Before embarking on our bathroom remodel project (replacing tub with a shower stall), I asked around and did some research. It was a busy time for contractors - some wouldn't even give us a bid. After a few calls, we found three who were willing to talk with us and give us a bid for our job. I must say that I was a bit skeptical initially of just how glowing the reviews were for Bradley Builders. Having been through remodels and heard the remodel horror stories of others, it seems that things rarely go that smoothly. But from the very beginning to the very end, it was truly a pleasure to work with the Bradley Builders team. During our initial consultation with JT, he made several recommendations about details of our project that told me he understood what we needed. He was honest about explaining the timeline in terms of how long things would likely take before they were able to start the project. Note - they don't do the design, but have suggestions on designers they have worked with, if you need. While their bid was higher than the other two we received, it was more detailed and we felt was a more honest representation of what we would end up paying for the project. The other two bids were more vague in areas, making it harder to know what things would cost when we actually got started on the project. They were communicative throughout the project. They provided an accurate timeline that had some buffers in it (i.e., they weren't scheduled to be there every day), so that if a particular individual wasn't available on the originally scheduled day, it didn't throw off the entire project schedule. KC, Lowell and all of the subcontractors on the job were good to work with. They were happy to answer our questions and did very good work. We had one small issue with the accent tile (caused by the manufacturer, not the installer). JT paid for an extra tile cleaner to come out and see if they could fix the issue, which they were able to do. We appreciate this extra step to help us resolve an issue that wasn't their fault. So as skeptical as I was in the beginning, now I understand why the reviews for Bradley Builders were so glowing... and have now written one of my own. :-) read more

If you don't have a "big project", don't waste your time having them come out. I met JT in January - he was really friendly and came out to give us an estimate on our kitchen. He tried to upsell us on some kitchen items and we weren't interested. I hadn't received an estimate in early March so I contacted them again; his assistant said he would get back to me "Our office will get back to you at the soonest convenience, with an update regarding your questions about the scope of your project and providing a proposal for the work: " and now it's April with no estimate. They look like they do some cool projects but they wasted my time. read more

I'm disappointed in the lack of professionalism with Ellen who schedules appointments for Mr Bradley. I scheduled an appointment to get a quote for a remodel/addition. My husband took the day off of work and everything so that we could both be present for our appointment. 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment Mr Bradley still hadn't arrived so I called to see if he was running late. Turns out Ellen took my phone number down wrong and tried to confirm the scheduled time leading up to the appointment but could not get a hold of me to do so due to the mistake on her part. I understand mistakes happen but to just not show up was unacceptable. Furthermore, she seemed unapologetic and even defensive. I asked her to have Mr Bradley call me regarding this mix up. I still have not heard from him... Edit: raising to 3 stars because I appreciate the response from Mr. Bradley. I do suggest you rethink your scheduling process though. read more

Bradley Builders has completed three large projects for us in the last 5 years- remodeled family room, remodeled kitchen, and most recent poured a driveway addition and replumbed the whole house. The sub contractors they use are the best. I can trust them in my home when I am not there and they always leave the site clean at the end of the day. JT is one of the owners and when he quotes a job, you will be hard pressed to beat it. If you can you will probably regret it. We will always call Bradley Builders first for any future projects. I want to say to JT and his team, sorry for the late post. JT and his team have done a tremendous job in our door replacement. Like so many homeowners who have a bought in a subdivision, many of the windows and doors are bought in bulk and the the quality is mediocre. So the wife and I decided to replace a slider and 8' window (in our master bedroom). We went with a French Door in the bedroom. We decided to go with Marvin Windows. We bought doors through The Window and Door Shop - we had a quote from another popular window and door place and they wanted to $4000 more!. Well The Window and Door Shop contracts with Bradley Builders for the installation. JT and his team explained every process along the way- from removing the existing slider and window, to the installation of the new doors, to re-stucco-ing, painting, and clean up! If there was an issue or delay in the work, i would get a call from their office letting me know what the delay was. I was always kept updated on the progress of the work. The installation went well and the finish work is great. So much so that I have Bradley Builders installing a BBQ island in our backyard - I will post pictures when that is done. I want to start off by saying that I met JT on a problem property. Bradley Builders were contracted by a homeowner to perform stucco repairs on house that I worked on a year prior to that (I own a dry rot restoration company). JT's crews have noted rot and termite issues to the frame of the house that were missed by my crews. So I was contacted by the owner and set up a meeting. Upon checking the issues for my self I was disappointed to realize that the claim was legitimate and I accepted liability for the additional work. I was also a bit disappointed to find out that the owner did not want me nor my crews to repair this issue as her trust in our company was compromised (which is understandable). She spoke highly of JT and Bradley Builders, it was at that point that she told me that she wants them to perform the repairs and me to pick up the bill. I knew that I had to fix this issue and wanted to do the right thing. But being in a compromised position I was really worried that This Bradley Builder Contractor will try to take advantage of the situation and blow the problem out of proportion and try to inflate the prices. During our second meeting I got to meet JT on site, he was very respectful and put forward a very fair bid to perform the necessary repairs. JT was honest, he did not take advantage of my compromised position, both him and the owner allowed me and my crews to pull the permit and repair the framing. His pricing for replacing the stucco and painting the entire front of the home were reasonable. I have to say you do not meet contractors with this level of integrity very often. Me and him exchanged business cards and as I was sorting out my wallet today I pulled out his business card and decided to check their company out on Yelp. To my surprise I found that there is this very negative review which is undoubtedly misleading about who they are. And even though I am embarrassed to write on Yelp that my company has made a mistake I still decided to leave this review because I believe that this Company deserves all 5 starts. From the moment I received the referral for this company and spoke to their office to arrange an appointment for a home renovation And improvement project, they have been responsive, professional, courteous and fair. Every one of their team who has worked with me and all of their subs took personal responsibility for the outcome of a successful beautiful home improvement project. Many old pest and dry rot problems were discovered causing me much stress, and they fairly and calmly walked this stressed homeowner through the process to a great outcome. We met with the owner J T Bradley and negotiated a contract in May. We planned to move in on June 29. The schedule was very aggressive. The work included painting and flooring for the entire house, new counter tops, a completely remodeled master bathroom in marble, conversion to LED lighting throughout, baseboard, crown molding, specialty glass doors and many other improvements. Bradley Builders team began immediately and finished the job on schedule. The job superintendent and the management staff communicated with us regularly to keep us appraised of progress. We met with the salesperson for Bradley Builders to discuss our master bathroom remodel. He asked for our budget and we informed him we hoped to spend $30,000.00. He stated that was reasonable. Based on this conversation we agreed to go forward, which included paying for plans. When the plans were complete we received a bid of $53,105.00 which did not include the permit fee or bathroom fixtures (sinks, faucets, toilets). Be cautious and confirm the Builder is aware of your budget before proceeding. Waste of time and money. read more

When we discovered Bradley Builders last year at a home show we though he was out of our price range but fortunately for us his business accepts all jobs both big and small. We started with a small job replacing a good neighbor fence and the quality is excellent!! Next we replaced the roof on our home according to the specifications of our homeowners association. There is nothing more comforting than having a durable, energy efficient, and professionally constructed roof!! The ultimate project was our kitchen and Great room remodel! If I could give zero stars I would. This company is not a friendly company to work with. They only want to do things their way and are not interested in what you, the customer, wants. First, they wouldn't make an appointment without my husband being there. I tried to explain to them that he is busy traveling for work and that I am taking the lead on the project. But they wouldn't have it. I should have ran at that point. On the phone I expressly stated what our budget was and asked if they could work with that number because many design/build firms will only work with you if you are spending 100k plus. The woman assured me my 40k budget was something they could work with. Once JT arrived, he asked me what my ideas were and without giving me a chance to even get more than 2 sentences out, he stated my kitchen would take about 65k at least to remodel. When I told him that I stated my budget to his office person and she assured me they work with clients whose budgets are on the low end, he started to insult my kitchen stating that everything is outdated, it's ugly, and that 65k would be what it would take to make it passable. He was really, really, rude and then turned the tables on me when I got a little defensive at his rude attitude and statements. JT is really a horrible person who truly believes he is the only one who has any knowledge about how to remodel a kitchen. I would stay away from this company. read more
