    Smoothed and leveled subfloor.

Great communication, reasonable, and quick! They did some leveling of uneven floor to prep for LVP.

9/27: removal of old stucco and installing the inside fence.

***Because my house project will take a few days to complete, this will be a long review as I will summarize each days event. **I reached out to a few construction companies via Yelp to checkout and give us an estimate for our house project. We needed to replace the top of a window frame approximately 48" long because of dry rot. We live in a two-story house, so this frame could be connected to the houses' support beam. We also have mold on the dry wall inside the room which the window is connected to. Vitaliy came over and assess the work that needed to be done and to give us his quote. It was a very reasonable price, and lower than any other contractors that made their visit, so I was a little hesitant, until reading the yelp reviews. Ultimately, the decision was made by my father in law. Vitaliy said the job will take 2 days to complete. I really anticipate 4 days, assuming weather is good during the time. Also, I know he'll subcontract others to do some work. *I must note, like any contractor will tell you that you can anticipate extra charges due to when they really start digging in and tearing the place apart. IE: if they start removing the dry wall and noticed there is more damage inside then what they initially visually examined. 9/25: Vitaliy showed up the time he said he was going to. After a few signed paperwork, they started to work right away. Vitality asked if we wanted to replace the window, so my father in law agreed to it. They spent the whole day, but the new window is installed. 9/27: They showed up the time they said they were to work on the application of stucco on the outside of the house. They removed the old stucco and put the fence and material between the walls. Thus far they left for the day with the fence (as pictured) exposed. 9/28: No one showed up. Though there was no communication on whether or not someone will be in or not. Weather is not an issue as it was perfect with clear skies. 9/29: Someone showed up early to complete the outside stucco. I received a call shortly after about tomorrow's plan: Complete the outside (paint/stucco) and start on the inside (mold/wall removal). 9/30: They showed up at the time they said they would and a team worked on mold inside one of the rooms. They did a good job today. I believe all that needs to be done is painting and the final touches. Not sure when anyone will be back or what really needs to be done, but I'm assuming no one will be over tomorrow (sunday). 10/2: No one came over or called. I guess I'll have to call tomorrow 10/3: I got a call from Vitaliy around 7:30am. He said the guys will be over soon to work on the outside stucco. He also mentioned that tomorrow, another team will finish the outside and inside of the room. Hopefully the project will be done. The team came over around 9am and been working on the outside frame and stucco pretty much the whole work day. The frame is styrofoam with a cement coating. It feels pretty solid. Yes, there will be no future rotting, but is it weather proof? Will it last? I don't know as time will tell. 10/4: Someone came by around 930am to spend the whole day painting the outside and inside of the room. He matched the colors and went to Home Depot for the paint. He also installed the interior trim of the room. He cleaned up well after himself as he left. OVERALL (1): So it took about 7 working days to complete, more than double what I anticipated and triple of what I've been told. I felt the workers did a good job. The thing thing that was majorly lacking was communication. Like it was fortunate that I came down with the cold so I was home sick for the first half of the project. The other days I had plans that I canceled to stay at the house so the work can be done. Note this is my review, even though my in-laws are paying for the project. Though I'd always asked my in laws if anyone from Power Up contacted them during this process. It would appear that the contact was always made through me. I hope to update this review as the last few pictures shows that the work is incomplete due to bad misalignment of the outside trim as it is not fully flushed with the house. ***UPDATE:*** 10/9: Vitaliy showed up himself to complete the 'unfinished' business that was shown in some of my pictures... He is filling the gap from the outside trim (pictured) and will comeback in a few days to match the end trim pieces. He wants all his customers to be happy, of course, so He puts in the time. 10/13: Vitaliy showed up with lumber in hand to make the trim proportional to the rest of the trim. All that needs to be done is the paint which he will get to next week. I'll have updated pictures when that happens. Great and speedy work this morning.

Vitality and his team did an amazing and timely job on our first ever kitchen remodel. They were quick to fix any mistakes (only one!) and Vitality was responsive the entire time when we had concerns or questions via text and phone -- we felt in good hands that we were able to reach out whenever we had questions and expect an instant response. They carried out our design vision perfectly and were patient with us when it came to deciding on parts that we never even considered as we remodeled our kitchen. We are first time homeowners so we are grateful for the smooth remodel. Bonus: Most contractors refused to assemble + install IKEA cabinets for us but Vitality's team actually used to contract for IKEA so we were also super relieved when we found them! Overall, we highly recommend this team, especially if you are doing IKEA kitchens. The entire remodel took about or under 6 weeks. Photos attached.

Vitaliy and his team recently completed a few big projects for us - a complete kitchen remodel, replacing the flooring and baseboards throughout most of our house, and moving an awkwardly placed interior door to a better spot in the wall. If you are looking for an experienced licensed contractor who is pleasant to work with, has excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and incredible attention to detail, go with Powerup Construction! I would trust them with any remodeling project. We had a great experience from start to finish. Vitaliy helped us plan the layout of our kitchen cabinets, listened to our ideas for the kitchen and offered ideas and suggestions to make it even better (under cabinet lighting, extending the cabinets/counter to add a peninsula with an outlet, etc.). After the initial meeting, he quickly provided a detailed and reasonable quote. When we met to go over the contract, he went over each and every detail and made sure to answer any questions I had. The crew arrived on time every day that they were here, and I was always kept updated on who would be at our house and when. They were all pleasant, respectful, and did a fantastic job! I was not able to be present for a large part of the project, but felt confident that our house was in good hands. Vitaliy did a great job keeping me updated via text, phone calls, and FaceTime to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted. Example: when they were replacing the light box, he put blue tape on the ceiling and sent me photos so I could approve the new can light locations. Another example of these guys going above and beyond: after our tile backsplash went in, we realized we had forgotten to ask them to remove and tile over an old phone jack that was no longer needed. It wasn't a big deal - they could've just put a blank plate over it. Instead, Vitaliy offered to send someone over to replace a few tiles for us. Eugene did a beautiful job and now the backsplash is perfect! Overall we are very pleased with their work and would recommend them to anybody. We look forward to working with them again on future projects!

    Remodeled kitchen

Vitaly and his crew did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel and flooring replacement through out the house. The work was done in March right as COVID lockdowns began and we were a little worried about getting stuck without a kitchen for months, but Vitaly assured us he would get it done and he did in the timeframe as quoted. The work done included installing vinyl plank flooring, new cabinetry, recessed lighting, installing a range hood, and tile backsplash. Everyone on the crew was very professional and they never showed up late. Communication was excellent and Vitaly was always responsive to our phone calls. As problems arouse during construction, due to uneven walls or other house quirks, we were always notified and presented with a solution. I would defiantly recommend and work with Powerup Construction in the future.

    5x8' bathroom looks great.

We have lived in our home for 12 years and were looking for a reliable contractor to remodel our entire home. We plan to be in this home for a long time and really needed someone who would show the care and attention to our home. We interviewed several contractors and Joe with CB Homes matched our communication style and genuine care for the work performed. We planned to move out of our home due to the large scope of the project and needed someone we could trust and rely on without us being inside the house. Joe proved to be reliable and trustworthy. The remodel process was smooth from start to finish, and the final outcome exceeded our expectations. What really impressed us is how well everything has held up over time. After months of daily use, the cabinets, countertops, finishes, and overall craftsmanship still look fantastic. Nothing feels rushed or cheaply done -- the quality and durability truly stand out. You can tell Joe takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Our kitchen is now more functional, beautiful, and comfortable than we imagined. It's rare to find a contractor who delivers both excellent service and lasting quality, but Joe absolutely did. I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!
