When I walked in I was a little surprised because from the name I thought they were just a health food shop with vitamins and herbs. But they are a grocery store. I guess I might liken them to a mini Whole Foods. Plenty of items ... fruits, vegetables, frozen section and much more...Plus the vitamins and herbs. I'll have to get back here again. Items here are above average price .. that might be the only thing that keeps me from coming back. They do have some items here though that are hard to find anywhere else. read more

The clerk asked if I had found everything I needed and I said no. She did not offer to order the item or place me on a call list. So I guess we order online and stop trying to support local business. I love a store with good service that puts health first. The produce is fresh and im glad there is a healthy alternative to get lunch. Now if people (probably just bots actually) are attacking an establishment or shaming them because they think a store should require its patrons to cover their face with a false sense of security then they should also realize that if masks actually prevented transmission then they would wear theirs for protection and not worry about other people. These tactics are going to not age well when all of the actual science shows where masks are useful and where they are harmful. read more

I've been a customer for years. I went into the store today and found the only people wearing masks were the customers! No social distancing signage. No hand sanitizer. No plexiglass. Nothing! It's as if this store thinks they're still back in 2019 or their heads are in the sand. A "health" food store with zero Covid-19 precautions. Beyond absurd. So, if this is how seriously they consider the virus, what were the cleanliness standards and concern for customer well being before? No concern for their older customers. No concern for their associates. Yea, yea - I understand the concept of "freedom" - my Dad was a Veteran like many others. I believe some folks camping on these freedoms have forgotten what sacrifice looks like. Is creating a safe environment for those who may be compromised too much of a sacrifice? Selfish and absurd. I have been a Health Hut customer for a least 6 years. I have been very satisfied & happy shopping there. They take pride in their products & buy from local vendors. I am a big believer in supporting local businesses. Their products are of good quality & the staff is friendly & knowledgeable. I have recently been disappointed, saddened & concerned about how the store is handling the safety of their employees & customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. I recently stopped in to pick up a few items & noticed that none of the employees including management were wearing masks. There are no protective shields at the registers nor have I seen anyone wipe down counters in between customers along with the touch pads. Due to the decision of Health Hut not following safety protocol, I, unfortunately will not be shopping there until safer guidelines are put into place. read more

Giving 2 stars for the products and fair prices; asparagus was best i have seen in years. But i give it no stars for safety of customers. Tuesday early afternoon not one masked person both workers or customers. I know it is one of the most conservative counties in WI where there is downplay of vaccination and personal protection equipment but this was pretty shocking coming from stores on east side where usually half are masked..Hospitals still full of covid patients and it's still spreading.. Worker said masking is a personal preference and i said and that personal preference can lead to illness of others.. read more

So, I'm trying to shift to healthier eating habits and working out to offset the occasional dine out. It seems eating healthy can be more expensive than eating unhealthy, so I spent some time exploring venues known for fresh and healthy foods. Health Hut carries vitamins, soaps, shampoos, and other skin care products, in addition to fresh produce, organic and gluten free items. The prices also appear lower than other stores I've visited. What impressed me most, however, was the store associate who saw me wandering aimlessly and offered her assistance. When I told her the reason for my visit, she must have spent a half hour touring me through the store, making recommendations, and telling me what some of the top selling items were. Granted the store wasn't packed, but there were other customers there, and I certainly was not expecting this level of service. I did purchase a couple of items, and even if I find a lower priced store, I'll still shop at the Brookfield Health Hut. They have coupons and specials on their website and also send them via email, so there is value to be had. read more

I used to like this store. I walked in today and there were three employees at the entrance. No one remotely acknowledged me. Ok, fine. Then I overheard a couple people talking (loudly) about how horrible masks are, how anti-vaccine they are, etc and realized one was an employee. I quickly realized not one single employee was wearing a mask. I literally felt uncomfortable for wearing my mask and couldn't wait to get out. I'm sorry to say I won't be back. You can have your opinions about covid, but I don't appreciate having an employee of a store make me feel like I'm the crazy one (damn me for caring about others during a pandemic). read more

If you want quality ingredients and healthy food this is the place to go! We got the Amish raised Turkeys for Thanksgiving and they were AMAZING! We will never eat regular Turkey again! They also have a Kombucha bar with a variety of flavors - the Door County Cherry is my favorite!!! read more

As a former employee and a frequent shopper at health stores, this place is the best. Even after I left (got a big girl job) I tried going to other places; Woodman's, Whole Foods, Outpost, and they just didn't match up. I feel compelled to write a stellar review so everyone knows the care and knowledge the management puts into this store. 1. All vendors are thoroughly reviewed before they are allowed to stock their product on the shelves. That includes produce which is properly and continually checked before it is stocked. They also support local farmers during the on-season 2. They are always bringing in new foods, supporting new, local bakeries and businesses, and everything is personally tasted before it is put out (I have tasted so many items!) 3. The knowledge of the staff is overwhelming and I feel truly sorry for Adrianna that she didn't have best experience with the cashiers. However, the owners, Rob and Lisa have over 20 years of experience with organic foods as well as supplements. They passed on their knowledge to their floor managers they can safely and confidently assist you in making the right decisions with your supplements. 4. They are cheaper than Whole Foods and Outpost with better quality in their products. Woodman's is cheaper, but still lacking in certain selections 5. Organic wine and beer, need I say more? Support your local health foods store, this one is a keeper. read more

I have lived in Brookfield for a little over 12 years and didn't know about this store - go figure I was on a SAD lifestyle (Standard American Diet). On August 2012 I moved to a Raw Vegan lifestyle, the funny thing is I never knew about this store because I was never looking for healthier options in food, a few weeks after going vegan that store pop in my eyes while driving so I stopped to check it out. First the staff is very friendly, the store its clean and everything organize witch is a big plus. Great selection on vitamins and supplements - I personally love Garden of Life. I've shopped here ever since, just wish they carry more selection of fruits like persimmons mmm delicious! But that is not a big deal, as a Raw Vegan there is plenty of fresh produce for me :) Keep up the good job guys. read more

I was very disappointed to shop at Health Hut in Brookfield and find that they are not following Covid-19 health guidelines. No employees wear masks,no social distancing and no wipes for the carts. Most customers were wearing masks. The owners and managers apparently don't care about the health of customers or employees. I will not shop there again. read more

When you walk into a store and 3 employees are standing around talking to each other without recognizing that a customer just walked in and not one of them greets you is mind boggling to me. It turns the experience into an unwelcoming one. Then after shopping and going to the register the cashier doesn't even say "hello" and just starts scanning the items... awkward. Bad service. I will not be back. You have too much competition to not be acknowledging your customers. read more
