He not only did an EXCEPTIONAL job laying our tile in the bathroom, entry way and putting in all of our new lighting- he did in a way that showed us that not only would we have NOT been able to do it ourselves we would have probably done serious damage. We are so glad we hired a pro! He showed extreme care and attention to detail, and you could tell he really cared about the project, and wasn't just trying to get it done as quick as possible. We have so many people remarking on what a transformation our office went through, and we would not have been able to do it without Brendan. We are so thankful to have had his caring and thoughtful spirit there, it made us feel at ease knowing we had the best of the best!

I understand there's a large disparity in terms of professionalism and quality of work in this industry, but we do believe there are certain standards of workmanship and communication that should be met. That's where Darius comes in. We were floored by his fairness, honesty, work ethic, and communication skills. He worked tirelessly to fulfill our sometimes radical requests - and he never once made us feel like we were being too nitpicky or that we were wasting his time. He seemed to take genuine pride in his work and in creating something beautiful. His level of detail and cleanliness are also unmatched. Could not recommend him any higher.

From the very first walkthrough to the final sweep‑up, the quality of your work and your commitment to doing things right were clear throughout the entire process. The tile lines are crisp and consistent, the fixtures are installed flawlessly, and every finish looks polished and professional. Your crew arrived on time each day, treated our home with care, and kept the work area tidy and well‑organized. What really distinguished your team was your steady communication and dependability. You laid out the timeline clearly, checked in whenever small choices needed to be made, and never tried to upsell anything unnecessary. We also appreciated how you spotted potential issues early and offered smart suggestions that ultimately made the space more functional. The finished bathroom is beautiful, sturdy, and already drawing compliments. I would gladly work with PowerUp Construction again and highly recommend your team to anyone looking for a reliable, high‑quality contractor.

There were a couple of items that initially didn't match our expectations, but they addressed and fixed everything at no additional cost. He gave me contact information to follow up with an associate and indeed, she reached out to me on July 21 for pictures and some information about my project. I then contacted them again on August 3rd... no reply... just got ignored. If you don't like arrogant business people wasting your time and ghosting you then I don't recommend this company as they demonstrate a strong lack of respect for their (potential) customers and indeed, I'm now signing with a different company to do my construction project. Edit: Got a call from the owner and he expressed what I felt was a very genuine apology over the apparent inadvertent "ghosting" that I had experienced via communications with an associate. Unfortunately, it's now too late to pursue any potential business with Bradly Builders as a result but of course mistakes happen and I think and feel like Bradley Builders made the effort to reach out and express regret about the experience. I am in the market for a contractor and based on great reviews on Yelp, I phoned Purdy…read moreConstruction. I first phoned them and left a message for Susan. A couple of days passed and I had yet to receive a call back. After not hearing back from them, I phoned them again, and this time got the contractors phone instead of the office phone. There was a pleasant message telling me to phone the office if I wanted to schedule a quote. I then phoned the office and left another message. This time I got a phone call back from Susan. I was told that Jaime (the contractor) was all booked up until September, and I said that fine as there isn't a rush on the job. She began asking me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a quote, but then she back peddled and said, "Can you call back in September?" I was really taken aback by this, and told her this seemed to be a repeat of a review that I read on a social media site. If you're in the market for a contractor in the Sacramento area from July 2014 - September 2014, DON'T call this contractor as he is all booked up and wont give you the time of day! Response to comment from business owner; Thank you for your response to my review of your business. Please allow me to reiterate some of my review and more clearly state my thoughts about my interactions with Purdy Construction. Getting back to a customer in a timely manner: Business standard is to return a phone call within 24 hours, especially when you have a dedicated person (Susan) taking business calls. I waited 72 hours before phoning again. Since there is another review about not responding to a customer inquiry, it sounds like this has been a previous issue. Time frame for project start: As I stated in my review, it is not a rush job and I was fine with the project starting in September. I am completely happy with your availability. Asking ME to phone back in September for a quote: This is what I have an issue with. As a customer, the business should take the responsibility in getting back to a client, or potential client, not the client. My information should've been taken down and a quote taken within a couple of weeks (my hours are flexible and would've been happy to work around your full schedule), and not start the project until September. Never the less, I have already lined up a quote from another contractor. If I accept the bid, the project will not start until late August/ early September, which is perfectly fine with me. The below response from the business owner only confirms my review of Purdy Construction.

I've used Investor Renovations three times now for work I needed done to my house; and every time I've been more than happy with the service and the finished product. Darrell is great. He takes the time to go over what you need done and even offers inputs and suggestions based on his experience. After meeting with him he promptly provided a thorough estimate with cost breakdowns and worked with me to help meet my budget. He has access to all types of contractors too, so it's like one stop shopping for all your home renovation needs. His team works hard and gets the job done fast, all while providing great quality work. Darrell then does a thorough check and corrects any issues he finds (even the ones you didn't notice). His team even comes back promptly to correct issues well after the work was completed and paid for! Good luck finding other contractors that do that. I strongly recommend Investor Renovations to anyone looking to having work done on their house. They raise the bar on the level of service you receive from contractors, and I wouldn't use anyone else for my home projects.
