The place was clean and we could smell the cleaner they used but it was a little overwhelming and not appetizing. The service was good. The gal that seated us was nice. The spring rolls or rather "egg rolls" were greasy. The iced coffee was good but still warm not as cold as I would have liked but I liked that it was made fresh. The pho was not impressive, it tasted like a lot of white pepper was added. I couldn't taste the the other spices or the umami of the fish sauce. It was off. Not long after I stopped eating bc it just wasn't good my stomach and my son's stomach started bubbling. It was not the pho I'm accustomed to. Maybe we had an off day but I will not be returning. read more

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and the service by bea is so welcoming and comforting. I started coming here because my husband is on deployment and my first night was surrounded by delicious food and even great anime playing on the TV. I came here again for the second time was happy to see bea working again she's really great and I hope to see her again when I come for a nice bowl of pho read more

I came here on a Monday for lunch and ordered the 2 egg roll appetizer to start and a regular pho with rare beef, tendon and tripe (My regular order). Restaurant has plenty of parking and a good menu. It was pretty busy too. The customer service is great! I grew up eating traditional, delicious Vietnamese food and eat Vietnamese food every week. The egg rolls are strange - I thought they were raw at first bc the stuffing is mushy. They're also greasy. Hard pass. The first thing I check is the broth temperature- it was warm. NOT HOT. Warm is no bueno. I added tons of lime, siracha and hoisin sauce and finally the broth was better. Very little ingredients. They could do really well if the broth arrived hot and there was more ingredients. For $13, don't cheap out. read more

I ate here one week ago and had the spicy noodle chicken and beef dish. It was delicious. They gave me a very large quantity, but I couldn't help myself and finished the whole thing. The staff was friendly. The ambience is casual. read more

The Pho Snob here reporting on another Pho place... Service was great!!! Food: Their broth was clean and flavorful. Their combo fried rice was good with their Pho Soup on the side. Their bbq pork spring rolls was good and better with the sauce. It wasnt tightly packed though. Overall a good hidden Pho place in El Paso read more

The staff was very friendly, the waitress was awesome always checking on us. The food was very flavorful, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this hidden gem located on airway Blvd read more

My wife loves the pho here so I have to go. Lol. Spring rolls are huge and very good. Sandwiches are very good. My favorite is the beef. I really enjoy the combination lo mein and even more, the fried rice, "spicy". We always get great service. If busy, food can take a bit. Order appetizers. Place is somewhat small but always clean and quiet. read more

best place to eat in El Paso, super friendly staff make us feel like family, they even remember our orders as soon as soon as we walk in

Very small and simple setting. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered two types of spring rolls. You get 2 per order and they are quite large. If you wanted, it could be a meal by itself. I ordered the Pho chicken soup. It was tasty- lots of flavor. I ordered the regular size- I couldn't finish it. read more

Nice Vietnamese restaurant with great food. All dishes are made fresh from scratch. Portions are plenty with very reasonable price. Waitress was friendly and very attentive. Small setting but clean and plenty of tables. All menu items were authentic, not mixed with other asian cuisine. Definitely coming back next time visiting El Paso. read more

The service was nice however I am quite the pho connoisseur and I must say this pho was incredibly disappointing i took a few bites because I was hungry but hardly touched it. The meat wasn't good quality, the broth tasted like a strong chai over a nice pho broth. The spring rolls were good but nothing special. I would not reccomend the pho to people. read more

It really is about 3.5 stars IMHO. I rounded up to 4 since they had a very good/pleasant server who took care of me. My quest for the best pho continues in El Paso, TX. This is not a big place--perhaps seated 35 if all the tables/chairs were totally occupied. When I came here for Saturday lunch, there were altogether 20 people dining during the span of time when I was eating there. I received a good recommendation from one of my co-workers, so I just had to try it at least once. Boy, the large pho is really large (photo)...I almost couldn't finish it. That's really unusual for me since I normally have a very healthy appetite. So, why wasn't it the best there is? Broth--just didn't have the best tasting flavor...a little too thin/weak and murky-looking. Rice noodles--it came out a bit clumpy meaning that it sat out for a while after being warmed up. I had to loosen them up with my chopsticks before I started eating. Rare steaks--a little tough--there was no pink part even when it first came out from the kitchen. It was overdone (or sat in the broth too long) IMHO. There was no basil leaves provided, but there were plenty of cilantro instead. This was perhaps the first time I didn't have any basil at all the pho restaurants I tried in El Paso, and I must have tried at least seven different places. For these reasons, I will give 3.5 stars to Pho Bistro. read more

The two is for the good service. The pho broth had no taste. The same people cleaning tables seem to be the same people making the food. Big portions but no taste. I had been here before and the food was much better. read more

Yet another overnight in El Paso last night, and as we drove by in the hotel van I noticed this place, and I had to stop by and see if El Paso knows good pho. So, I walked over to this establishment, and the people were very friendly. The last that took my order was more concerned about getting my order to the cooks than swiping my card, and didn't even ask for payment until the food was out. They were quick, polite, and had me ready to go in no time, and even offered me ice water in a to go cup. The walk wasn't a short one, but the food was still hot and fresh when I returned to my hotel room, and the veggies were surprisingly fresh from the jalapeño to the sprouts and limes! The broth was pretty good, and the brisket was mostly meat, not a lot of gristle (which I prefer). I'm overall very happy. No siracha sauce though, and I wish they had those deeper disposable spoons. That's really my only complaint. If you go with friends keep in mind their restaurant is not very large at all. read more

Pho Bistro - Chicken Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Let me preface this by saying, I'm half Chinese and half Vietnamese. I know real, good, authentic Vietnamese food. This is the one place like I finally get a taste of real Vietnamese food in El Paso. There are other Pho places around, but this one is the real deal. We went in twice on a Saturday night. Service: The service was mainly one young Vietnamese American woman. She was very nice and very prompt and attentive. She was also quick to refill water despite it being a busy night. The food came out very quickly, which was surprising. Food: GREAT! My husband had the pork banh mi and the pork and rice. I had the pho dac biet (combo pho). The pork banh mi is very flavorful, I personally was not a fan of the bread - it's very thick. The pork and rice was amazing. If you've ever had Chinese BBQ pork, it's very similar. The sauce that comes with it is delicious as well. I had the pho and let me tell you, the broth is what makes pho GREAT. If the broth sucks, the pho sucks. The broth here was the best and most flavorful I've had in El Paso. We finished off our meals with taro bubble tea, which was tasty. Keep in mind they do not blend their bubble tea, which is what I like. Ambiance: It's a small restaurant, so seating is quite limited. Definitely go at a slower time if you want to come with a larger party. It's clean, simple, and the basics. Not fancy. But most good pho places don't need anything fancy. Overall: Love this place. Definitely coming by whenever I feel homesick for my grandma's food! read more

Sometimes you walk into a Pho place in Texas, are you are pleasantly surprised. This is not one of those places. Nothing tasted good. Probably the worst I've had in a long time. The server was very friendly. But if you eat Vietnamese food weekly, in other parts of the country, this place will disappoint. The lettuce and bean sprouts in the roll were wilted and brown. The meat in the brisket roll was a sliver of what it should be. The dipping sauce, again, not authentic. The entrée was even worse. At least the chicken was fully cooked. read more

We used to love Pho Bistro up until one particular waitress started working there. The food is great but the service is a one star. We had been there often but the last couple of Fridays have been very disappointing. This blonde man looking waitress is the epitome of a sour person. The waitress embarrassed my husband and I in front of everyone and basically made us feel like children when we sat at a big table. We were waiting for our children to arrive when she rudely told us we. could not sit there and pulled out a table very manly and rudely and kicked us off the big table. On another occasion she literally threw our food at us and ignored our request. Her attitude totally ruined our relationship with this restaurant and her attitude towards us has made us decide never to eat there again for fear she may do something to our food. read more

The largest bowl of Pho I have ever seen. I have eaten Pho in Seattle, LA, San Diego, Tucson, Phoneix, Virgina, Maryland, Dallas to name just a few. At no time have I had a bowl large enough to put my foot in. I am. it being gross, but the bowl was enormous. The Pho was good, a little strong with the Star Anise flavor, it still good. I guess things I this part of TX are larger, I will be back when traveling through the area. read more

Satisfying spot overall. Just something felt like it was missing. I ordered the Viet eggrolls, combo beef pho, and an original milk tea drink. Eggs rolls were good. Wish there was more meats to the filling but it was packed with the right flavor! Decent amount for 4 bux too. My reg sized pho bowl was at 9 bux which had a good ratio of the meats, tendons, and tripe. I think its always good when the actual meat ratio is greater than tendon/tripe, which it was. I just wasnt crazy about the broth flavor. It was very strong with the cloves or star anise. Couldnt really tell which, but either way, it wasnt that rich velvetty beef taste i crave. Milk tea was ok, but the tea used was too bitter tasting. I wouldnt mind stopping in again but with Pho Tre Bien just around the corner, i just cannot deny my undying love for that other pho broth. read more

the service here is really welcoming and professional, something one doesn't ever expect from a pho establishment, and it was my favorite part of my experience here. I had the large combination pho, and it was the largest bowl i've seen in ep yet. I appreciate the extra volume of soup, since it keeps things hot and cooks down the stuff u add faster. neutral flavor broth was good. LOVED seeing basil on the vege plate, and my server asked me twice if i had enough veges, which was so thoughtful. only thing i didnt like were the meatballs, which tasted spoiled.. need a lil quality control. For proximity to ft bliss, i'd say this is the second best place after tre bien in terms of flavor, though superior in service. read more

Very clean w/ delightful young woman taking and explaining dishes. I tried the Spicy Grilled Chicken Stir Fry/steam rice w/ side order of steamed vegetables. I travel frequently to EP, and have driven past this place many times. Always wondered about a Vietnamese place out in the desert, and just tucked into a strip center. But the food was really good. Started with the brisket spring rolls. Much larger than I expected. With the two of those, that could have been my meal. Very filling, but could have used a less lettuce and more meat. Then my pho was brought out even before I could finish the spring rolls. It was great, especially with the side of cilantro basil jalapeño and sprouts. Added a little Siracusa to it and it was perfect. Had the rice noodles in it. They were the right texture, not chewy at all. Great little place to visit, even in the middle of the desert. read more

I have eaten here several times in the past. This time just was not up to par. The table condiments were filthy. The broth was weak and tasteless . Also I asked for extra basil and they told me they were out, however every Bowl I saw come out after mine had a sprig basil on it. There is something terribly wrong with their soda fountain. It tastes watered down and flat. Won't go back.... read more

One of my favorite places. Service is great amd food is delicious. Rare steak d brisket pho are my go tos' here.

Ordered my food to go. Once I got to my work place and was going to eat, the meat smelled rotten & the noodles were... . Chunky?? Post Script: The Boba tea was delicious but it could've been blended a little more, found clumps of flavor powder when I was sipping away. read more

Love coming to this place. Lorena(server) is amazing!!! She is beyond efficient and always goes above and beyond. Avocado crunch spring rolls are a must for me. Egg rolls are delicious. Hmmm....what can I say good? I do not usually "Yelp" but with my quest for a decent Pho spot nearby I went with Pho Bistro today and I'm sorely dissatisfied. Watered down broth with absolutely no other flavor than star anise. I literally added all the soy, fish, and hoisin sauce I could and it was still bland. My noodles were over cooked and meat (rare steak and tendon) sparse. My spring roll looked like it was wrapped by a child and was overfilled w/ lettuce and carrots. Husband enjoyed the Viet rolls though limp from taking in too much oil when fried. I'm sadly thinking many people are jumping on the Pho train without actually producing a decent flavorful or eye appealing meal. Lastly seating is cramped and uncomfortable. read more
