I ordered, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, and steamed rice, which they didn't have. I was given fried rice instead. The food was O.K. Nothing to write home about. Typical Chinese food. DON'T order from here!!!! Rainbow chicken had 8 pieces of chicken full of vegetables and filled half way up with soup that leaked into the other meals. I know I was far away and didn't care for the hour and a half wait however it was a minimal $50 for delivery, $15 delivery fee, they added an additional $1 to each menu item. The rice noodles smelt like dog food, was undercooked and I gave them a $10 tip too. When I called they started blaming other restaurants and say their food was better. They couldn't give me a reason why my food was the way it was and wouldn't even accept that they would make it better for anyone else. Asked for a partial refund for the uneatable food and they hung up on me. They even wrote down my card info so they can charge me at a later time. I mean come on we are trying to eat better than what we have here. Shame on you for profiting off the soldiers who are stuck on post. read more

But I was hungry for Chinese this Tuesday and my favorite place is closed that day so I decided to go search Soya out. And search is what I had to do! Even my 2 GPS apps sent me to the wrong place by a block or so... it's in a strip mall just where Airport goes Into Montana. Now my GPS' said it was the strip mall BEFORE the one it actually is.. but as I decided to keep going I found the only entrance AND exit to another strip mall and as I was looking at all the business names across the top of the Mall I see the word "SOYA". So I pull over to it and the parking lot is packed, but one place is opening up under the sign so I wait and get that place. On the windows it's painted "Chinese Restaurant". So this must be the place. As you walk in, you first see, it's a hole in the wall. Plan walls. Boxes stacked around. No AC working so two HUGE black portable air converters blowing loud but cooler air across the 7-8 tables in the place. Only 4tops with 4 chairs each. About 3 tables were occupied when I showed up. There is a counter towards the back.. I walked to it because it had menu's spread out on the top and I thought maybe you order, pay and go sit down ... but the lady wanted to know if I was here for pickup, I kindly told her no, I wanted to eat inside. So she said pick any table and they would come to me. So I did. She came quickly. Took my Drink order and left a menu. It was typical "Chinese" faire. Lunch specials range from $8.75-$10.75 or so. Each entree comes with fried or steamed rice. If you want soup or egg rolls that costs more. Most places I go those items are included, so if you get those things you will spend a bit more here. I was a bit disappointed in the egg roll. It had no pork or shrimp or any protein. It was more like a spring roll. Just veggies. The egg drop soup was super yummy. The right kind of texture, color and amount of eggs. And good flavor. They barely give you any crispy strips for it, but at least you get some.. I got Mongolian Beef with no heat. And fried rice. And it was amazing. Nice bite size chunks of beef. Good amount of Green peppers and other veggies. Mushrooms were a little too thin, could have been sliced not so thin so as to be more of a flavor contributor to the dish. The fried rice was AMAZING. You could taste the "wok char" in the rice, this was actually fried and not just doused in soy sauce. It was delicious. Best I've had since Hunan on Mesa. The place is very small, very plan, no Chinese lanterns or dragons or Buddha's, a true hole in the wall place... making pretty Good Chinese food.

We tell the young man we're picking up our online order and he looks confused and tells us they didn't have our order. We ended up having to wait again he said it would be 5-10 mins but it ended up being more like 15mins. The aura they gave off was very unwelcoming and seemed as if we were inconveniencing them. This alone doesn't make me want to come back. I will only continue to support family owned businesses who actually value their customers and are actually FRIENDLY. Now on to the food. The cashew chicken was very skimpy with the chicken, the sauce did taste good but I've definitely had much better. The pork fried rice was nothing super special. The won ton soup was just okay, the broth wasn't great, the won tons had a strange texture almost like they had been sitting in the broth way too long or it wasn't fresh soup. Was not impressed at all. The egg rolls aren't even egg rolls, they're more like spring rolls, they are more on the skinny side and skimpy on filling. Tasted like it was mostly fried egg roll wrapper and tasted over- fried The side order of won tons were just okay, flavor was lacking. Wouldn't order this again Maybe they were just having a bad day but it's no wonder why there were zero other customers in there. Bad attitudes are bad for business. Sorry but your food isn't even good enough to be giving such a snobby, unfriendly vibe. Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely not. We spent $50 for a family of three on mediocre food.

This resulted in an actual injury, his leg is blistering from how bad it was, it is not just an inconvenience. We only received a $5.00 refund and a $10.00 credit for a $19.00 product that didn't only ruin our night, it caused an injury. What was most disappointing was the response when I contacted the restaurant. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the injury, and no indication that they would even review whether the packaging met appropriate safety or legal guidelines for extremely hot broth. I was simply told to go through DoorDash, which felt dismissive given the circumstances. I understand accidents can happen, but situations involving injuries should be handled with care, accountability, and basic concern for customer safety. I hope this feedback encourages safer packaging practices and a more responsible (and empathetic) response when issues like this are reported.
