Delivery. Arrived 10 minutes or so outside the estimated range. Cheese is lukewarm and no longer melty, and sauce is actually cold to the touch. Dry and stiff slice (see pic), and there's a weird veggie taste to the sauce. The mozzarella sticks unfortunately apear to be the generic, mass-produced, tiny frozen ones - zero stretch to the mozzarella and no discernable taste. I've never understood why nearly every single pizzeria uses this same disgraceful product instead of making their mozz sticks from scratch - they take minimal effort/ingredients and the spike in quality from frozen to housemade is very noticeable. I'm guessing the big cheese distributors just throw them in with the orders. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 in case this was a fluke. read more

I used to visit this place everyday after school for pizza. Now as a woman close to 30, I miss it daily and will definitely be making a trip to AQ soon! The staff is very nice and the food is delicious. read more

It's okay, over price, quality was substandard,...can't say much...just ate half a pizza

I have been going to this pizzeria for over a decade. Pizza pies are delicious and fresh. Garlic knots are definitely the best in Astoria. The staff are fast and really nice. I love this place!! read more

See all

Love this place. My wife and I order here pretty regularly. Not only is the pizza, wings, knots, and other menu items here as delicious as we've had, but the workers are friendly and remember you, and make it a very inviting place. Definitely will continue to be regular customers as long as Piazza Pizza is around. read more

I must say, as a Chef; this Linguine and White Clam Sauce was on point. I have not eaten such a good pasta dish in a while, besides my own. Even though, I added Oregano for color and some Onion Powder with Himalayan Salt. But, Great job on this dish; I will definitely order it again. read more

this place is great. period. How can you tell a good pizza joint? order a spinich - garlic - mushroom pizza. Two of the three ingredients can easily over-wet a pie, but they produce a pie that is perfectly dry, flavorful and fresh. Crust is the right thickness, not too much cheese, but enough to satisfy this Midwest boy, fast and friendly service. The sandwiches KILL. Overall a hidden gem that is well worth seeking out. Ironically, my girlfriend and I decided to try out another local pizza place that had reviews and ratings plastered all over their menu...turns out to be a terrible, expensive mistake! read more

Pizza at this place is just OUTSTANDING. The specialty slices are unbelievable and the service is as great as the food. When you're looking for some good pizza, Piazza's will rock your world. They deliver too! This place has the whole package!!! read more

I want to begin by stressing this place runs the table with gentleman's 4.5 (if you check in with the Swiss judge) but I didn't want to round up because I was raised better than that. This place isn't just friendly and chill and speedy, the pizza is great! Not the same caliber as some of the finer pizzeria's in Manhattan and Brooklyn but it ain't trying to be, neither...a little bit thicker crust with a great selection of toppings for a reasonable price. ALSO - I've tried maybe three or four of the specialty slices and they haven't missed with one yet. Solid work, fellas. read more

Solid spot, not the best but definitely still good. I recommend the chicken cutlet slice , a plain slice, or the amazing buffalo chicken garlic knots which are literally out of this world . See a bunch of bad reviews from snobby people who probably grew up in another state eating sh*t pizza. Never had a problem with this place will always visit when around the area. read more

The pizza at Piazza's is very plain and unenjoyable. I didn't like it the first time I came here and the second time I figured i'd give it another try mostly because I was stuck waiting for someone for an hour and was dying of hungry. I won't make that mistake again. If you have to eat here look for the super cheesiest, sauciest, decked out topping pizza to order to cover up how bland their ingredients are. read more

Severe case of food poisoning from the chicken parmesan on Wednesday 04/21/10. Dont eat here, simple as that.

Ordered on seamless. The pizza was good, however the order took over two hours to arrive. We ordered at 5:45pm, our estimated delivery time was 6:30-6:40. After calling the restaurant four times, our food eventually arrived at 8pm. The restaurant did not do anything to try and rectify the situation, simply just stated that "they had a lot of deliveries." I'll get my pizza elsewhere from now on. read more

I ate here at least once a week.. they used to customize a salad for me after i'd stop in on my way from the gym. Grilled chopped chicken with loads of veggies. their pizza is decent and a pie is pretty cheap. great service and fresh ingredients. nothing to write home to Mom about but for a local pizza pit, definitely ranks high compared to other local joints. read more

This is our local pizza joint. It's the perfect, no frills NY Pizza. I especially love the white pizza, the seasoning is just perfect! The cheese pizza is also perfect, thin, great sauce and just the right seasoning. No only is this place delicious but the staff is wonderful! They know us and make us feel like we are in a small town joint. I highly recommend this place for a great slice! read more

the worst lasagna everrrr please avoid this place and go down one ave to Retro pizza. read more

Piazza Pizza - The worst lasagna in Astoria . Avoid this place please...... - Pizza Near Me - Astoria, New York

Stop: Do NOT get pizza from anywhere else in Astoria. This is it. They're speedy, mondo-filling, a classic slice of New York. Try the chicken or white pie. My God. Rinse. Repeat. Enjoy. read more

Great pizza! I had a the white pizza and the tomato basil mozzarella slice. Both were absolutely wonderful, but a little on the greasy side. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but still pretty great. Because of the greasiness, I wouldn't eat it everyday....maybe every other day :-) read more

I Just moved to Astoria recently and Im checking out spots in the area for the good pricing and foods. along with many other things here. Tried this spot once and cant stop ordering the food is right. Tried the back Ziti my fav and then the pepporini pizza and rolls. I give this high 5 the spots right. read more

Ordered a sandwich that came out wrong. Waited a while as they made a new one, it somehow came out more wrong than the first time. Awful waste of money. read more

This is my go to place in Astoria for pizza, as it's the closest place to me and it's delicious. It's a simple pizza place with a good variety of foods. Most of the food is the typical food you will fine at any good NYC pizza place (Garlic Knots, zeppole, eggplant rolls). The pizza itself is great, typical NYC slice, not to thin or think, good sauce and cheese. I enjoy the pasta dishes, they are cheap, huge and very tasty, often slightly overcooked though. The vodka sauce is rich and delicious. They also have a few Mexican items such as burrito's I have yet to try. The guys working there are very nice. Recommended for pasta and pizza. read more

I'm not much of a pizza fan but when we ordered a pizza from Piazza Pizza, I was HOOKED. It's like crack. I'm a minimalist when it comes to pizza: regular extra crispy. It's perfect every time and the delivery is extremely quick. GO GO GO! read more

Couldn't ask for a better local pizza joint!

One of the best pizza joints in the hood. Nothing fancy or groundbreaking just solid slices and friendly service. There are at least two other pizzerias closer to me but I pass them over for Piazza. read more

Mediocre. We were in a pasta mood and Piazza was the only place that had everything we wanted all on the same menu. And it is a broad menu - but what it has in variety, it lacks in quality. Everything we ordered was just ok, nothing inspiring. And it didn't heat up well as leftovers. read more

I love this place, the owner and the workers. All all truly great people. The pizza here is outstanding. I always get a slice of my choice, alongside a chicken wrap that they carry and I ask them to stuff it with extra cheese and pepperonis. Love it! read more

Definitely try the square slice with tomato mozz and basil, it's fantastic. The others are good, but that's the best I've had so far. I've always take it out but it seems like a chill place to hang out and eat. Their fried dough bites are awesome too. Nothing crazy good, but above average. read more

Just ordered a slice which was nothing short of delcious. The guy at the front was nice. Definitely go here

I've been coming here for years, and it's one of my favorite local pizza joints. They serve a no-nonsense, New York City slice. Also, the people who work there are very chill. I've never had a negative experience from this place! read more

Always look forward to being back in town for the place that made me appreciate white pizza and zeppoles. Years ago, saddest days of my life were thinking they had closed, until I was told a few days later that they just moved down the street. read more

It was so disgusting that we couldn't even finish eating the pizza. We never ate the pasta, completely inedible. I would never order from there again. read more

It took forever for our order to come. 45 minutes AFTER the estimated delivery time. When the pizza finally got here it was ice cold. This isn't the first time either. I gave it a few more tries, thinking the past were flukes. But nope. This is just their thing I guess. read more

Not your average pizza joint! This pizza joint is right around the block from me. Prices are reasonable as well. Everything I've eaten has tasted fresh. The place is bright and clean and the workers were friendly and helpful each time. The one menu item that I tried and didn't like was the burrito (yes, I ordered a burrito at a pizza place = fail), it was skimpy and bland. read more

I started eating here about a year ago when I moved near Steinway. At that time the food was decent and cheep. It has been going down hill since then. The pizza crust is too thick and can't be folded once they reheat it. It just cracks. So since their Italian food stinks I figured I would try their Mexican food. I cannot discourage the reader enough; never order a burrito from Piazza Pizza. You will regret it. read more

For standard NY-style fold-and-eat, this place is the best I have found in all of Queens, and only one place in Manhattan is better (Francesco's, UWS). The owner frequently works there at night and everyone is very friendly. It's just your basic, no frills, pizza-by-the-slice place, but among those, this place takes the pie! read more

First off the only reason I'm even giving this place one star is because the delivery was super fast and prompt. I ordered just a basic plain cheese pizza and let me tell you it was the absolute worst pizza I have ever tasted. I don't know what these people use as far as spices go but my boyfriend said their pizza tasted like the bottom of a shoe, aka rubber. There was hardly any sauce on the pizza and if there was it's like they drained it of all the spices. I don't understand how a place like this is still in business. DO NOT I repeat do not eat their pizza. read more

Three stars, only because the pizza is great. DO NOT ORDER A VEGGIE WRAP!!! It was inedible because it was literally swimming in grease. The wrap was soaked through with oil and I could pour it out into a puddle. So disgusting. read more

The restaurant itself is a nice little shop, but the food was all right. I got a caesar salad and a meatball sub. The salad was very good, but the sub was all right. I wouldn't recommend the netball sub here, not much sauce or flavor to the meatballs read more

Great pizza. Also great pat as such as pasta with vodka sauce and spaghetti and clams. Super friendly and quick service.

I ordered from here off of GrubHub when my boyfriend and I wanted sort of 'mom and pop' pizza instead of dominos or pizza hut, like we usually get. I am super happy we did. The pizza was good, but the wings? Can't speak highly enough of them! we seriously love the wings because of whatever sauce they use. Can't speak for customer service because I always order online, but I can only speak for food and i think they're great. read more
