Needed a quick scan of a word document and this place was closest. Owner was slow and operating off 1980s computer technology. Still he had a scanner so.... Took forever, so i decided to pay up and wait for scan at home. One, single page scan: $10.70. Not joking. I was flabbergasted but he said that's the price. Excellent work, terrible customer service. Needed photo enlargement. "Pick it up Wednesday any time after 10." On Wednesday arrived at 10:15: closed. Sign on door said open 10 to 5 on Wednesday. Returned at 10:25: closed. Phoned: message said open 10 to 3:30! And don't leave a message! (Website indicated open 9 to 5.) Finally returned at 10:50: open. "I was here at 10:15 and 10:25, and I phoned," I said. Shrug. No apology, no explanation. Photo was excellent (really professional), but there's more to a business than the quality of the work, like how you treat your customers. read more

Wish there was a 0 star option. Storeowner is a grump who thinks he's better than everyone, when really his business is mediocre at best. If you have children, don't take them into the store - he will deliberately be rude to you. If you want to get the job done affordably, don't go to this store - he charges absurd rates for simple photo jobs. It's honestly as if this guy doesn't know that his service can be performed at a CVS for approximately a quarter of the price. He does absolutely nothing to make the process pleasant, and in fact he'll be mean to you for no reason at all. Don't do this guy the favor of giving him your business. He's certainly not going to do you any favors with your experience. read more

I have never had a good experience with this man. I brought in my old film camera because I could not open the part containing the battery. I told him I had already tried with a coin and that it seemed to be corroded shut, thinking he would have the proper tools to open it. He took a nickel out of his pocket, tried himself and then said nothing could be done. Then when I tried to take my camera back, he withheld it from me and pointed at a sign that said something along the lines of "Any time I inspect your camera, you pay $20." I recently called up because I knew that his stored did film development. I asked if it would could be done in the next day or two, to which he snidely remarked "Nooooo, no place will do it that fast." I responded that hour photos do exist, and they have existed for years, to which he responded good luck and hung up. What horrible customer service. Well, Photo Cullen, my film is currently being brought to Clifton Photo for pickup later today. Thanks for the help!!! read more

I hate to give this rude and difficult man even one star. I have gone to his store twice, and both times found him to be downright rude. When I tried to discuss an issue I was having, he stopped with with the comment. I'M talking now! YES SIR, MR. CULLEN, SIR! Is this type of behavior ever correct? No. He was also rude to my grandchildren, who were not misbehaving. I will never go back - ever. read more

Yes, Photo Cullen is one of the last small photo stores in the area--that is exactly why I wanted to take my business there. I wanted so badly to support it, almost to the point where I walked around the shop's isles looking to make excuses about why I should buy something I don't necessarily need. But finally, 36 exposures later, my chance came in the elegant black cylinder I extracted from the back of my camera. It was time to re-visit Photo Cullen, and do my part at keeping a small professional photo store in business. while the clerk (who i understand is the store's owner and only employee) was taking down my information, I asked what product (CD, Etc.) he recommended I purchase so that I could view a proof sheet and not actually get prints of the photos just yet. This seemed to upset him, and he strongly suggested I purchase prints. I politely told him I don't necessarily want them because they require organization and storage space. The clerk then suggested that "if [I] had any friends, [I] could give [the prints] away," and subsequently, that "if [I] did my job as a photographer, [I] should desire prints." This took me by surprise, but wasn't enough for me to argue or talk back--I just asked for a photo CD. As I was leaving the store, however, I remembered that I had taken a number of double exposures on the roll, and thought it might be a good idea to warn him--just in case. So I went back in, and took the precautionary measure of warning him; after all, these 36 photos exist nowhere else in the world and could never be captured again (surely this is something a professional photo processor can understand). But to my surprise, he told me sternly, "It DOESN'T matter, because you're NOT getting prints! JUST LET IT GO!" That was the last straw. Floored, I asked for my roll of film back, to which he protested, "where are you going to go? There's nowhere else. Where are you going to go?" I told him I'd rather go anywhere else--CVS, even, if he is going to treat customers so poorly. I only took the time to write this review because of how upset i was to be treated so poorly by a professional whom i looked up to and wanted to support. It's a crying shame, but Photo Cullen can go out of business, for all i care. read more
