    Potato salad

Stopped on our way to go camping and it was the perfect stop! Absolutely delicious sandwich and potato salad. The sandwich was very flavorful, packed with meat, and not dry! They had outdoor seating that is dog friendly. The inside had some tables as well as local goods. The staff was very nice. Would definitely stop again if in the area.

Everyone had a different sandwich and they were all delicious! How often does that happen? These are made to order gourmet sandwiches. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the front, but they bring it to your table. This will be a regular stop for us in Eagle as it is a quick off and on from I-70.

If you are someone who likes big, bold flavors - you would enjoy this place. Everything we had had very very big flavor profiles and were nicely balanced. Together, they definitely competed with one another in terms of the big flavored entrees and sides. The pickle was also very bold and zesty, but it was perfectly crisp. You can tell a lot of thought went to each item on the menu. If you want to go to somewhere eclectic with a unique menu and unique, big flavor profiles - definitely give this a try.

Recently had the opportunity to try Pickled deli for lunch. This is such a cool location and restaurant in the area and I would happily come back to try more of their food. I ordered the Don Vito, or Italian sub and the potato salad as a side. This was a huge meal and the sub itself was very large. The salad had nice flavor, my partner ordered the Manhattan with tabbouleh as well as the mountain cristo and pickled cucumbers. The pickled cucumbers were so delicious. We enjoyed all the sandwiches, I do however wish that the Don Vito was either more balanced on the bread or it had less toppings. Everything fell off the sandwich and it was super messy to eat. The flavors combined were great and the meat tasted delicious so it's more a matter of form versus flavor. The views from the patio are great if the weather is nice and the service was kind. Overall a great opportunity to stop here for lunch!

The meatloaf sliders are so good! Forst stop here and definitely won't be the last one. Small diner with incredible selections to challenge your taste buds. Seriously we will drive back from Bachelor Gulch to eat lunch or lie dinner here! It's that good!

This place is amazing - just stopped here on a trip to Eagle thinking we would get a quick bite and it's a sandwich place whatever. Far from it. The food was outstanding and on a different level than just 'oh this is a good sandwich' but more 'how did they even think of that and then execute it so well?' Also I would have eaten here if they were blasting polka music or even nails on a chalkboard but instead the music was fantastic. It's the little things.

Manhattan sandwich--pastrami on rye. Tasty but small. I was still hungry afterwards.

The sandwiches are tasty and the meat tender and flavorful. The Manhattan, a pastrami on rye sandwich, had a nice bite to it and the brown mustard it was served with was spot on. There was a big selection of sandwiches and salads and you could probably eat here for a few weeks and get something different every day for lunch. However -- for the prices, the portions are small. The sandwich pictured is about $16 with tax, and I was still hungry after eating it (and I am not a big guy or eater). Also, the menu is confusing. At the bottom they have a bunch of entrees listed; my crew was excited about the veggie enchiladas and Szechuan beef; when I called to order them they told me I had the wrong restaurant and they were a sandwich shop (?!) When I got there and spoke to the guy behind the counter he said those are just examples of things they made sometimes. None of the ones they did have in stock were vegetarian. Cookies were delicious and the shop is a nice space to browse and eat inside. Service was a bit slow--took about 30 minutes for 3 sandwiches and a salad. I would return if passing by again.

Growing up working and enjoying restaurants, I know the importance of a positive first impression that carries throughout the entire dining experience. Every time I come in, I am met with a personable, friendly, and knowledgeable employee, willing and able to suggest anything to tickle my fancy for an elevated dining experience. I can tell there is a lot of fun to be had amidst the people working because everyone is smiling and seemingly having a great time. These are some of the themes I was excited to embrace as I took on planning one of my friend's birthdays. Being a planner, I started talking with the manager, Morgan to ensure everything went smoothly. Morgan went above and beyond to assure I was aware of all of the logistics that went into coordinating the best birthday party at Capitol Public House. I definitely did not make things easy for her. Despite the back and forths that came from an indecisive group of people, Morgan was able to get us an estimate of what the minimum would be to host the party, she was able to ensure we would have the back room for a party of 30, on a Saturday, at 17:00 (crazy busy time for the restaurant); all the while delegating herself with gracious kindness and clear communication. This was so nice to be met with, especially considering how any other person (including myself) would have lost patience considering the circumstances of the situation. Having seen and been a part of parties at this restaurant, I know that the night would have been a spectacular experience. Unfortunately, the other members of the party decided to take charge and make new plans. I was so sad that our work wasn't rewarded that I felt I needed to share my experience of planning the party so others would have a feel for the ease and excitement I experienced while doing so. To Morgan and everyone at CPH, thank you for your outstanding and considerate service, always, especially in planning this party. Y'all rock socks!

Definitely wanted to give this Chinese restaurant a try. OMG! The Kung Pao Shrimp was so delicious. The shrimp were of good size & quality. The hot garlic sauce was of a tasty spicy blend. I did wish the peanuts were crushed but that's me being picky. The dinner portion was definitely enough for 2 people. But hey it was so good, I finished it all by myself. The gentleman behind the counter was very energetic & amusing. He was quick to refill my coke. He was very attentive. The restaurant was of great size. You can definitely fit multiple large size families. Great ambiance. Definitely worth the visit.

We got the house fried rice, beef lo mein, kung pao chicken, and wonton soup. The soup broth was good but the wontons weren't flavorful (could use some salt/seasoning). The shrimp and char siu pork in the rice were yummy -- and no shortage of egg! Beef lo mein and kung pao chicken were pretty standard, but we enjoyed the meat tenderness. Overall, I think the dishes could use more seasoning but everything was good. We had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day. Plus, taking shots at a Chinese restaurant bar is an experience!

We poked around the store a bit and it definitely gave the feeling of not being in the valley anymore. Ultimately we came to eat though and so you go to the back and it's a very cafeteria feeling eatery back there. The ceilings are high, there are chairs and tables and extra inventory everywhere. Based on the menu, we ordered tacos, but they also had tortas, burritos and even off-menu menudo (next time). We got some drinks and ordered our tacos. They came out reasonably quickly and we're just absolutely loaded with meat. Almost like they had been punched out of a larger taco with a cookie cutter. I ordered the carne asada and chicharrone tacos while my wife got pastor and carne asada. I'd definitely be down to try all the other offerings. This meal was a great surprise. I'll definitely be coming back here again and again.

Order first, grab a soda from the many refrigerators on the wall and wait for your food. They'll stick your tray on the counter but don't call out that it is ready so if it's busy keep your eyes open. We ordered four kinds of tacos: Carne asada (steak) - it was tender enough and well cooked but seriously lacking in flavor compared to the others that we tasted. Chicken - decent tender chicken shreds albeit a bit plain. Chicharron - small pieces of crispy pork rind that right before serving in the tacos are tossed in a spicy tomato sauce. Very good but you have to eat this one instantly when served otherwise the crispy pork rind starts to get mushy and chewy. Very delicious sauce! Pork al Pastor - Seriously the best of the four. Normally al pastor are made with the pork cooked in layers on a vertical split and served with some pineapple. Since this isn't a very busy place they don't do the volume required for having that kind of spit and they cook marinated chunks of pork on the grill. The marinade was very flavorful and strong and I would order these again the next time we are in the area and decide to eat here. One of the folks in our group had the multiple meat hamburger. It had a beef patty, some baloney like meat, a grilled piece of ham, a split hotdog, and bacon! They have lots of Hispanic and Mexican soft drinks as well as Pepsi products but very little in terms of low calorie drinks. Just Diet Pepsi and then three or four versions of flavored, unsweetened waters like Topo Chico. A very good value relative to the ski town where we are staying.
