Vegan, gluten free, and soy free- I couldn't believe it! Tabal chocolate is organically grown, gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, and made from bean to bar in small batches using stone grinders. Made in Wauwatosa, WI. I loved the blood orange and cherry chocolates; definitely a one-of-a-kind chocolate experience!

Highly recommend checking out this local bean to bar chocolate maker!!! They are incredibly passionate about creating a quality product and working with farmers in Southamd central America to empower them for success. I took their 101 class with a few others and we all had so much fun, it was so cool that we could take 4 bars home that we made!

This place smells heavenly as soon as you walk in! The staff is super friendly and also very knowledgeable. They specialize in dark chocolate and really celebrating the cacao bean itself! They have big bags of cacao beans in the shop and also grinders to make the chocolate itself! Huckleberry dark chocolate was delicious. I also really like the Cinnamon Quinoa bar- it's like a dark rice krispies!!

A chocolatiers delight! This isn't gummy American "chocolate" it's a cozy welcoming shop with friendly service and a selection of known origin chocolates products with grownup flavors. From brewable cacao to nibs to dark and mid chocolates for baking, eating and sipping as tea or coffee and yes even hot cocoa, these are perfect for the discerning chocolate fan. If you want an instant fix there's gelato and drinks available.

Disposable cups even when drinking in.

Good choice for gifts, the chocolates are expensive but the prices are valid for the high quality. Maybe the best coffee mocha I've ever had, the barista is good and very pleasant. It's a nice place to sit and relax with an espresso drink. The one thing I don't like is that like all other coffee places they only serve in disposable cups with plastic lids. The coffee and ambiance are two thirds of the café experience, the important missing third is appropriate demi-tasse or espresso cups and saucers.

Tabal Chocolate is a classy little Chocolate store where all your dark chocolate dreams come true. I ordered the blood orange dark chocolate and it was delicious. Citrus flavors cuts down the bitterness of dark chocolate, rendering a smooth, fresh mouth feel. Tabal's commitment to using responsibly and sustainably grown cacao is commendable. I also learned that they use wholesome ingredients such as whole vanilla bean, pure cane sugar and cacao butter and that is awesome know that a local business makes clean, sustainable products. Looking forward to getting more chocolate in the near future. I highly recommend this business for all your chocolate cravings.

A secret gem in downtown Wauwatosa that I never knew about until I patronized a restaurant a few doors down. They have a good selection to pick from to make the cutest gift boxes for any chocolate lover that you may know. Parking can be a hassle depending when you come to visit

I was given three 70% Craft Dark Chocolate bars from Ali B the MKE Yelper back on 12Oct18 upon our first meeting in Seattle. He is very proud and passionate about all things Wisconsin. These were carefully stored at ambient temperature and shielded from light for a little over five months. On a rare Sunday at work (3/24/19), I decided to check these out, eating four squares from each bean to bar variety. Two each, pause, another two. All had perfect snap, no bloom, and lovely shine. Bolivia Alto Beni, batch 709, smooth and assertive, slight berry finish Dominican Oko Caribe, batch 673, milder, slight grassy finish Peru San Martin De Pangoa, batch N/A, more texture, middle of the three, slight peppery finish *Note: very subjective, the above were based solely on my palate sitting in front of a computer screen at my desk. No fancy controlled environments. Just a dark chocolate fan who happens to work as a QC microbiologist. I like the regions selected, but of the three the Bolivia Alto Beni edged out the other two. Thank you Ali B and Dan Bieser, Chocolate Maker at Tabal Chocolate. I truly appreciate the heart, soul, and effort to create these quality crafted chocolate bars. I had the salted caramel hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. It was good, however, I am not vegan so I am comparing this type of drink with a non-vegan drink, in which case this drink was good but I still prefer a traditional hot chocolate mocha with non-vegan ingredients. The lady making my drink was very sweet but she took a long time to make the drink. If you are looking for a quick place to buy chocolate or get a vegan beverage then this place is not for you; however, if you have time then you may enjoy this place more than me, as I was in a rush and just wanted to stop in and try something new. I'm glad I got the chance, however I am not sure I would stop by again.

Their chocolates are so darn good here. They are the only chocolatier in Milwaukee and make all their chocolates in house from beans sourced from all over the world. You can sample the many delicious chocolates they make--my favorite is the Blueberry Rooibos. Highly recommend visiting and picking up their homemade treats.

The gelato is very good. They don't have a large variety of options and the chocolate is very bitter. Overall, very good.

Been enjoying these chocolates for some time now…read more Came to a cocktails and chocolate class and cannot express how much you should sign up and go. We had a group of 10- and had such a nice evening. Someone needs to be designated driver- the cocktails were outstanding and the chocolate pairings were so complimentary. The owner was our host and she was so impressive. Loved every minute of our night. We will be back for more classes. And don't forget the chocolate. The cherry cordial probably was our favorite of the night. Bought a box- will not be sharing them at all.

We were a group of 13 and we were excited to get the night started here with a tasting. The wine was fantastic, I discovered some new favorite cheeses as well, and the chocolate was delicate, beautiful, and melted in your mouth. If you have not done tasting here you really should give it a try. It would make for the perfect date night, even. My favorite wine was 2018 Bodegas Nekas El Chaparrall Garnacha, my choice for cheese is Luna (Apline/Gouda Blend from WI), and the Gray Salt Caramel Truffle won my vote for best chocolate. The staff takes you through each grouping prior to your tasting providing background information as well as why the 3 items pair well together. I would have given a 5 star rating, but towards the end of our visit we waited for a significant amount of time before getting information on the 3rd pairing because another party had shown up. With only a staff of 2, they were not able to get that party started and come back to us without many of us wondering what was taking so long.
