They always have fantastic quality fresh fruit and vegetables. The quality is worth the cost. I never have to toss produce because of mold or bruises. The store is clean and well organized, fun to explore, smelled nice. Offering all the things I have a mind to want. Perfectly fine but small place to grab your herbal supplements, vitamins, and natural products in the area. Apparently people with less than 3 reviews to their name like to hate on this Health Hut. It's not Whole Foods, but I witnessed a lady asking for help finding things from the cashier, and while sorry old lady, she can't be pulled away while others wait to be checked out, the cashier pleasantly called her coworker to quickly assist! This is a great little place a bit off the path that provides all the hippy dippy stuff you need and desire. Is it a little expensive, maybe, but this isn't wacarnolds fool it's a health food store. You can get vegetarian, vegan, pork, beef, bison, fake meat whatever that's all been made for high quality, high ethical consumption. Yeah, it's a little smaller and maybe you take a second in line to check out but what's wrong with taking a beak for a second for the good of your food and your body. Just chill, man. Grab some fresh organic produce, some local coffee, some fresh cold drinks and make the day your healthy oyster. Chances are they have what you need and if not they can tell you how to find it elsewhere. So quit lollygagging and grab some goods. read more

This place is not great but it's not the worst. There are definitely a lot of things you can probably only find here, and the staff was really friendly helping me find what I needed. I really know nothing about the stuff they sold there, but was getting some vitamins and supplements my doctor recommended. I told them I wanted the cheapest option available and they did not pressure me in any way to get something more expensive. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is their gift card system. My brother gave me a gift card here and I spent most of it but had maybe 6 dollars left over. Instead of you keeping the card and having the six dollars stay on it they give you a receipt to keep that says you have 6 dollars left. If you are not blessed with organizational and memory skills you can wave your leftover gift card money goodbye. I think I lost that receipt a few days after receiving it. read more

Although I've been here many times I've rarely seen a friendly face. Not to mention, they are not knowledgable about Health and products. Customer service is terrible. Their meat dept is Always lacking or empty. I would stick with the Bluemound location every time! That staff is friendly and knows what they are doing! read more

I've shopped at health hut since they first opened. Yes the young staff sometimes doesn't know an answer but that just goes with saying . It's a convenient store and they have a lot of what I need , I buy 99% organic and their Prices are good and it's well run really. If any one has had a bad experience here maybe it was your in patience getting in the way. Linda, and Tina are very helpful and knowledgable and always help me find or get an answer to whatever I need. I am glad they're here and I like the food options available. I have been a customer of the Health Hut in West Allis for more than 20 years -- since I was diagnosed with celiac disease. They were the only store I could find with any gluten-free food at all, and today, they have an even greater selection of gluten-free foods. Their supply of supplements is phenomenal, as well. I was there today (July 1, 2020), and no employees were wearing masks. Masks have been recommended by the CDC as a preventive measure against COVID-19. All health-care facilities that I have been in require masks to be worn by employees and patients.I can social distance from other customers, but asking for information and checking out require a closer distance than six feet. I can only assume that Health Hut is not concerned about the health of its customers. I will not return to Health Hut until employees are required to wear masks. read more

This is a good place to pick up natural supplements. They also have a small grocery section. Friendly staff. If you need help, you have to ask (I wandered the store for a long time with no acknowledgement from staff). They are very helpful. Their prices are good. Well worth the stop. read more

Excellent selection of natural groceries; truly a wealth of both natural and processed goods, nonGMO, certified organic, etc. There were only a couple choices that were out of my league but organic peanut butter isn't a need for me, just a minor want. If you're on a budget you can find some goodies for sure. Nice, ginormous shopping bags and spring water offered in refillable multi-gallon tanks for a small price. read more

Staff is helpful and will always do their best to serve your needs. They offer discounts if I "special order" an item just for myself. Their bulk Tea selection is something out of my dreams. They have a fantastic grocery section to complement their complete supplement and work out isles. While walking through the store, it is clear they only carry natural/raw or Organic products that meet their standards. I definitely recommend this Ma and Pa grocery/supplement store to anyone who likes the comfortable feel of spending less. read more

I shop at this store several times a month because I am trying to improve my health with natural products and it is close to home. Sadly, the staff is very lacking in many areas. They are not friendly or knowledgeable on their products. For example, I stopped in to buy their natural cat liter (which is great), but they were sold out. The sales lady that I spoke to wasn't even aware that they carried the product. read more

They seem to have all the unusual and hard to find things as well as a lot of "standard" health items. They are always helpful if I can't find what I'm looking for. The prices are lower than most other places for similar items. I don't know what I'd do without them for the DIY ingredients! read more

This is my local resource for the kinds of products that can't be found at the supermarket. (Pure Aloe Vera, Soap Nuts, Organic Bulk Items, Grass Fed Meats, Raw Meal, African Black Soap, Liquid Stevia, etc.) It's a small place with somewhat limited shelf space, but what they have is consistent and priced competitively. It is conveniently located and the staff has generally been courteous and helpful. I would definitely miss them if they weren't here. read more

I called ahead to see if this location had Tanka Bars, and they confirmed they did. I drove for half an hour to reach the store. There were three guys hanging around by the checkout. I looked by the chocolate bars, and the protein bars, but could not find them. I walked over to the two guys hanging out talking, and they didn't stop chatting. So I asked if they could show me where they were. The older gentleman with a beard walked over to the chocolate bars, and said there. I said no, I checked there already, and that they were Tanka Bars, and were made with buffalo and cranberries, and that I had just called and they said they had them. He just walked back to the front of the store. I should have just left, but I spent an hour total driving. I walked through the rest of the store, found them in another area, and left. This used to be a wonderful store. I will no longer give them my business at this location. read more
