I hired The Countertop Doc after receiving many quote. The service was great, he visited multiple showrooms and went out of his way to find me a quartz slab I liked at a good price.

Corian counters cut for rectangular undermount sink.

I was replacing an old-fashioned 2-basin sink with a modern big, deep, rectangular one and needed the countertop cut to fit. I requested bids from ~5 different contractors - Counter Doc was the only one willing to work with Corian. The sink I had bought was almost too big for the cupboards and it was really important that I end up with a negative reveal and no ledge for the scum to build up on. I shouldn't have worried! Bob did an amazing job getting the sink to fit, protect the rest of my kitchen from the dust, and provide a smooth finished edge with no reveal!

Amazing! I had acne medication stains etched into my bathroom vanity . It drove me nuts . The counter top looks brand new . I appreciated his no nonsense approach , I highly recommend .

This is the chip I had around my sink enclosure in the kitchen. Bobby repaired the quartz and you can't even tell.

The project included a half wall of granite behind the tub and granite counter tops in the master bath. In the guest bath we used quartzite on the vanity and on top of a small cabinet. Overall Performance: 1. Quick response, great communication and price. Cesar responded quickly and provided a very competitive quote. Good and timely communication is important to me and a must to avoid mistakes when doing projects that involve a lot of detail. Cesar quickly responded to all my questions, listened to what my vision was and personally came out on several occasions to review the project site. 2. Quality work and up for a challenge. Cesar is very experience and his team is very talented. I had one slab of granite that I wanted to flow seamlessly behind my freestanding tub. It was going to be tight and no room for error. The slab needed to be cut in half, flipping and taking pieces out of order from both sides, then perfectly matched on design to flow seamlessly. I also wanted a boarder backsplash of the same granite to go around the vanities. Other fabrication companies I quoted said it was not possible. Cesar took on the challenge and executed my vision perfectly. That's true talent and great craftsmanship! 3. Personal attention and hands on involvement. Cesar is very hands on for all his projects. He believes in quality over quantity and doing the job right the first time. Even with that said, he is very timely on getting the job done. He manages his schedule efficiently, effectively and meets all his schedules on time. I really appreciate this because when you have lots of trades coming in on a remodel, timing is everything to keep the schedule on track. In summary I would highly recommend Cesar (and we already have) for any type of stone fabrication and installations needs. I will upload some pictures but the pictures don't do justice as seeing the stone in real life.

The client wanted to change out the existing built-in refrigerator and dishwasher. Long story short, after they reached out to their distract manager who reached out to my district manager, the opportunity to assist the home owner landed on my desk. My store is in Southern California, the home is 6 hours drive north of us in ideal driving conditions. While I knew I would be able to find the means to ship the product up to the customer's home, the next issue became how to have the product installed for the home owner. After some research with some disappointing reviews, I came across Sandman Installation. The reviews were promising and they had a website. Decently maintained with some good photograph's of previous work to show that they are beyond capable for what I was looking for. The CA contractor's license number was listed on their website and a quick check on the Department of Consumer Affairs Contractor's State Board website showed that everything was in order, so I reached out to David via the website. I also tried to reach out by telephone thinking that he might not take me seriously if he saw that I was trying to reach him from Southern California via email. David called me back about an hour later and we discussed the possible work lined up and he provided me a quote. Having been in this industry for the past decade, his figures were on the slightly higher side, but completely within reason due to the fact that the jobsite is 1-1/2 hours drive from himself, in ideal driving circumstances. After getting back in touch with the home owner with the figures for the appliances and the cost of installation, she wished to proceed. I made sure to include both the home owner and David in all of the email correspondence so that everyone was on the same page. David had always been nothing short of a pure professional in his email responses as well as telephone correspondences with me and the home owner. Flash forward to the time frame the home owner was due to receive their product. The carrier company had some delays due to weather, I am grateful that she is a very patient and understanding person. Some further miscommunication between the carrier company and the home owner resulted in the product arriving a couple of days later than what we planned. David was extremely flexible in working with us. When the client informed me that she had received the appliances, I reached out to David to confirm that the product was there and he agreed to perform the installation work the next day. That evening he contacted the home owner to confirm an estimated window of arrival. The next morning, he contacted me to ensure the address he had was accurate and to confirm he was en route. I also confirmed with the home owner by email the estimated window for him to arrive. At 7 PM that evening, I received an email from the home owner. She was very pleased with everything. She explained that David had taken a few hours to very CAREFULLY and meticulously uninstall her old appliances and install her new appliances. Most folks might not think much of an installer who takes their time as we are used to expecting things done instantly. In my field, too many installers rush jobs where mistakes are found at a later time when it is the most inconvenient time. Sandman Installations subscribes to the "old" philosophy of taking pride in their work. If my company ever opened a branch in Northern California, I would gladly recommend Sandman Installations as the preferred installer. I wish he was in Southern California as I would love to have him be THE installer for every kitchen remodel project I am involved in.

It's hard to know where to begin because the experience with KM is so different from that experienced with typical contractors. Communication. Typically a major frustration with contractors was in fact excellent with KM. Emails and calls were returned in a timely manner and they go to great lengths to explain the process and provide a detailed timeline. Duration of work. We had gotten estimates of 4-6 months to complete our remodel; KM was finished in a little over a month. They stuck to their schedule (despite problems that arose with suppliers) and always communicated any changes that were required. They handled all of the permitting requirements, and in Davis that is not a small task. Notable is that a KM staffer came to the house the day of final inspection and looked at the whole house for potential problems. He replaced ALL of our smoke detectors at no cost just to make sure there were no problems with the inspection. The Davis inspector was very impressed with the work and passed the job without any concerns. Quality of work. We had superb craftsmen work on our project; John and Zachary and Joe were all just excellent. They took pride in their work, showed up on time, and always communicated what they were doing. They took great pains to minimize dust and overall mess. Huge sheets of plastic were placed floor to ceiling to localize the dust and debris. Sheets of protective material were placed on the floor. Everything was done in a professional manner. The supervisor of our project, Edgar, was remarkable in watching over the project and being there whenever needed. Sourcing of materials. KM can provide pretty much everything you need with regards to cabinets, fixtures and some appliances. The quality of all materials from KM was excellent and so much more convenient than searching it out on your own. I have to add, however, that their recommended appliance source, A-1 appliance, was very disappointing. A-1 failed to order our rangetop despite it being paid for well in advance, and their installers were incompetent and rude. Our project foreman, Edgar, intervened and was a lifesaver in getting a rangetop in time to prevent a major delay, and in fixing the poor installation provided by A-1. Cost. We had many estimates for our remodel and KM was far from the highest. Their estimate was very accurate and very reasonable considering the quality of work, convenience, and the speed with which the work was done. In summary, Kitchen Mart stands way way above the pack when it comes to the often tedious and stressful process of remodeling your home. They offer a one stop solution, do superb work at a reasonable price, and complete the work in a very timely fashion. We plan to have them do our bathrooms and in fact would not consider anyone else.
