I attended the first trivia night on Friday, December 28th from 7:30-10:30pm with my sisters and niece and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We really hope that this is something the owners continue, it's a nice option on a Friday night. Make sure you follow the business on Facebook to stay updated on future events. So this business is in historic Stone Mountain right on Main street. You have lots of free street parking and a lot right across the street from the restaurant. It's a family owned restaurant and the owners had their children assisting with orders, I just loved seeing that and it makes me want to consistently support this small business. During normal business hours you have the option to purchase their gourmet pizza and of course their world famous cheesecake. For trivia night they served up tacos, for $5 you received a raffle ticket for a prize, 1 taco and a beverage....i know, pretty good deal! The tacos were filled with your protein of choice and were very filling. I ordered the shrimp tacos and it was spicy jumbo shrimp on the tortilla... very delicious!! I couldn't dine here without trying their cheesecake so i ordered a turtle cheesecake and it was so creamy and smooth. Two thumbs up and 5 stars, I'm definitely looking forward to trying the other flavors as well as their pizza. Unfortunately, most of the food places are closed on Monday, so we were appreciative to find Pi-bytes open! It's open, airy and has a fun vibe. There's a sofa seating area with games! Just moved here and was told about this place by a friend several times. Black owned dessert shop which is amazing. The owners are very nice and they greet you when you walk in and thank you when you leave. Everything is made from scratch which is a major attraction for me and those who want to know what is in their food. My pizza was great! Coming from NYC, pizza is important to me. This was great with every bite. They make their own teas. I had the blackberry lime basil tea which was served in a carafe and you get a copper cup. Last but certainly not least, the dessert. Nice little independent shop that i've heard a lot about, but never actually stepped into until today. Pi-Bytes serves up "pies" of all kind, from savory to sweet. I walked in and the store owner was rolling out pizza dough to make a calzone fresh for a customer ahead of me. Without skipping a beat, she explained the sweets to me and gave me recommendations on what I should try. FYI, all dessert bytes cost $5 each, plus tax I settled on the Bailey's Bourbon White Chocolate pecan pi-byte ($5). This "bite" comes with real Jim beam bourbon AND Bailey's, but it's such a small amount that it only adds flavor and nothing else. This thing was layered with pecans on top, a thick sugary 'viscous' center on top of crust. I did enjoy the flavor of the white chocolate pecan bite, but one thing I didn't like was it seemed to have been microwaved, as some spoonfuls were nice and warm, but others were downright cold. There was enough warm than cold however, but still, I would've liked for it to have been consistent. There's a wide selection of dessert bytes to try, but for this particular day, there were only a few in stock, so you may want to call before you come to see what's available. Also, you should ask for their off menu bytes, as I was recommended a couple of bytes that weren't currently on the menu (that I took pictures of). Pi-bytes has nice big square tables that have 4 chairs per table, but could easily seat double that at these large tables. There are three of those big tables, as well as seating for to go order guests. Located off of Main street in Stone mountain, parking at Pi-bytes is across the street at a free parking lot shared by several businesses on this small strip. Getting into or out of it is easy enough, but during weekends or events, parking may be tough to come by. Customer service was great, but at this moment, a one woman show (at least while I was there), so during a busy period, there could be delays and longer waiting times. Still, the one item I tried had good flavor, and was warm enough for me to enjoy. If there was a 3.5 stars, this would be my rating, but since they don't, i'll definitely give that extra half star in hopes that pi-bytes continues to find success here. Really good little treats and perfect in size. They were out of the most popular flavor and the one I wanted to try most, the Sweet Potato Praline. Maybe next time... I was trying to give them 4.5 stars but didn't want to take the time to figure out how to give a 1/2 star. I really liked the pizza. I don't eat pizza often but when I do I don't like the franchise stuff. Their pizza was tasty and they had a lot of options, like gluten free. I didn't taste the desserts but they looked delicious. And I like that they offer small bites. So you can try dessert without feeling guilty. Although I thought I would abhor the communal table set up, they were long enough where you could spread out, so you didn't feel crowded. Of course they also make food to go. Wow! Best pizza we've ever had! Very fresh ingredients and made from scratch. Even made me a gluten free crust from scratch which I have never had happen in all of my gluten free dining experiences! It was made with coconut flour and was topped with fresh tomato, goat cheese, smoked chicken, and pineapple. I got to choose my toppings from quite a list and it was so yummy. The key lime cheesecake was also out of this world but what a selection of flavors they had! Also had cokes in the bottle. Who does that?! Great casual vibe. Sort of Reminded me of a coffee shop. My boyfriend and I drove by today while headed to Stone Mountain Park and decided to stop. The inside is clean an simple in a rustic charm sort of way. We were immediately greeted and offered a menu and a sample of their specialty lemonades, honey cilantro and BlackBerry basil. Both were yummy and we decided to get the blackberry basil and a large pizza called The Beast. (As you can imagine it is loaded down with multiple kinds of meat) while we waited we were told they have various board games to keep us entertained. My boyfriend and I grabbed a table by the window and we grabbed the dominoes. What fun! The lemonade was served in a craft and we were given mule glasses which we thought was so neat and added even more so to the charm! When the pizza came out it was steaming hot, thin perfectly cooked crust and loaded with everything from pepperoni to gyro meat! It was as good as it smelled and the owner is very personable. Delicious food, delightful service, great experience. We arrived a little before lunch time after climbing Stone Mountain. So many yummy things to choose from on the menu. Being hungry, we ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade and limeade, jalapeño firecrackers, and the pizza/wings combo. We started with dessert of caramel apple cheesecake - cupcake size with a crunchy graham crust and fresh caramel and apple on top. The ades were both refreshing. The firecrackers were cooked perfectly and packed a punch of hear when we least expected it. The pizza crust was thin and crispy; the toppings were fresh and perfectly cooked. My new fav little spot!! Okay where do I start... Pi-bytes is sooo cute and warming when you walk in. It's pretty chill, quiet and has soft music playing in the background. Very nice set up. There's a little section where there's quite a few board games, card games, and magazines. The staff were nothing but exceptional from the moment I walked in! As well as the food was delicious! My friend & I had the small veggie specialty pizza (I can't remember the name), build your own lasagna, honey cilantro lemonade and two mini cheesecakes. The pizza consisted of spinach, mushrooms, black olives, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. The pizza was thin and light but still filling. It was absolutely magnificent. If I'm being quite honest I'm not much of a veggie person (shame on me) but it was really good not to mention I don't even like pizza. The lasagna was great as well, aside from it being quite watery. We got beef and spinach in it and it didn't disappoint. The beef in the lasagna was a bit scarce but I didn't mind at all. I was a bit skeptical of the honey cilantro lemonade because I'd never heard of anything like it before but I'm glad I gave it a try. It was very good. I don't know but it kinda taste like tea to me but I enjoyed it nonetheless. And last but not least we got the turtle cheesecake and the caramel apple cheesecake.
