This is my favorite first time market of all times! The produce, cheese, shellfish our second to none! All is great deals and variety of freshness. I love the app which you can clip coupons too! The only thing that's different is the deli doesn't like you to wait for your sliced items? I don't get that part. Fresh Thyme has become my go for supplements. And, when I'm stopping in for supplements, I inevitably find something else to pick up while I'm in as well. So, while it's not my go to for a full grocery shopping experience. For what I need them for, they're great! They have a wide variety of supplements and many that are organic as well as vegan. I get my multi, Vitamin C, and omega 3 supplements here. The prices are reasonable for high quality supplements. And, when I've had questions--I was able to get help from a very knowledgable staff member. I've also purchased produce here which was wonderful, fresh, and organic. They have many clean beauty products and my family enjoys hand soap that I've purchased here. They have plenty of self checkout stations so it's pretty easy to get in, find what you need, and get out in a blink. Get to it! read more

I (also) need to update my previews reviews based on my experience of the last year and a half: great produce, but terrible customer service. I was a regular at this store and I had several unpleasant experiences: from being scolded for not properly using the self checkout and needing somebody's assistance, to suddenly not being able to use my rewards number and having the cashier saying that I wouldn't be getting the special deals of the day/week because of that. It was finally clear to me that they don't really care about their (regular) customers. I'm never shopping here again. read more

I unfortunately need to update my previously stellar review to document a concerning incident that happened a few weeks ago. I stopped at Fresh Thyme because I saw that Salmon sides was on sale. When I arrived at the store, I found that, to my surprise, the cost was even lower than advertised. I asked the guy behind the counter to give me a whole box of Salmon from his refrigerator in the back (about 6 or 7 Salmon sides). I was planning on freezing several for later use. With a cost of only $3.99/Lb, I felt I had hit the Salmon jackpot. When he handed me a box, I opened it and I looked at the contents closely. Each sealed Salmon package in the box seemed slimy with more liquid than normal and the flesh had separated. On further inspection, I found the "use by" (not the best by) date was 3 days prior. I mentioned this to the employee and after checking, was told that all of the Salmon in their storage had the same "use by" date. Needless to say I handed back the box and advised him to dispose of it and all other expired Salmon. While consuming non perishable, shelf-stable foods that have passed their "use by" date might affect taste or texture, the USDA recommends not eating Salmon past it's use by date due to the risk of food poisoning including the risk of Scombroid or Salmonella poisoning, potentially life-threatening illnesses for those immunocompromised persons. I feel the store should have disposed of the clearly expired Salmon and not have attempted to sell it. Other customers might not have looked at the expiration date as I did. read more

I can get Zevia's diet pop (soda for the Southeners :-) here for a good price. They have lots of flavors. They also have a lot of vegan items as well. I was also able to find pataya and star fruit here too. As if the greater Milwaukee area isn't over saturated with grocery stores here comes Fresh Thyme Farmers Market jumping into the mix located in Brookfield Wi. It's new so it had a nice amount of traffic but nothing like Meijers the complete mad house so you could actually move around and get through the check out with ease. The first thing I noticed was the fresh hot sandwich and pizza bar so you could have a warm lunch while you shop, there is pre made hot pizza for slices or a whole fresh subway style make your own if you like and pre made take and bake. The place kind of has a Trader Joe's feel with all natural, organic etc on a lot of the items. There is a nice bulk section with just about everything you can think of from fresh grains to chocolate candy. Fresh salads and sushi are pre made and ready to go but if you must there is a super salad bar where you can go wild. If fresh olives are your thing then there is a nice olive bar that looked pretty good, the store is a lot to take in on a first visit. There is a probiotics/health section in the corner of the store, I didn't check that out because that is foreign to me. The fresh deli, meat and sea food counters are not super big but it should satisfy most people while the fruits and vegys section was a decent size. There is a decent little liquor department and all the other items and isles that any average grocery store would have. There is American style Kobe beef, Bison, Elk, Venison, Wild Boar and Buffalo meats with grass feed meats also. There is a juice bar in the center of the store also which was cool. One thing I didn't like was a lot of the sale items were gone, about half of what I planed to get and no one was restocking them and I got there at 3:30 in the afternoon. Overall I liked the new store and what they have to offer so I can't wait to try some of the exotic meats, not really exotic because you just don't see them at like a Pick N Save but it was a nice variety I must say. This is defiantly a destination store and I really like the whole concept so I will be back. read more

I'm glad a listened to my friend who advised me to take advantage of Fresh Thyme Crab Leg Sale. I was able to do a decent Crab Boil for my great-nephews Birthday Dinner. The Snow Crab was meaty and sweet. I also purchased some Shrimp that had been deveined and frozen for a great price. I bought a pack of assorted small Potato Gems. It was all so delicious and perfect for a filling meal. The sale price made this an affordable and extravagant meal all at the same time. My great nephews wanted to know if I could make them a Crab Boil. It was a surprising request as they are only 6 & 8 years old. I've never done it for them before but they were very specific. They wanted Mussels & a Sauce for it. Needless to say I delivered and they were quite pleased. I also purchased a few other items for home. It is called Fresh Thyme and I found their fruit & vegetables to be reasonably priced but the word Fresh has to be observed. You should use them soon after purchase. Started in 2012, the store increased gradually its outlets to many locations. It has many different departments in its stores featuring a variety of both organic and conventional products having a big selection for all including gluten-free options. It also has multiple aisles for many specialty items including vitamins and supplements. A very well-stocked shop, it offers great deals weekly. Then we had two options with Pic N Sav. Now, we have 10 not counting Sam's, Costco or Target, Walmart. all offering a different value proposition. Only one option gives me everything I am looking for but it is one of the furthest for me to drive to...but I am a fan and love the store. So what do I value with Fresh Thymes? If you combined Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, the result would be something that resembles a Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. According to their CEO, "The concept behind Fresh Thyme is reaching out and bringing the natural organic lifestyle to the masses, and not making it this huge national chain that is really intimidating to shop at and really expensive," and I think they hit it on the head and nailed it with their mission. Open concept and as soon as you walk in large spaces and aisles and you can see across the store because their shelves aren't stacked to 10 feet up with product or boxes. I love the organic and natural selections they provide. I like their value and pricing. I like their service and friendly staff. We actually can get everything here and compared to stores like Good Harvest or The Fresh Market we can save on average 20-25% on our weekly grocery budget. I love that they have a section just for kids to encourage them to eat and make healthy choices. This section provides kids with a free healthy snack while you shop. Only thing is they don't have a large selection of wines, but if anything they are located right next to Total Wines & More. In all, I like them over the larger chains in the area for their specialty items, butcher and produce. They are a great value and I will drive the distance to shop here. I've heard Fresh Thyme described as "Whole Foods + Trader Joe's had a baby" and that's pretty much dead on. Like Whole Foods, the store smells faintly of patchouli, there's tons of fresh grab and go choices, a good sized salad and hot bar and full service deli and meat areas. On the Trader Joe's side, the prices are "good" (not TJ cheap but not WF crazy) and the staff seems to be really friendly. I was impressed with the niceness of the produce and amount of grab and go options. As a bonus, there's a good sized natural care section and again, prices aren't as nuts as WF. Fresh Thyme seems to be a good fit for when a person wants a more natural food experience with full grocery services (deli, bakery) but is rightly horrified by the price tags at Whole Foods. Know that this location is right next to Total Wine and both places are busy so the parking lot is kind of a clusterfuck. Once you find a spot, it's super convenient to pop into both and grab the makings for a nice picnic or dinner. read more

I enjoy the store, layout and selection now for the part I don't enjoy....the staff. Is it that hard to train employee's? Management needs to realize There's a lot of choices in the market and customer service should be a priority. The deli staff always seems to be moving at one speed EXTRA SLOW. --------I asked for thin sliced ham, I walked away picked up some rolls and bakery and when I came back the woman still was looking for the ham. Another worker started slicing and after telling her 3 times I want it thin sliced she said I can't slice it any thinner. I told her to forget it. This is the norm for this location, each deli worker is worst then the next. I've been to the other 2 locations in the Falls & Greenfield their service is much better. Meat department is similar to the deli when it comes to customer service, they always seem to be too busy to serve you, in fact one time when I asked for a pound of ground beef I was told to go to the self serve section, I said I only want a pound not a large 2lb pack, this is how lazy these workers are. The other disappointment is the checkers & baggers. ------Can management tell them you don't put fruit & fragile items on the bottom of the bag and heaven items on top. read more

I stopped shopping at Fresh Thyme afew weeks ago because none of the clerks were wearing masks. They were all wearing Tshirts that said "Be an Angel". The clerk even leaned over the credit card machine to talk to me and I had to ask him to back up. I suggested that being and angel means caring about other people and wearing a mask. He said he was vaccinated. I to explained that the numbers were so high in WI and even vaccinated people were getting sick with Omicron and spreading the virus. He called the manager who said their employee policy is no masks are required and I could contact their company. I said their headquarters is in Illinois and the state has a mask mandate!! I did use their survey and asked them to call but they never did. I poked my head in this week and still no masks. Boycotting Fresh Thyme! read more

They have Rump roasts on sale and I go in there and they don't have any. True, it's near the end of the sale period but to my way of thinking, as long as the sale is still on on the sale price is still up on the cooler, they should have them stocked. What a way to run a business. read more

While shopping at this store today a woman not wearing a mask began moving toward me picking out produce. I asked an employee whether they enforced the mask mandate, and his reply was "if they don't want to wear one, there's nothing we can do about it". Then he scurried away from me so fast that he ran over my foot with the dolly they use to stock pallets-worth of groceries. Nice. Listen, I'm a fan of fresh thyme. I really am. Hipster health food markets are bomb. You can buy food that's incredibly unhealthy, yet you feel as though you're slimming your waistline by just being there. As for this specific location. I've been there twice. Once to get flowers (quick in and out). The next go get a sandwich for my son. Yes a sandwich. I make generous assumptions, so I figured we'd be in the store for all of 15-20 minutes TOPS. We stroll in with a little pep in our step. I can see the glow in my son's eyes with all the possible sandwich creations going through his head. We make our way over to the deli and there's about 10 people there, so we decide to do a little shopping. We take a stroll around the store. Grab some protein bars. Chips. Fruit. Tamales. Just a few things that caught my eye. Hitting about the 10 minute mark, we went back to the deli in which there were no more customers waiting. GREAT! I stood there for about 90 seconds until the first employee appeared. She came out from behind counter, cleaned up a sample station and disappeared. So I sat there for another few minutes without seeing an employee. Finally we've hit the 20 minute mark and someone appears. He asks, "Need something?" I said "Yeah, I want to build my own sandwich. He replies "Over there." And points to the wall. If it wasn't for my incredibly laser focused contacts, I would've never seen the miniature clip board with a form to fill out so my sons sandwich could be made. I grabbed a sheet and asked my son what he wanted. "Turkey, lettuce and mayonnaise." He replies. I hand the gentleman the sheet and he says "it'll be a couple minutes." It was not a couple minutes. I watched this gentleman clean a stove, pick up trash, and wash counters. During this time I noticed there was another employee back there. I could see what she was doing, I just knew it wasn't making this damn 3 ingredient sandwich. During this time, not one other customer approached the deli. NOT ONE. Finally as we neared the 40 minute mark this women comes and begins to make his sandwich. It takes her all of 45 seconds. She wraps it, places it behind the counter and walks away. Here I am thinking she'll go above and beyond and ask if it was me who ordered the sandwich. I set my expectations too high. Finally the gentleman comes back from probably washing down some kitchen equipment and hands me the sandwich. I check out. Pay way more for "healthy" food than I should and get back to my car. 50 minutes. If this was the only place I could get the necessary nutrition to survive, I'd starve to death because you'll never see me there again. read more

Martin in the butcher shop was incredibly helpful. Very knowledgeable, knew about the type of meat we were looking for and was very well versed on where they source their meat from. Fresh Tyme in Brookfield is worth coming to purely due to him. We went to the one in the Falls and they were relatively clueless about their meat. Expertise is rare now a days, but Martin is a master of his craft. read more

I like this grocery store. The weekly sales are great, sevice so far has been good. Their produce and fresh meats seem of good quality from what I choose. I like their bulk products sich as nuts and grains.. Their grocery bags are not strong and it seems they dont double bag the plastic bags. Twice I had to pick up food from their parking lot due to a ripped bag. Bring your own bag! I enjoy their salad bar and fresh sandwiches as well. read more

Just bought one of their fresh veggie pizzas. NO instructions on how to bake. Called them up and all they said was try 400degrees for 10 min. and keep checking. So basically keep taking a bite till it is hot all the way through. Earlier in the year had bought jalapeno cheddar focaccia and bread that they baked. With both of them the person just took the jalopeno peppers and chopped them in half including the seeds and stems. I had to toss out. Hopefully they at least had washed them. Most of the store is great just be careful of the deli and baked goods. read more

I'm highly amazed by Fresh Thyme's service, prices and variety of foods. If you are gluten free, this is the place for you! I also LOVE the layout of this store. It's not too big, or too small. It's great if you forget something you need, because you only need to walk a little ways away., instead of way across the store. When you are shopping you don't have to feel like you are too crowded, because the aisles are wide enough!! The produce is always so fresh, and did I mention the great prices! Loved this place when it first opened but lately the produce has not been as spectacular as it was. THEN today we went and the roasts on sale were sold out. If this had been the first time I wouldn't mention it. Then at checkout I couldn't figure out why the total was so high. It turns out that buy one get one yogurt really only meant buy ONE get ONE free. Apparently it only counted towards the first two yogurts. I pretty much like everything about this store, except for one big thing. I take "fresh" as meaning all is fresh including seafood. What they have is mormally farm raised or previously frozen. I am forced to go to Sendiks to get FRESH king salmon, halibut and just about anything else. Every time I walk by the seafood dept.
