Ordered online for pick up. It was ready when I got there. Still super hot, could feel it through the bag. The dish was huge, turned out to be 2 meals for me so $10 per meal. Lots of rice and meat. Very tasty and delicious. You can ask for extra sauce. That's the only thing I would have done, just ask for an extra side of sauce and i wanted all the rice to have flavor. read more

Food is great. Good portions, great quality and healthy options too! Deals for family or single servings. Always hitting the mark with flavor though. Service absolutely immaculate. Michel showed peak quality service. He cares about his customers for sure. He took the time to help another guest in a wheel chair with their drink at the fountain station and even brought their food out table side. In leaving an appointment nearby I took advantage of stopping in to this pick up sticks. Having never been to one before I researched their menu and what I wanted to get and found it super easy on their website to go through each menu item and figure out exactly what I wanted. It gives you the option to add your utensils and any condiments you want. Loved opening the bag and having exactly the amount I requested of different sauces, it was done 10 minutes before they said it would be, and the food was so hot and fresh! Staff was super friendly, and the place was really clean and much bigger inside than I had thought. After getting in my car, I peaked inside the dish and the vegetables are so fresh, the meat is all quality good meat! I was just so impressed, I will be back for sure!!! Pick Up Stix La Mesa is located just to the west of Costco on Fletcher Parkway near Baltimore Drive in a small area it shares with other fast food restaurants. The parking lot is awkwardly shaped and a bit tricky, so use caution. My Mother has always liked the Orange chicken [called "General's Orange chicken" on the menu]. Accordingly, I went in and ordered that tonight. The cashier was named Alberto, and he was very pleasant and efficient---a stellar employee for the company! I ordered the food to go. The packing of the chicken was in a covered, well-sealed container dish that I could eat from directly, which made it all the more easy. No washing of dishes necessary once you got home! A fortune cookie is a fun final treat offered on the house. read more

I actually meant to start with the wings, but the eggplant was so good I ended up eating half of it before even getting to them. By that point I was already getting full, but I still made sure to finish the wings--and I'm honestly excited to take the rest of the eggplant home as leftovers. By the time I got to the wings, I understood why they're popular--crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying--but what stood out to me was how both dishes complemented each other. One rich and layered, the other crisp and bright. I never got tired of eating, which honestly says a lot. Another employee then stepped in to back him up, making the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I've been around the industry long enough to know that kitchens often stop taking orders before closing or that staff are trying to finish cleaning at the end of the night. If they had simply said, "We're sorry, but our kitchen is already closed," or even, "We can still serve you, but we're finishing up for the night," we would have completely understood. There was no reason to speak to us disrespectfully. What made this experience frustrating is that we never came in with an attitude or demanded special treatment. We were polite from the moment we walked through the door. We simply asked a reasonable question based on the restaurant's posted business hours, and instead of receiving a courteous explanation, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Customer service is just as important as the food. A welcoming attitude can make guests want to return, while a rude interaction can overshadow everything else. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. I also would not feel comfortable bringing my family or recommending this restaurant to friends because everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback and reminds their staff that even when it's close to closing time, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way.

Went in to dine. The cashier was cool took my order and was plesent. I was having app issues at the time of order and she nicely explained how to use the app and the receipt to earn my points at a later time. When my app came up I remembered that I had an offer for veteran's (yes I am a veteran) I could use. When I explained the app issue to the manager she acted like I was trying to cheat the company out of something and told me NO in a very transactional way. Guess this spot is out of rotation.
