Animal Lovers Pizza (Personal Pi Pan) (No Gluten Free Options)
Christopher L.

A great pizza place in a nice spot that also has a lounge. You order at the counter, take a number, and they will bring out your food. The animal lover had lots of toppings with a light sauce and was great. The Margherita was very flavorful with fresh ingredients. There was no bad option but I preferred the Margherita. Overall there are a lot of options here and wouldn't mind trying more soon.

Cute, cozy booths!

Delicious pizza (and much more that I look forward to trying), so many pizza options, good selection of cocktails, cozy bar, and cozy booths. So cute. Perfect place. Love of course, that it is entirely vegan.

Have been to Pi Vegan several times now and considering its vegan, it may be a bit cliche to say but it is some good pizza considering this fact. Pi Vegan is popular, particularly on weekends so it's best to call ahead if you're picking up. If not, you can expect a 30-45-minute wait. I've had several pies including the Thai, Pesto and veggie but the best without a doubt I've had is the Magic Mac (Mike style). It's so 'cheezy' and fits well as a topping. I've also had their cheez bread and chikin salad both good. The staff are always pleasant even when it's busy and the pizzas have thus far in my visits have come out good. Only thing about Pi Vegan is that like most vegan cuisines, it's expensive the specialty pies start at about $26-$30 and the appetizers all start at $12. So, unless you're really craving pizza, and of the vegan variety be prepared to shell out a little extra. It's worth a try though even if you don't usually eat Vegan.

The guys working today were so sweet and helpful!! Loved the pizza!! I wish we had one of these by my place!!! Delicious!! Cool space with semi private booths. Definitely a place I'll come back to for more vegan pizza!!!

Pizza by the slice!

The pizzas here are delicious. I don't typically go for vegan restaurants, but I was with a group of friends who were all vegan, and decided to try it. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. It's cute inside like little diner vibes. I will definitely be coming back here.

Enjoyed the Supremely Vegan pizza while watching the Mariners and Seahawks games broadcast on the screens in the bar area. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was casual.

Inside was clean, the bathroom was also clean! The staff was very friendly, the only problem I had was the small to-go boxes were too short for me to reach, but that's me being under 5 ft haha! Pizza itself was super yummy!!! I didn't think I'd finish it all but I did, the buffalo bleu was amazing! Crust was delicious, sauce was creamy, cheese was cheesing. The "chicken" is soy which I personally love soy meat, and the blue cheese was blue cheesin!

Love their 'bigger' location! Lots of tables with a bar in the back. Order at the counter. Pizza by the slice. While pizzas. Even dessert pies! We got their popular mac & cheese pizza. It's heavy, defense, lots of carbs and cheese. Probably try something more traditional next time. Overall excellent plant based vegan pizza!!

Cheesy Bread

Ambiance: Lots of booths that feel very tucked away. Service: Super friendly, we were able to make swaps on the specialty pizzas without a problem. Food: - Cheesy bread: This is basically a pizza with cheese and plant based fats, the sauces definitely round it out. We ate a lot because we were hungry! It does start to feel a bit greasy and heavy on the stomach after a bit. 4/5 - Thai Pizza: This was the favorite of the night, the sauce is a creamy white one, the pineapples add a nice sweetness and the peanut sauce adds depth of flavor and rich nuttiness. We joked though that it is just the inspired pizza- not sure the combos would be found in any that dish, still lovely though. 5/5 - BBQ Sauce Pizza: I found this one to be rather dry, and the BBQ sauce to be really really sweet. It just was not my flavor palate. 2/5 This place had been on my radar but hadn't gone, having a friend who makes their own pizzas, and being not the hugest fan of faux meats. It is pricey, but pretty on par for Seattle prices. It's nice to be able to order a large pizza and make it a half and half to try more options- it's around $36. And huge support for more v options! Next to try: I hear pesto and sunny day are interesting!

Supremely vegan pizza, hold the bell pepper

Pi Vegan Pizzeria was our first Seattle stop during our recent PNW vegan eating tour. I don't know Seattle super well but it felt like we were slightly off the beaten path; however, that could simply be because it was surprisingly easy to park, which was a huge relief after a 4-hour drive from Portland. Once inside, my daughter and I we were met with an old-school pizza parlor vibe. I remember a place that felt just like this when I lived in L.A. in the 80s...all that was missing was the sawdust on the floor. We placed our order at the counter and chose a booth. The way the booths are built makes each one feel like a tiny private area. Our beer and cider arrived quickly from the adjacent bar. Next came our Caesar salad, which was fresh and crunchy with plenty of dressing. I like a lot of dressing on my salads. Then the pizza. We ordered Pi's version of a supreme without the green bell pepper because we are not savages. I know I like a pizza when I eat all my crust. I ate all my crust this day, partially because the dough tasted good but also because the sauce went almost all the way to the edge, which I also like. I don't like it when there's a huge margin of naked crust and all the toppings are concentrated in the middle. There was little to no naked crust on this pizza. The sausage and pepperoni gave everything you would want sausage and pepperoni to give on a pizza. I'm not vegan, but I can tell this is a good time to be a plant-based eater because there are some really great meat substitutes available now. I especially liked the cheese. I actually don't care for mozzarella all that much because I find it somewhat flavorless. This cheese actually tasted cheesier to me than "real" mozzarella and the texture was nicely melty. We agreed that Pi is a solid place to grab a pizza and would definitely return to try their other specialty creations!

Magic Mac Pizza and Pesto Pizza pizza with Caesar Salad and Breadstix Saucy Sampler
Andrea B.

Awesome vegan pizza! My group ordered a large pizza, half Magic Mac and half Pesto Pi. The mac and cheese on the pizza was delicious and creamy. The faux meats were very good too. The Caesar salad was what you'd expect, but didn't feel like it was worth the price. My non-vegan friend the dressing was a bit thinner than a non-vegan version, but it was still good. The bread sticks saucy sampler comes with 4 sauces - marinara, pesto, garlic, and ranch. All the sauces were great! The marinara had a touch of spice to it. If you come on your own, this is good enough as a little meal, honestly. The restaurant itself is cozy and definitely a spot I could see myself hanging out at. There is a little bar area to the side of the main dining area. There are some games available to borrow. Bathrooms are single stall and clean. If you are not with a group or in a rush, definitely order ahead. Our wait time was 1 hour. The pizza topping combos on the menu were fun and unique in addition to the classics. The special of the month was a cheeseburger pizza with pickles, which is just too adventurous for m

Sunny Day Pizza (Large)
Sindu K.

It's a great homey vegan pizza place. I wasn't expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a great menu with a lot of options and I went for sunny day pizza. It was very delicious, the crust was really good, one thing I would like better is if this pizza had some more flavor and a little less of the cashew ricotta. The staff is super nice and friendly, would come back again. There is only street parking nearby but not very difficult to find.

Awesome food, great people. All vegan and all amazing. Don't skip this ! Finding great vegan pizza can be a challenge. They nailed it. Great Pizza is a religious experience. It transcends mere food. This is among the best I have ever had!

Outside food is welcome, the ballgame's on the tube, and you can play shuffleboard and other stuff to wile away the hours. Regular trivia nights and other events. Wines, ciders, seltzers, and candy also available. In long When he first started selling beers, he made a lot of saisons. For some of us, those dry, funky Belgians are where your palate finds home after trying every beer style. Only some of us, though. They can be hard to sell after a while, especially these days. So now the lineup here runs to lots of gorgeous, refreshing lagers, some explosively-flavorful hoppy stuff, and the occasional big chewy high-abv ale. For a saison whore like me, this is kinda like learning Michelangelo doesn't paint anymore, he just gets down with sculpture now. Not a tragedy by any means, but we still feel the absence. But why are saisons not the huge seller that IPAs are? Well, in part, 'cause old heads like me cut out beer. I did, anyway. I came out of retirement yesterday afternoon to try Nick's beers 'cause they had a Washington Cheese release event at the brewery yesterday. (Can't wait to try those, by the way). I checked out a landbier, german pils, west coast pils, and a hazy IPA. All wonderful, refreshing, and without flaw. We had a couple other beers at the table, along with a seltzer and wine. There's nothing here I wouldn't have again. The space is a good size--seating here, bar back there, brewhouse off to one side, more seating up the ramp in back. They had the Olympics on the flat screens and projector. There are board games and cards near the bar, and shuffleboard upstairs. This was another brewery before, and that brewery put in the shuffleboard table and at least some of the brew equipment. You can still see the name of the old brewery here and there. L&L is an even better source of beer IMO. Somewhat infamously, this space was also a funky dive bar and a, uh, gentleman's club in decades gone by. No trace of either of them remain. The folks who run this place are friendly and fun, and there aren't too many places making beer this good. They even have a great knack for designing cool labels (all done in house!). Highly recommended.

There are several beers and some ciders on tap from all around and all the ipa's I've tried here have been pretty decent. from there you grab your brew and have a seat at high top tables within the tap room. Again, the setting is mid-sized good for a couple groups of four and a few two person tables. Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. Perhaps on subsequent visits It will improve, and I can boost the score here, but besides the decent beers and setting, it's just OK here.

It's been a while since I was at Human People Beer and I am just getting around to writing a review…read morefor it now. There isn't any good reason for it other than back log of reviews and I like to mix up my outings a bit and so the order I post reviews isn't always strictly chronological. Steve's and my experience with Human People Beer has been great! We have had their beer a few different times and we were always very highly impressed and I rated the ones I have had very highly on Untappd. Human People Beer also has a cafe where they serve food. I haven't had a significantly large meal here but the snack I had was fantastic. I will cover the beers first before proceeding to the food as I am a total beer nerd. One beer we had and loved was Neighbors. This is a Kolsch style beer and a great one! I found it very refreshing a great one to drink! Things to detect and have fun with in the flavor profile are maltiness, citrus, a great crispness and a clean finish. The mouthfeel with this one is very nice. Easily a favorite! The next beer I had was the Magick. This was a Hazy Pale Ale. I liked this one too. Perhaps not one I would classify as a favorite but a good one all the same. In the flavor look for elements of grapefruit, hoppiness, citrus and other fruitiness. It's an easy drinking beer where you could easily have more than one. Another beer that became an instant favorite for me was the Heavy Connection. This beer is a Brown Ale. I do enjoy getting this beer typed from time to time and this one proved to be a great return in having this beer again! With this beer look for flavors of coffee, maltiness, hazelnut and a breadiness. This beer is on the richer side but it is so, so good! The other beer that we have had... also a favorite( I am easily going to have lots of favorites here) was the Piknik Pilsner. I do love pilsners and it's so, so great having a really well made one. And this one definitely excels at being a good one! In the flavor profile it is roasty, bitter and crisp. The beer is aromatic and smooth. Another good one! And now onto the food. As I said I only had one item off of the food menu and feel like it was more on the snacky end of things but it was so, so good which really pushes my star rating hard in five star territory. I had Tahini Toast. It's something you don't see often and I haven't had it often but on occasions that I did I really liked it! With Human People you and this particular toast you get tahini, peanut butter, wildflower honey along with fresh fruit. It was so good that I fell in love with it madly! I feel like Human People Beer puts out a strong quality product in their food and drink and I look forward to more dining and drinking excursions with them!

I've been following Lisa @bamepopup on Instagram for so long -- I was enticed by she way she makes everything from scratch and the food did not disappoint! I ordered the Banh Canh, Banh Uot, and Che Chuoi for dessert. The Banh Canh was the perfect balance of savory, spicy, and homey -- think spicy udon noodle soup with homemade noodles and a perfectly simmered broth. The Banh Uot was satisfying and refreshing -- imagine thin rice cakes with fresh herbs, cucumbers, and a savory meat filling. The Che Chuoi was the perfect dessert. Slightly sweet, salty, and savory with a coconut and nutty topping. Although the vibe is pretty fast casual, I loved watching Lisa check in and connect with other guests while we dined. It's super clear that this goes beyond food for her; it's a passion and a way to connect with other folks. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I'll definitely be back. Whether you're new to Vietnamese cuisine or a familiar friend, I highly recommend visiting Lisa at Ba & Me for your next fix. It truly feels like home!

Originally opened in 1934, the Blue Moon carries the kind of atmosphere you cannot recreate -- walls covered in decades of music, art, stickers, photographs, and stories. A dimly lit room packed with musicians, writers, artists, and people who genuinely appreciate creativity in its raw form. Throughout the night, the stage moved between live music, poetry, and performances from local artists while the crowd filled the tavern from the bar to the stage floor. Places like this remind me why independent art still matters. As an author traveling all over the United States -- and as someone who lived in the Seattle area for 2 1/2 years -- standing on that stage reading poetry from Purple Rose in a venue with this much history behind it was really something special. What I loved most was how welcoming the environment was. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly, art-friendly space where people genuinely support one another. If you are brand new to open mics or nervous about sharing your work for the first time, this is the kind of place where you will absolutely be shown kindness and encouragement. There were so many talented musicians, poets, and performers there, and you could really feel the appreciation for creativity throughout the room. The setup of the tavern itself is awesome. The stage and seating area wrap around the bar in almost a U-shape, so you can really choose your own vibe for the night. If you want to stay close to the performances and music, there is a dance floor and table area near the stage. If you want something more relaxed, you can hang back near the bar, have a drink, and still enjoy the atmosphere without being directly in the middle of everything. They also have a full bar, arcade games, board games, books to read, and even a small library on the shelves throughout the tavern. Somewhere inside, you may even find a signed copy of Purple Rose that I left hidden and dedicated to the historic Blue Moon itself. Beautiful evening with wonderful people. If you are ever in the area and have a skill you would love to share, go share your art. Find your copy of Purple Rose at JamesVThePoet.com

I, my wife, and her friend stopped by for New Year's Drinks around 6, and about 6:30 or so, made the mistake of asking Tim Duvall, the clearly drunken before 7:00 PM owner of the establishment, whether outside food can be brought into the bar. This led to his regaling us with an extended and utterly unsolicited history of the bar. He then invited himself to sit with us, halfway into the seat before slurring a "Can I sit down?" to insert himself into our booth. We then moved to another unsolicited conversation, this time about politics. Now, to be clear - I have no doubt that I and a sober Tim Duvall probably agree on most of our politics. This did not stop him from berating me as I agreed with his point, loudly escalating and yelling as I tried to agree with him (again... to be clear, I DIDN'T disagree his political view) until he stood and began yelling that I was kicked out. As I stood to talk on him, he became VERY comfortable with putting his hands on me, grabbing my sweatshirt to move me. I was NOT about to challenge that as a Black man new to Seattle that doesn't know how the police would handle things. I need to be very specific about how quickly this man felt comfortable touching me, grabbing my sweater to "drag" me. This is the step that is WAY over the line. I would genuinely like to recommend this place, as I'm looking for bars that offer sugar cane soda. Drunken ownership- in the early evening in New Year's - that feels comfortable being handsy with Black folk is far too much. AVOID at all costs.
