This turned out to be a great place to bring my car to! I needed to replace the VSA (?) module that had become defective. Okay, so I looked up the price for a new one and almost had a heart attack! My car is a 2005 Acura RL, and the part cost well over $3500.00! So, I decided to take a chance and buy a used one off of eBay, for about $340.00. But, I still needed to get it installed...well, why not? Okay, so I had not been to this shop before, but because the estimate is free, I stopped by to get one. The owner told me he'd do it for $200.00, which is what I was thinking it would cost to have it installed. So, we made arrangements to have the work done on 12/26/2025. When I dropped the car off, I also asked to have the power steering pump checked for leaks. He said he will check that out and let me know. A little while later he called and said the reservoir had a crack and the part would cost only $50.00. I asked how much for the labor and he said, "no charge, since he had to remove it to get to the VSA module". WOW! That's what I call an honest, reliable owner! Only had to pay for the part! So, since he could get the part right away, I said to go ahead and replace it. The VSA module was also replaced the same day, and my car was good to go. I liked this place so much, that my better half brought her car here for servicing as well. She asked him to also check for an oil leak. He found it and said it would be an additional $90 to fix the leak by replacing the part. Very reasonable we thought, so she told him to do the work. Her car was finished in a timely manner, and all work done was very reasonably price, and he charged the price he quoted. So far, neither of us has had any problems with the service that was done. Both cars work great, and will be back when future servicing is needed. I highly recommend this business! read more

We stumbled upon this place last Saturday while in Alhambra when our car engine lights randomly went hay wire. We barely got the car to the shop. When we got there, the owner/mechanic was kind enough to take us in last minute to diagnose our car. What stands out about the establishment is the honesty of the owners; He could have easily up-charged us but instead, was straight forward and genuine about the fixing the vehicle and cost behind it. The mechanic ended up doing a factory reset on the cars' dashboard and electronic features and all was magically fixed. If my car ever broke down, I would make the drive all the way from the south to this shop again. read more

I called to ask how much for a synthetic oil change and was told $78 and to come early like around 8:30 the next day. I went the next day at 8:15am and there was 5 others waiting. The parking lot was small and full and I had to find parking in the street and by the time I went back there was 7 people.... I guess he told approx 8 people to come early. I couldn't wait around so I went back towards the end of day like 4pm and was told they don't do oil changes after the morning hours. The shop looked dirty and dim and just didn't understand why he couldn't even take an appointment or do a simple oil change when he had an empty bay. It literally takes 15-30mins at most to do an oil change. Not everyone has free time to wait in the morning ... the lack of customer care and mindset of this owner was disappointing. I can't say enough good things about this business. I brought my car in with a few different issues and they resolved all of them without charging me anything more than a normal oil change. My check engine light was reset and my brake light was also resolved with a simple solution. They helped me to make sure that my car was going to be ready for a long road trip and my car never drove better after the service. it used to be decent but lately they know they are popular and they will lie to you in order to get by. We went early 8:00 am for oil change and window fixing. They say ok so waited for three hours, oil change is ok but the window needs to come back three days later and more wait? what, why didn't you say so ? the mechanic did specified he will fix it in the morning....!!!! so unprofessional and wasted our time. We ended up going somewhere and get it fixed within two hours. We could have done that first thing in the morning somewhere else on both the oil change and the window .....and not double our time for waiting for them...then drive all the way to somewhere else. This is not the first bad experience from them The owner is sexist too. My wife ask for a quote for a part, he didn't give any price and insist needing to see the car. First time coming to HH Motor Service, thanks to Yelp. I called first to inquire about getting my oil changed, and was told to come at 8:30 in the morning. So the next day, I brought my car in at 8:30 am, but was told that there would be over an hour and a half wait. So I said I'd come back the next day. The next day, I came a little past 8:30 am. Once again, I was told the wait would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours! This time, I decided to wait. There is no waiting area, so I decided to go across the street to get a bite to eat. The wait actually wasn't too bad, but I did have to wait for about an hour and a half. Also, their lot is very small, so I had to park my car in the street. They moved it into their garage once they were ready for my car. Once they began servicing my car, it was fairly quick. $68 for a synthetic oil change. Also, I asked James if they would re-set the yellow indicator light that was on, as well as the "maintenance required" notification on my dashboard panel, which they did. I made a call to H H Motor Service and was able to drop off my car for a same-day service. I dropped off my car at 12:30 PM and the staff said my car will be ready by 3 PM. Two hours later I got a call and my car was ready for pick up. The total price for minor service + new brake pads was less than $250 (including labor, parts, and sales tax.) I got engine light on as my car was chuckling, no power . I was so desperate that it may cost me a good chunk to fix the problem. I found HH after researching on Yelp so I dropped off my car in early next morning. I talked to James, he said they will need time to take a look at the car so we had to leave the car there. Around the afternoon, James called me back and said my car is back to normal, he just needed to reset the computer. I figure, this must be a great shop if people are lining up first thing in the morning. They took my details, had me leave my car - I just parked on the street since their lot is very small. Honest owner. Quick and efficient

Started this year with a flashing check engine light and a dying motor, preventing me from going to work. I managed to limp over to this shop, which coincidentally came highly recommended from my roommate. Within the day, they managed to fix my car for a very affordable price. It runs perfectly now. A very fair price with a very quick turn around is perfect service in my opinion. If I could give them a rating higher than 5 stars, I would. I'll be bringing my car here for the foreseeable future. Please note: They only take a certain number of jobs per day, and people line up here in the morning prior to opening, so getting here 10-25 minutes prior to opening is advised. My car engine light came on and whenever I would drive my steering wheel would vibrate a lot. I found HH Motor Service through Yelp as a few of the reviews described what my car was going through. I got there around 7:45 a.m. and there was already a line! Once James arrives, James seems to be the owner, he gives you a clipboard to put your information on a sheet and briefly describe your issue.
