Back in January of this year, a sales person from a Texas Branch of my company had a client that…read morehad recently purchased a home in South Lake Tahoe. The client wanted to change out the existing built-in refrigerator and dishwasher. Long story short, after they reached out to their distract manager who reached out to my district manager, the opportunity to assist the home owner landed on my desk. My store is in Southern California, the home is 6 hours drive north of us in ideal driving conditions. While I knew I would be able to find the means to ship the product up to the customer's home, the next issue became how to have the product installed for the home owner. After some research with some disappointing reviews, I came across Sandman Installation. The reviews were promising and they had a website. Decently maintained with some good photograph's of previous work to show that they are beyond capable for what I was looking for. The CA contractor's license number was listed on their website and a quick check on the Department of Consumer Affairs Contractor's State Board website showed that everything was in order, so I reached out to David via the website. I also tried to reach out by telephone thinking that he might not take me seriously if he saw that I was trying to reach him from Southern California via email. David called me back about an hour later and we discussed the possible work lined up and he provided me a quote. Having been in this industry for the past decade, his figures were on the slightly higher side, but completely within reason due to the fact that the jobsite is 1-1/2 hours drive from himself, in ideal driving circumstances. After getting back in touch with the home owner with the figures for the appliances and the cost of installation, she wished to proceed. I made sure to include both the home owner and David in all of the email correspondence so that everyone was on the same page. David had always been nothing short of a pure professional in his email responses as well as telephone correspondences with me and the home owner. Flash forward to the time frame the home owner was due to receive their product. The carrier company had some delays due to weather, I am grateful that she is a very patient and understanding person. Some further miscommunication between the carrier company and the home owner resulted in the product arriving a couple of days later than what we planned. David was extremely flexible in working with us. When the client informed me that she had received the appliances, I reached out to David to confirm that the product was there and he agreed to perform the installation work the next day. That evening he contacted the home owner to confirm an estimated window of arrival. The next morning, he contacted me to ensure the address he had was accurate and to confirm he was en route. I also confirmed with the home owner by email the estimated window for him to arrive. At 7 PM that evening, I received an email from the home owner. She was very pleased with everything. She explained that David had taken a few hours to very CAREFULLY and meticulously uninstall her old appliances and install her new appliances. Most folks might not think much of an installer who takes their time as we are used to expecting things done instantly. In my field, too many installers rush jobs where mistakes are found at a later time when it is the most inconvenient time. Sandman Installations subscribes to the "old" philosophy of taking pride in their work. If my company ever opened a branch in Northern California, I would gladly recommend Sandman Installations as the preferred installer. I wish he was in Southern California as I would love to have him be THE installer for every kitchen remodel project I am involved in.

I really wanted to to hire CA Tile & Granite to install Cambria Quartz as my new kitchen counter…read more "Pavel" (came to my home to measure) and "Rosemary" (helped me choose color in office) were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The price was within my budget, but was still weighing 3 bids. When I delved down the details - per the Cambria Warranty, the material needs to be installed by a "Cambria approved installer" and CA Tile & Granite is NOT listed on the Cambria website (CambriaUSA.com) as an approved installer. To clarify the matter, I called Rosemary and she told me it was because they are a fabricator, but I was puzzled because they were to install the counter too. I felt she was defensive and told me to email her Cambria Representative "Carol", which I did. I was surprised to not hear a response from Carol after 5 days and it would of been nice to hear a follow up from Rosemary too. On Day 6 Rosemary contacted with a phone number for Carol. I was disappointed CA Tile & Granite could not answer my questions from the start and makes me feel hesitant to work with them in the future, in case there was a problem.

We are still in that phase where we sit and stare in awe at what ADH accomplished for us. This major construction journey began last fall, when I thoroughly researched every well-reviewed home remodeling company serving this area. I only considered companies with more than 4 stars on Yelp and Google. We interviewed and received bids from five of them, and we were comfortable choosing ADH. We now know we made exactly the right decision. Amazingly, ADH came to us with a proposal that included everything on our wish list, and at a significantly more reasonable price than any of the others. We were impressed by their showroom, and we were especially drawn to ADH because it has its own manufacturing facility, where it custom-makes the high-end cabinetry it installs. Osa was our designer, and she was terrific. Osa was easy to work with, always available when we needed her help, and supportive in every way imaginable. Spending at this level, and contemplating at least a month of daily construction in the home, is stressful. Yet Osa assured us and explained the process in ways that alleviated many of our concerns. We felt fortunate to have her at our side all along the way. Every single ADH employee that we interacted with was a pleasure to deal with. Andrey was our project manager, and his competence and calm demeanor throughout were always helpful. Our remodel involved having workers in our home every day for a month. The respect and care they showed for our home and our comfort throughout the construction period were above and beyond anything we expected. I am posting pictures of the before and after, but no photo can do justice to the dramatic difference these changes made to our home. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding, the countertops are magnificent, and the fit and finish of every part this project are first-class all the way. Obviously, I highly recommend ADH for any level of remodeling you are thinking about. Comparing to the other quotes I had obtained the price seemed fair and I felt comfortable booking with them due to their affiliation with Costco. From the consultation to the scheduling of appointments and the installation every thing went smoothly. I had lots of questions and inquires about my project and they responded quickly and were very patient with me. Although a smaller project and my budget was limited I still appreciate the attention they provided to me for the kitchen counters and backsplash renovation.
