So i promised my daughter i would take her here when they open again , on how i with i hadn't. I ordered the lemon cake and it didn't let me repeat did not have any flavor of lemon or any other flavor i could recognize. It was like eating kids playdo ugh. Only downsides are hours of operation and distance from me. Anytime I'm in the area I call my nephew and ask and make a pit stop, the cake never changes , consistently good and worth the trip. The product: The cake was superb. I am not a food critical nor can I bake anything. I even had trouble with my easy bake oven but I purchased three different kinds of cake from this bakery just so I could taste different varieties. Every one of those cakes were consistently moist and melted in my mouth. I am a picky eater so I don't eat everything but I had the 6 layer cake with chocolate icing, 2 of the strawberry cakes and a butter pound cake. All delicious. The Customer service: sucked. I felt the girl who waited on me was rude and I drove 30 minutes for her to look past me and attempt to serve the people waiting behind me; until I gave her that look of death. Then when she did wait on me she kept saying she couldn't hear me. Hands down these are the best cakes in the Tucker area! Cococakes is located in a plaza near Hugh Howell parkway. There is plenty of parking and they have a drive thru too. The owner of the place is really nice and personable. Sometimes, when he is cooking a new cake he'll offer a sample of it which is really nice. I can tell he takes pride in his shop and business! All the staff are friendly too. As for the cakes, there is so much to choose from. Also, they have ice cream, yay! My favorite cake flavors are the German chocolate (best seller get it before they run out for the day), butter cream pound cake, marble pound cake, coconut cake and so many more.
