The past several times I've been in this store found me leaving and driving down the street to AutoZone, furious with the incredibly poor service. The staff could not care less about service or the customers! There appears to be absolutely NO-ONE managing or in charge! Absolutely ZERO professionalism care or concern for the customers! Today, my mechanic was awaiting the arrival of a part delivery to complete a routine service on one of the vehicles in our fleet. After almost an hour of waiting, he attempted to contact the vendor, Oreilly's on S. Main St. which is approx. four miles from his shop. He was placed on an indefinite hold, TWICE! The part never arrived. My mechanic could never speak to an O'Reily employee to determine of the part ever even left the shop! I had to drive to AutoZone myself to achieve the part and complete the service. I asked that my mechanic promise he would not deal with this parts store again if I was to continue having my vehicles serviced there! I have NO idea how this parts store stays in business! They certainly do not deserve to!

We were having generator problems during the storms and couldn't find anybody that worked on…read moregenerators until we got a referral from someone at the hardware store in PG. After looking at the low reviews, I was a bit concerned about bringing my business here but I have to say my experience was completely different. We mostly dealt with Curtis and he informed me upfront that there would be a $35 charge to check out the generator and if we decided to move forward with the repair that it would be applied to the repair. Turns out, the issue was in a solenoid between the propane tank, and the generator, which was keeping the propane from flowing in. Before realizing this was the problem, he had already checked the oil and spark plug, and charged up the battery and then figured out it was the solenoid where it connected to the tank. Long story short, we got our generator back in a couple days and the total cost was $75, which seemed very reasonable to us. When we went to pick it up, Curtis walked us through the entire process, and also showed us some tips on how to get it started more easily in the future. He commented that he liked working on generators so we know what to do in the future if needed again. Anyway, we had a good experience, and wanted to relay that to others!

The machine made some whirring noises and shortly he returned. To my surprise Curtis told me the alternator was working fine but the trouble was a loose cable which created a short and fried the cable. He was very kind and took a lot of time explaining how important a tight cable is and how to properly attach it. After a long discussion, he said "there is no charge". I was very surprised, I thanked him and left. Lee

Very relaxing setting to have a self serve parts store - you can smell the ocean air and view a lot…read moreof nature and trees in the surrounding areas. Also, there are lots of cats in the yard - that can be an amenity if you like four legged furry friends. TDI jetta and a B4 Passat wagon... a w123 - all good stuff and very hard to find. Grabbed some bits and pieces for the cars - and even my w210. Went before all the recent rain - thats really the thing to do especially if you want interior parts. Let me tell you the cars on the yard can get funky real fast if they have wet interiors. Its not for the faint of heart. Roll up your sleeves, have some decent shoes your not too concerned about and bring more tools than you think you will need. Professionals have their pack out on wheels. I'm not to that level (yet). I enjoy tinkering with cars and its a good hobby I suppose. I don't know - free time becomes less and less... And Mr Moose is getting needy for attention. Prices can get a little steep. If its a small part where shipping isn't such an issue check ebay first - especially if your comfortable with taking the part off already. Overall better selection than bay area yards - worth the drive. If you have big ticket items maybe wait for a half off day.
