Figgy piggy
Becky L.

If I've had a better pizza before, I certainly couldn't remember it while I was eating this one. Wow, guys! So grateful to have tried this truck at a local event tonight. Top rate pizza made to order from a truck. We got the figgy piggy to split and a cheese for my kids. Kids devoured, even the crust. Such wildly delicious flavor, amazing crust, amazing product. Get these guys a storefront! Can't wait to have again.

4th and inches

Imagine this -- it's a Saturday afternoon, you just get done running errands, and start deciding what you will be having for dinner. As you go over options, you pull out your phone and start the old "hmm what sounds good?". You then get distracted and begin to start checking social media, because, well we all know this happens. As you're mindlessly scrolling through social media, you see a post about a food truck. You notice the food truck will be conveniently visiting your apartment complex in just a few hours -- and even better, the first 20 or so customers will get free pizza. Well, this was the exact situation I found myself in yesterday. I hardly turn down anything that will be free, and when I learned I could have free pizza, needless to say, I was very excited. Thus, I threw on my coat and headed out the door! This food truck is unlike any I had seen -- and in a good way. It has a large glass pane on one entire side so you can see right in as they prepare and cook the pizzas. The menu has 8 different types of pizzas, with choices from vegetarian to meat lovers. They also have a create-your-own option if you want to build one from scratch. I ordered the "4th and inches" pi, which has mozzarella and goat cheeses, 'garlic heaven sauce', sweet baby rays bbq sauce, bacon, sausage, onions, pepperonis, roasted tomatoes and rosemary on top. My girlfriend decided to go the less adventurous route and went with a basic cheese pizza. We then watched them prepare our pis and toss them in the wood fire oven, that had a temperature of 590 degrees. They were ready to go after about 10-15 minutes. My pi was exceptional, and had a ton of different flavors. The crust was also cooked just right -- the perfect level of crunch without being over-done. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her cheese pizza. What's nice is that they are both personal pans, which was just the right size. Needless to say, after going from not knowing what to have for dinner, to getting free pizza that tasted delicious -- I was thoroughly delighted. To find out where this food truck is going, follow their facebook page. Not going to be around your area? No problem -- they also have a spot inside the Sunking brewery in midtown Carmel. Now go get your pi on!

My subdivision had Pi Indy come out for a pizza night on a Wednesday evening. They were ready for orders at 5:00pm and the event was over at 7:30pm. I ordered the Meat Lovers, but I've heard good things about the Figgy Piggy. Pizza was made fresh. Staff was friendly. Good food. Good service.

Pi Indy's Figgy Piggy (Fig jam, goat cheese, prosciutto, bacon, mushrooms, arugula, lots of gluten)
Claire J.

Pi Indy (and specifically, the Figgy Piggy) was the highlight of an outdoor work event this fall - a colleague had contracted Pi Indy to serve all event attendees, and, team, my pizza was so GOOD! I ordered the Figgy Piggy - which was goat cheese, prosciutto, bacon (hello, double meats!), arugula, and mushrooms. I'll admit that I'm a little obsessed with figs, which made this pizza a natural winner, but the friend I shared this pie with doesn't have the same inclination and still loved it. I could also rave about its wood-fired flavor and super puffy crust. One thing I will note is that I needed to wait awhile for my pizza. This was mostly due to how many people were at the event and because the pizzas were made fresh to order. It was definitely #worththewait.

Veggie pizza + fig jam no cheese!!!!

Ok... so firstly and foremost....yaaaasss!!! So I am an event planner by night, HR professional by day and I stumbled upon Pi Indy as one of our clients ordered their food truck for a rehearsal dinner = brilliant! So anyways, we were invited to indulge and man did I indulge!!! First of all, the breadsticks are everything... Literally EV-VEERYthing! Second, I got the veggie pizza and added the fig jam and that was a fabulous choice! Y'all I was so shocked by the deliciousness in every bite - the sweet/salty taste with the slight Firestone baked crust... (insert yum emoji, happy face emoji, lick yo lips emoji here)!!! This was a GREAT experience! Good service + good pizza = 5 stars!!!

You know it's bad when you are starving but it's so bad you throw it away. My husband did. I just was so hungry I had to bear through it. Not sure if it deteriorated during the Grubhub delivery but it was a hot mess. Never again.

Pineapple Express

Pi Indy is hands down the best pizza that I've had in the Indianapolis Area. They feature so many unique combinations. My personal favorite is the Pineapple Express. And guess what? It doesn't have marinara. They have options even on the sauces. A regular size specialty pizza is roughly $12. The crust is hand tossed but closer to the thin side. They toss it into the wood-fire oven and soon your toasty but still soft pizza is on it's way to you. They had an issue with the online ordering not going through to the printer this last time I went in, but they quickly got my order into the oven and brought it out to me as I waited at a table. They have always had great service whenever I have stopped by, which is at least twice a month.

Indiana Corn Pi pizza

About 5 years ago, the food truck scene in Indy was exploding. Everywhere you looked, there was a food truck. There was always a new one, and there were always lines. Flash forward to current day. The number of new food trucks has slowed considerably, and some of the popular ones have started to disappear. It's been awhile since I've seen a new one.. Until yesterday when I ran into Pi Indy. I arrived a tad early for an event at Union Brewing in Carmel and wanted to grab something to eat beforehand. I had hoped there would be some kind of food I could grab and noticed Pi Indy parked out back along the Monon. Dinner had been decided. Having never seen Pi Indy before, I didn't quite know what to expect. The food truck is a modified shipping container that looks kind of awesome. You can't miss it, that's for sure! I decided on the Indiana Corn Pi ($12). This pizza was amazing with sausage, fresh corn, jalapeno, cheese and a nice and light crust. It was the perfect size for dinner and was absolutely delicious. Definitely a repeat the next time I see them out and about!

This food truck may have just become my favorite food truck in Indy. I visited them twice in the last 7 days. Concept: Clever, love the exposed kitchen; and who doesn't like brick oven pizza Service: They are so freaking nice and entertaining. Prices: Comparable to most food trucks Ingredients: fresh, I can't understand why anyone would choose to eat Papa John's or Dominos...we have Pi. FUN TOPPINGS TOO :) Overall pizza: worthy. My first favorite..Piggy Figgy

Mini-cannoli at GenCon!
Andy K.

Among my food truck stops during my GenCon 2015 tour was a dinner taken at the imposing monolith of Pi. Lucky for me, I managed to catch Pi on one of the off-hours, with the line moving quickly and efficiently. Pi's truck is massive. With two workers in the "pits" taking and serving out orders, the upper deck of the restaurant features numerous cooks plying their trade and a massive stone pizza oven. I hate to wonder what the gas mileage on that truck actually is! But, I'm no car expert. I'm here for the food! And wow...food, glorious food. While Pi wasn't serving pizza that time out, they did offer a phenomenal special: a porchetta sandwich, featuring a pork-belly wrapped marinated pork, coated with a delectable chimichurri sauce. I opted for that without hesitation, adding on an order of mini-cannoli. Oh, man...so good! The sandwich itself was layered with delectable piggy flavor, with the homemade bread providing a perfect backdrop for the chimichurri sauce. My cannoli were sweet (though not over-sweet; the cream cheese filling had a tart bite that was refreshing) and dusted generously with powdered sugar and a drizzle of nutella. Om nom nom, indeed! My only issue with Pi was that a $22 total was a bit much for a food truck in my eyes. While the food was phenomenal--and I don't mind paying for phenomenal food--it's a bit spendy for the setting. My stomach and I don't regret it, though!

Cool concept. Not your typical American pizza. Light on the toppings but still good. Not your usual toppings.

No pizza place from my home state can't compare so Giordano's is always something to look forward to during our 4 day visit. Meat and more meat! This was our table's pizza that was split between 4 people. Honestly can't complain, I love all of their pizza but since we only visit once a year, we always order deep dish style. Never fails and always leaves us full! Carnivore? Then you should definitely order this dish! Make sure it's the biggest one too! Calabrian Chili Honey Chicken Wings Ok so I can't be entirely biased with Giordano's. We wanted to try this out since it was a limited chicken wing flavor and honestly it wasn't the best. I mean it's a pizza joint? They specialize in pizza but we were so hungry that we figured to try it out. Hey, if you love chicken wings or just an enthusiast for wings in general, by all means give this one a shot if it's still available! Overall Always excited to come to Indiana cause I KNOW I'll be eating some damn good pizza. Deep dish style isn't for everyone which is nice that they have their Tavern Style and Thin Crust Pizzas. But since Giordano's specializes in deep dish pizza, it's highly recommended to order deep dish style! can't wait to visit again next year and see what new pizza they'll have! And can't forget about the awesome servers doing their best on those busy convention nights! Y'all the real MVP's! Ambiance is warm and inviting with a bit of high noise since it's also got a bar but it never phases me, if anything it's relaxing since I know I'll be indulging into pizza goodness. Just remember to come hungry and you'll guaranteed to leave happy! See you next year Giordano's!

Vibe: Family-friendly, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere. The décor and layout are really nice. Service: Overall, the customer service isn't the best but isn't the worst. It could use some improvements, but nothing major. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and warm. Food: Really good deep-dish pizza! BIG portions, standout flavors, and superior ingredients. I recommend the Double Pepperoni - you won't be disappointed! Quick Tip: Don't sleep on their sides! The Greek Salad and Calabrian Chili Honey Wings are both top tier!

Now, I'm over 1800 reviews and Yelp has become a huge part of my life. I was attending a nearby event related to Indy Shorts Film Festival and decided I wanted to visit Mass Avenue a bit once the event was over. This was early afternoon. After looking around a bit, I opted for a long-awaited return to Bazbeaux. Of course, a lot has changed in this area in the last few years. Parking prices are up (way up), though it's pretty plentiful with nearby street parking (metered) and parking along Mass Avenue. You also have a couple nearby parking garage options. Finding an accessible spot is fairly easy - curb cuts remain solid in this area and there continue to be some (but not all) crosswalks with audio. As was true nine years ago, accessibility on Mass Avenue can be challenging. That said, I think it has improved. I entered Bazbeaux and immediately noticed some improvement right away. There are two sides - a dining side, a bar side (with tables), and an aisle you can use for carry-out. The interior is warm, calming, and surprisingly intimate. The bar area is a bit louder, it's a bar area after all, but it's still pretty quiet. Service here remains strong. The hostess offered the bar area or a booth. Tables are not all wheelchair friendly, however, there are quite a few accessible options. My server, Samuel, was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. He paced my meal nicely - I ordered garlic bread, my usual unsweetened iced tea (I think they still serve Mighty Leaf - an unusual choice that I love). I ordered a small (10") pizza with one-topping (pepperoni). I lingered a little bit, though not excessively so like my last visit. This time around, I was alone and my meal time was more traditional. The prices were definitely higher than last time, however, what price isn't higher than nine years ago? They were on park with the market these days and I had no issues with it - I think my meal came in at about $19 for the pizza, garlic bread, and iced tea (and I did get my always desired refill). Bazbeaux is unique in that every location (Mass Ave, Broad Ripple, Carmel) is located along the Monon Trail. They all have outside dining options, as well. They serve beer and wine, sandwiches, pizza, and more. One thing I have to say - accessibility is improved. I was noticeably bothered by it the last time I was here. This time around, I was comfortable and could easily function (I did not try the bathroom). While I could still see it being a bit difficult when packed, I arrived at an ideal time and was quite comfortable. The food was good, the service was very good, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful after a busy morning event. It really hit the spot. So, yeah. Last time around, I gave Bazbeaux a 3-star review. This time, I'm forking over that 4th star.

As my slice was being heated in the oven, I had the opportunity to look around as well as admire the pictures near the entrance, which featured memorable sporting moments as well as some with the owner. Giorgio's has an acceptable number of tables with seats in the dining area to give you a chance to enjoy your meal onsite while it is hot and fresh. Prior to tasting my white slice, I could not resist smirking, as I smelt its garlicky smell and glanced at it in my lap which prompted my mouth to salivate. It had a slightly crunchy, yet satisfying taste. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a slice of pizza that will surely leave you satisfied in that moment. In closing, I had a great experience as I have indicated in this review of Giorgio's Pizza. And with that being said, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp.
