I'm very disappointed. I gave this place another chance after stopping before due to slimy chicken that went bad fast. Today around 2:30 p.m., my to-go order was changed without telling me -- I received white rice instead of fried rice. When I asked about it, the manager (who was also the cook) made me wait 10-15 minutes while she reviewed past orders to investigate which employees had been making substitutions, instead of addressing my order. In the end, I was told it couldn't be substituted and was asked to pay full price instead of a side, doubling the cost of a single plate. Pho is absolutely amazing but the service is so bad it's unfortunate. I came in by myself and there was about 3 servers and two people at the bar area, none of them greeted me and servers kept walking past me. I told the girl I wanted a table and she looked around confused and said there was none available when there were three open tables that hadn't been wiped down. The pho soup was kind of bland but the chicken skewer plate was really good . We also got the lumpia rolls and it was good . So i really wanted to give this place 4 stars at least but i both me and my husband agree that the banh mi and the small bowl of pho that comes with the pho and banh mi combo are just not as good. I am however super impressed by their options and based it off a cafe theme with their nice spread of desserts and coffee. I tried their japanese cheesecake to go a while ago and although tasty, it was a bit too dry and thrist inducing for my liking. They also have this nice brunch option of skillets and this is where they offered half a bahn mi and a mini pho bowl option. It can only have the special viet ham banh mi for this option which i can understand why. It wasnt my favorite choice of meats. I was at least able to get the brisket option for my mini pho bowl but there wasnt much meat neither compared to the 5$ mini bowl options at the other locations. My husband stuck to his beef banh mi as usual. He did not like how the bread was prepared here. It was too toasted to the point of stabbing himself on his lips from the bread. Perhaps they needa make sure they dont use bread thats too dried out already. Pho Tre Bien is my go to pho and Uber eats place! They have multiple locations in El Paso and they all carry their classics and pho! I'm a fan of the cafe location because they do more of a brunch (with mimosas) than the other locations and it has the cutest cafe ambience. They also offer unique dessert options that you can't get at the others like cheesecake and beignets! My go to order always includes the Vietnamese coffee, winter lumpia rolls, rare steak pho, and pan-fried cube steak the Vietnamese crepe is also amazing if you can make it for brunch! read more

I'm going to start off by saying the restaurant look clean and nice, and the food wasn't bad! However, service was terrible! When we went inside, the lady at the front said, "for 2," which we replied, "yes," but she didn't do anything about it or get someone to help us. So we just stood at the entrance, looking dumb, for about 5 minutes, until someone else came around the bar and said they'll help us in a bit. Something to note: there was only one other occupied table in the whole restaurant other than us (meaning they didn't look very busy). So we are seated, and I order a Thai ice tea with boba and he orders Vietnamese coffee. That Thai tea takes about 10 to 15 minutes to make (no idea why), it tasted very bland, and the boba tasted bland and chemically (like the pre-made packaged ones). Oh, and the coffee we ordered, didn't come until after we were almost done with our meal...maybe an hr later. Ok, so why didn't we ask about our coffee? Because the service took so long that we forgot about it. We waited maybe 30 to 40ish minutes to get our pho and spicy beef soup. There were at least 4 employees standing around the bar doing absolutely nothing, who then disappeared somewhere for the whole 30 to 40 minutes. A man, who looked to be the manager or owner, was just sitting at the front for 15 minutes before finally coming up to ask us if we had ordered. And we didn't see anyone again, after we told him we did. We were about to pay for my drink and just leave before we finally saw an employee. She then went to the one other occupied table if they needed anything. Something to note about this table: they had finished their food before we even got to the restaurant. We found out they had been waiting for their check the whole time (so maybe an hr)! Eventually this one employee brought over our food, apologizing to us, and said our server just left, and hasn't come back for sometime. We were annoyed, but the food wasn't bad. Then the original server came back (the one who randomly left) and gave us our coffee, which we completely forgot we ordered. the coffee was meeeh, and there were coffee grinds all around the rim of the cup.
