Johnny has serviced all 3 of my cars (Honda, Toyota & Mercedes) and I will never take them anywhere else for service. Johnny is honest, humble, hardworking, patient & detailed. He takes pride in his work & it shows. He explains everything & didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. 1. Honda - I have a 2004 Honda Accord. On my way to work one morning, a big rig side swiped my car on the freeway. Where the impact was it flattened my tire & the rim was ruined and damaged. The service patrol stopped and put the bicycle tire (spare tire) I had in my trunk on. The part above the tire & part of the left back side door panel was also damaged. I'd sent Johnny pics of the damage so that he could give me an estimate. Of, course, Johnny drives to my house & take a look at the damage & tells me what it would cost to repair. He took the car with him that same day. Before he repaired the damage, he did a total inspection. He cleaned my fuel injectors & checked everything. Since my car paint was fading (with the insurance settlement) I decided to have the entire car painted. When, Johnny delivered the car, it was immaculate! He even organized & boxed items I had in my trunk & glove compartment. I could tell the difference in the performance & not only did he clean my engine, he cleaned my headlights & detailed my car. The paint job is flawless! My car performs like a brand new car! Toyota - I took my 2003 Matrix to Johnny for routine maintenance. My Toyota has at least 500,000 miles. The mileage indicator got stuck at 299,999. Johnny told me that he had 3 other vehicles my make & model with the same problem. He said that with a vehicle with that much mileage he only recommends changing the oil, brakes & tires & not to put any additional money into it. He did clean my fuel injectors before he did the oil change. Even though my car has 500,000 miles, it drives by far much better. Mercedes E350- Before Johnny opened his repair shop, another shop had done a little body work to my car. I noticed that after the other shop had done work, I heard this noise when I would wash my car or whenever it rained. I would hear popping noise from the speakers. It would start from one & go to the other. I took that car back to that body shop & even recorded the noise several times for them to hear. I just got tired of going back & forth while they were trying to figure it out. Johnny came to my house to pick the car up. He found out that water was getting into the trunk through clips that were not secure & dripping on the amp. Unfortunately the amp was damaged beyond repair & had to be replaced. Johnny even closed himself in the trunk to see where the water was coming in at. He fixed the problem & performed routine services such as oil change, transmiision fluid, refurbished my headlights & detailed my car. I wouldn't take my Mercedes to anyone else not even the dealership. Johnny knows his cars! He's passionate about what it does! He amazes me with all his knowledge & he's so young! I wanted to update my review of Phoenix Auto Care after getting my car serviced there a second time. To start, all I can say is Johnny and his crew are FANTASTIC! I can honestly say that I have never been this impressed or happy with an auto shop EVER! Johnny goes above and beyond any mechanic I've ever taken my business to. I brought my car because my service engine light went on. Johnny checked out my car and gave me a full list of what he felt I needed to do to get the car running correctly. He rebuilt my gas pump, cleaned out my gas tank, cleaned out my fuel system, fixed my horn, fixed an engine mount, cleaned up my oxidized headlights, and detailed my car. When everything was complete and Johnny took me on the test drive, I was totally amazed on how well my car ran. You couldn't pry the smile off my face. My car has never run this well ever. I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla. I bought it brand new in 1998 and love it, am emotionally attached to it and could not imagine getting a new car. It is old and was running as if it had a fever and very sluggish. I was previously told that my car was going to die and I could rebuild the engine or buy a new one. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. My friend recently took her car to Johnny at Cal Nissan Toyota so I decided to give it a try. All the mechanics have a passion for cars and when you love your car, they will love it more. They flushed my engine, ran diagnostics, serviced the transmission and battery, changed my spark plugs and numerous other things. No one has previously suggested running diagnostics on my car. My car feels brand new, safe and fresh. They also polished the headlights and made it beautiful again. They showed me everything they did and told me that my car is in good shape, safe and good for many years to come. As long as I maintain it properly. I will not have a problem with it. I knew these guys had to have dabbled in high performance Honda's because I've been driving by this shop for some time now. I've seen the late night wrenching on some unique rides! So last week after I had just bought a 1999 Acura Integra GSR. I decided to stop by and see if these guys could run a quick check on my new ride. That turned into coffee with the master mind himself, Johnny Lun. Moving on.... what really stood out to me was how they all treated their clients. Danny (the mechanic) offers you a drink then then Adam (the master mechanic) walks by and offers drinks. Johnny then yells at everybody why don't these guests have drinks yet!! Extraordinary service! I usually come here to get an oil change by Seth, but recently my car alternator broke and I spoke on the phone with the new owner, Johnny. Instead of having to tow it to the shop, he offered to come to my house, get the car started, and take it there for me! After he did an inspection, he informed me of what the problems were and immediately started working on my car. Throughout the day, he sent photos of what the team was up to. It was very helpful! When they were finished, a team member picked me up and took me to the shop. I was so surprised when I saw my car! They washed it for free (it was extremely dirty especially since I had just driven it to Coachella) and it looked so shiny, almost brand new. They even cleaned my carpet and seats! I don't know that much about cars and I barely write reviews, but this place defnitely deserves one for helping me out and taking such good care of my car. I appreciated everything so much! Everyone there works together as a calling--much more than just a job-- to make your car operate at its finest. Just picked up my car, and it is washed and vacuumed, and everything promised was not only completed, but to peak performance. They use only genuine OEM components, even down to filters and sparkplugs. When Johnny looked over my car, he saw that the brakes needed attention, and after discussing with me (I did not feel at all pressured) and getting permission, fixed the dragging caliper. Not only did he turn the rotor, but he cleaned up some rust on the hub and really brought it up to snuff as part of the service (see photos). Phoenix prices are fair and certainly below Dealers for good work, but the extra attention and pride of going that extra mile for excellent work is priceless. So about a week ago my car's engine light, vdc light and slip sensor light came on. I was worried so my girlfriend recommended I take it to the mechanic that her and her family had been taking their cars for years. Met Johnny and was looking at the car. When he checked the diagnostics, there was a bunch of error codes that popped up. Kept the car for a week. The work he did was amazing. Car was running a lot smoother than when I first got it out of dealership 3 years ago. Power cleaned the engine bay and undercarriage. Full engine flush.
