We just finished up having new granite countertops installed in our kitchen by Picasso. I have to say it was a pleasure working with Alex and Irena. They are real pros and know what they are doing. Much to our surprise, the whole process was fairly painless. Alex came out and took some measurements then sent me an estimate to replace our old 6in. tile countertops and backsplash. Their price was competitive and they said they could have the whole job done in two to three weeks, once they started work, so they got the job. First, we picked out the granite slabs we liked from a local slab supplier. Then Alex's crew came over and put down thick construction paper on the floors. Then his crew got to work on removing the old tile, sink and stove. They finished in a day, AND they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Meanwhile, back at their shop, Irena was emailing us options for our new sink and faucet. She was also working with us on the schedule for installing everything. Next, Alex came over to measure for the new countertops. After that we went to their shop to pick out the best slab for the big island in our kitchen. Alex is a real artist and helped us make the perfect selection. Next, one of Alex's finish cabinetry subs came over and made the modifications to our existing casework to accommodate the new ranch-style sink and our convection microwave, oven, warming drawer combo. After that the sink was installed. In no time Alex's and his crew were installing our new countertops. They did their work professionally and quickly and my wife and I are very happy with our new kitchen. I highly recommend this company. Several years ago we remodeled our house which included new countertops throughout. We were never really happy with the master bath countertop and the original fabricator did little to correct the issue. Recently, we decided to have the countertop redone. I selected Picasso to demo/fabricate/install my kitchen counter top due to word of mouth recommendation at the slab yard. They were responsive over email and gave a competitive price. Unfortunately, there were issues from start to finish. During demolition of our existing tile, their crew did not lay enough protective paper and scratched up our hardwood floors. When I complained, they did not apologize and instead said the scratches were preexisting. On installation day, we had multiple issues. 1. They mis-cut the island slab so we had NO island 2. There was a corner that was noticeably broken, then glued back on 3. They put a sizable hole in our drywall to get the slab to fit correctly (cut too long) 4. One of the holes for plumbing was too small 5. They left a mess on my driveway We were really bummed about not having the island on installation day but it also meant I had to take another day off work for another installation. Picasso did order a replacement slab at no cost, but only after more pain. The replacement slab they tried to give us was discolored and had large fissures. It was so bad that even the slab yard guy told us to refuse it. We eventually found a replacement slab but it took quite a few weeks to procure and install. In the end, the 3 week project took almost 3 months. They made multiple errors and did not provide 'great customer service' as promised. I understand that mistakes happen, but when they do, you expect to be treated right. If I could do it over, I would choose a different fabricator. read more

I had a carrara marble countertop fabricated for my bathroom vanity. Picasso Renovations did a fantastic job in cutting and installing it to my exact taste. I saw the previous poor review of Picasso and had to write my own review because I had a completely difference and much better experience. I found the perfect slab remnant at a slab yard in Roseville and asked them if they could recommend any fabricators - Picasso Renovations was highly recommended, as they deliver slabs to them frequently. I needed the whole fabrication to be fast - as in less than a week turnover. The owners of Picasso, Irena and Alex, reassured me that they could get the job done and have it installed in no time. They also gave me a fantastic quote for the countertop - hundreds of dollars less than other Sacramento fabricators quotes. I was a little worried that a cheaper cost meant lower quality, but they proved me wrong with their amazing craftsmanship. All it took was 2 visits by Alex - one to measure the vanity and ask my preference in trim and thickness, and the second visit to install the counter and backsplash. They were prompt in both appointments, courteous, and knew exactly what they were doing. When they drilled holes in the counter for the sink and faucet, they cleaned up after themselves and left it in perfect shape. I took one star off because they convinced me to center my vanity a little off from what I had originally intended. It's not exactly centered, but it makes sense in a way and it wasn't their fault, only my poor decision making. read more

The staff at Picasso are true experts in their profession! Both Alex and Irena are extremely and keep their customers very happy. Case in point: We were shopping for that perfect slab of beautiful stone when Irena called to advise that the slab we picked out at had too many fractures to be useful. She suggested that we come by the Picasso Showroom and look at smaller slabs that could be very good for our laundry room; we are very happy that we did! We saw many beautiful slabs..and found the one " for us! Their meticulous attention to detail, and reasonable timetable for completion during the installation was just beyond belief! As I watched the craftsmen install the beautiful granite countertop, Alex was right there to assist the individuals solve minor changes due to an old house i.e., laundry room not perfectly level, room corners not quite 90°.. Spent over $25K with this cabinet/granite company. Ordered cabinets with expensive crown moulding. Not only was the moulding the wrong size but not enough was sent for the job. I had the moulding cut to my specs by another cabinet company. My installer said there was not enough moulding for the job but Picasso said there was enough. The factory sent 4 sticks of 8ft and my cabinet footprint was at least 34+ ft not counting 17 corners that would cause waste due to the mitering. At the end my contractor ran out of moulding and we needed 3 more sticks to finish the job. Even though my contract called for crown moulding Picasso wanted me to pay for the extra. I appealed this to the manufacturer (Huntwood Cabinets, Washington State) and they said it was not their problem. They also said that if I wanted to get it I would have to go through Picasso at $150/stick. This one man company is basically shady if not dishonest.--DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH HIM! His wife got involved after I sent threatening letter and it appears that the moulding has been ordered at their expense but they would not pay for express shipping making me and my contractor wait in excess of 30 days. It took a little bit longer to get the granite countertops installed than we would have liked because the installer had some health issues but once the job was tone, the countertops looks great and so does the backsplash. Great job! read more

Irena and Alex were very nice to work with and did a great job with our kitchen counters. They were always very timely with their responses to our needs and kept us up to date as to how the process was going. I do wish that they accepted credit cards. That would have made payment a little easier, but it probably would have cost me more money too. Just make sure to have the check ready for the installers when they come. I cannot say enough about Picasso Renovations, I found a slab of quartz for my new kitchen and asked for a list of fabricators - I also asked if they could tell me which one of these fabricators was really good and close to my area - they recommended Picasso and I am so glad they did. I called them on the phone and they were very nice and seemed like they knew what they were talking about. They said to have the company pull two slabs and Alex (the owner) would go take a look at them. I went to the company and had them pull the two slabs (the slab of quartz was very expensive) but, figured one slab (I have small kitchen) would work. I get a call later in the day from Alex saying that cutting the slab to make it look good would take two slabs and that the cost would be $$$$, he said the choice was mine but he stated I could go pick out something else. I took what he said into consideration and decided I could not afford two slabs and went back to the granite place and picked out a piece of granite that Alex went to look at and he called said he liked the granite and that it would work. I had to wait for my son to put in the Kitchen cabinets but Alex came out and measured everything and stated again he liked the granite I picked out and could possibly cut it all in one cut where there would be no seam - he would let me know. At that time, I decided to have Picasso put in the backsplash as this project was taking way too long waiting on my son as he works during the week and could only work on the kitchen on the weekends - he gave me a price and I accepted the terms. When my son put in the cabinets, I then called Alex and Irena to set up an appointment to install the granite and backsplash. They came on a holiday (Labor Day) because Alex knew I was so stressed being without a kitchen for so long - they arrived right on time, it was cut in one piece and did a beautiful job installing the new sink and granite, cleaned up beautifully and left in little over an hour. The next morning right on time, the fellow showed up to install the backsplash and also did a beautiful job - there was a lot of backsplash to install - cleaned up and I couldn't be happier with the services I received from Picasso. This is a company you can trust and what they give you as an estimate is it - no changes, no adding costs - very upfront and honest - I would highly recommend them to anyone needing kitchen remodeling needs.
