty much zilch when I see the words dark chocolate + sea salt. Three of us went in together on the 3 for $18 deal with the candy bars. I also highly recommend the chocolate s'more bar. The candy bar has marshmallow AND graham cracker IN IT! Soooo good! Yesterday was my first trip to the Indulgence retail store/tasting bar/place where I will get even fatter. I've had their product before (Sendiks and a few other places in Tosa carry it) but the retail location takes it to the next level. The smell when you walk in...amazing. The display areas are gorgeous - bars are along one wall and are organized by cacao content - the darkest ones are on top and the white chocolate is on the bottom. As it should be. Bars are $6 each or you can get 3 for $17. I do wish they had tasting notes for some of the flavors apart from the brief descriptions on the labels - like what it might pair with or something. That said, the person working during my visit was helpful, really knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me some good suggestions for gifts and did a good description of a specialty flavor (Golden Harvest aka sweet corn & sage. Really looking forward to trying that one out!). I couldn't resist snagging a truffle (or two) for myself - the Sticky Toffee Pudding one was great but the Caramel Grey Salt....should be illegal. In fact, you should not eat any of the truffles so that there are more for me. In terms of price point, sure - it's more than a Hershey bar. But in the context of Vosges (a Chicago producer) or something like Teuscher (from Switzerland) they are a bargain. Also, Indulgence is opening a location with Purple Door in Tosa soon which makes me both happy and sad. Happy because those caramel truffles will be so close and sad because those truffles will be so close. I have no willpower, people - none. read more

What a fabulous way to end a Friday evening! We drove by on the off chance Indulgence might be still open and it was!! It is Foodie Week in Walker's Point, so there were two special menus. The wine/chocolate flight pairing was out of this world, chocolates such as raspberry mascarpone, honey goat cheese, and plum salt partnered with whites and reds. The SO ordered the beer and chocolate pairing, which included Wisconsin beers and chocolates such as candied ginger, and salted toffee. We had a great time at Indulgence on Saturday. I had been here once before to enjoy a pairing "class" with several ladies, and I couldn't wait to come back and show Joe that chocolate is so much more than Hershey's. I'd say we got here around 1:30 and while there were a few people at the "bar" and milling between the tables, we were able to walk right up and sit down. The two girls working were friendly and greeted us right away. I wanted to do a wine pairing, and Joe did the beer pairing. I couldn't decide between red and white so I mix 'n' matched two whites and a red. I loved the attention to detail that the girls took not only in their product, but the beer/wine that they paired it with. They knew all the undertones and pointed out notes of flavors I otherwise would not have noticed. Joe found a new appreciation for Polish Moon once he learned the background of it too. Chocolate snobbery suits me. It's the perfect thing to be a know-it-all about, and every large metropolitan/tourist area has good chocolate to be found. It gives me something to pursue. Besides, by being a chocolate snob, things like bowls of M&M's sitting on desks at work (how unsanitary!) do not tempt me. That has to be good for my figure, no? I've had Indulgence chocolate a number of times, and I already knew it was dandy. This time, we went to their tasting room. There's a wall of packaged chocolate bars and bags and cocoa and other treats and lots of chocolate love. They seem to typically have at least one type out for sampling on a table in the middle. There's a case of divine looking truffles. And then, there's a wine bar. Yes, chocolate and wine and nothing else. Indeed, it's pulling at my vices. If it seemed appropriate to wear sweat pants here, I might not ever leave. The chocolate is always fantastic. I had a fancy seasonal truffle from the case - something about Crispin cider in a little shell of delectable chocolate with a fashionable color swirl on top - and it put a stupid grin on my face. I'm sure the wine is good because if they are serving bad wine, they are certainly missing the point. I'll come back another time and confirm. The chocolate is not cheap, but what's that saying...you get what you pay for. If you like chocolate at all you should probably come here. If you like chocolate AND wine, you need to make plans to go this weekend. If you like neither, you should still come and buy a friend (or me!) a lovely chocolatey gift. This was our first stop for my bachelorette party, and we all loved it! The ladies working there were super accommodating with all of our different requests (there were 8 of us) and very informative on everything that they were serving. I loved being able to sample my cheese and chocolate together, alongside a glass of wine, of course! Their chocolate flavors are creative yet well thought out. The brie cheese I tried was spectacular! It was so creamy and buttery. I think there was a banana/coconut/caramel chocolate combination of some sort which was delicious. This shop was a bit difficult for us to find since it doesn't have a big sign but we finally did. The lady working was really sweet and we had a good conversation with her. Since we were only in the area for the day she gave us suggestions on what to do and see. We ended up getting 3 truffles. Espresso, peanut butter, and dark chocolate sea salt. The price I think is very fair: $2 per truffle and honestly it's the common price I've seen around the country. (trust me you can find much more expensive!) Taste wise though I was slightly let down. The chocolate was slightly above standard but I think they lacked their secondary flavor. Meaning the peanut butter truffle barely tasted like peanut butter. In fact if it didn't have a peanut on top of it I would never have known it was peanut butter. The same goes for the other two. The espresso was rich but until you ate the bean you didn't get a full flavor and the sea salt was only salted on top (from what I found). Maybe this is the intention to have such a subtle flavor, I just wish it was more "in your face". My husband liked them although we both agreed the sea salt one was way too sweet on the inside. If I was in the area again I'd stop by and try some of the other more "interesting" looking flavors. They also sell chocolate bars and what not aside from the truffles. read more
