They wanted to charge me over $1000. I decided not to have it repaired because it was too much money to my surprise. David retired. He's not there anymore. So HONEST. We backed our car into the curb yesterday and smashed the exhaust pipe in the back. The car acceleration was minimal, and the car sounded a bit more loud. We brought the car in to get it figured out. Sam realigned the exhaust system for us for free. He said, no charge, and the car runs great. He was correct. The best place to go to with the nicest people you will meet! I got my car towed there through Triple AAA after having multiple issues with my car and Triple AAA. Originally, they towed it to the shop across the street but they said they were not able to even look at my car until the next week. I then brought it across the street to California Import Service and they checked out right away! The workers were so nice and easy to talk to. It's hard to find an honest mechanic shop nowadays.. I started coming here because I moved near the area needed an autoshop who can do a good job with my cars.. I brought my cars here a couple of times.. I knew from the first time this autoshop is the place to go.. David/ the manager, is so helpful and I love talking to Sam/ the mechanic.. Very friendly service and they get the job done.. They did a major work done with my Honda, they changed my oil pain, main gasket seals, and my other left axle/cv boot.. I spoke with Sam and he said those are the work that needed to be done.. He even showed me the problems with my own eyes before replacing them.. I love the last part, after working on my car, any major service done, they degrease and do an engine wash for free.. I had to wait a couple of hours but well worth it.. When you go to the waiting room, there is a vending machine, drinking water, and you can make some coffee while you wait.. I like to hang out there and watch some TV.. It's a clean waiting room.. They have, I think it's 10 gallon, fish tank where you can watch a few parrot fishes swimming around.. Like I said in the beginning, there are no mechanics who are truly honest than these guys in California Nissan Services.. (Well, when you see the shop the building says California Import Service but the sign beside the gate says California Nissan Services) Almost the same but different wording.. David, Sam and the crew are very skilled and really care for their customers.. This is my new shop for all my cars.. ((( NEVER GO TO AN AUTOSHOP IN WEEKENDS AROUND NOON OR AFTER WORK.. So my friend's car battery died and we did not have a jump cable. Luckily for us, my friend lives right next to this location. The worker Sam, I believe there might be two, but the younger one, was very helpful and friendly. He was willing to leave his station and outside the work place to help jumpstart our car. We brought the car to get checked afterwards and the staff took a look at it. They did not scam us or try to sell us anything, considering we do not know anything about cars. You should definitely go to this place if you want stellar customer service and not be scammed. Just bought a beater 200sx as a commuter car so I started looking around for somewhere to get my regular scheduled maintenance done. Glad I found these guys on Yelp! I took the car in to get an oil change and to have them check on an idle issue (high idle). After Sam got done with the oil change he started digging into the idle issue. He spent a solid 30-45 mins checking all the various connectors and sensors. He concluded that everything under the hood was good but it was my tachometer that was reading incorrectly. He also noted the oil leaks I had which were due to a bad valve cover gasket and distributor o-ring. He quoted me on a price for the parts and install which seemed very reasonable and told me to let him know in advance on when I wanted to proceed since some of the parts were "special order". No pressure, no bs. I went into the office expecting to pay for the oil change and any diagnostic fees trying to track down the idle issue. The guys just wanted to charge me for the oil change, $25. Friggin awesome! Definitely bring these guys your business. They specialize in nissans but there were a variety of different brands being worked on while I was there. read more

At first Id went across the st to CSC auto, and he told me I had to change my cars transmission oil, and said if I don't I would have to pay $2000 to repair. I don't know much about cars, so I waited and went home to ask my dad and he told me to go to California 2025 auto place he told me his friends friend owns that place. So I went and I'm not the type that would say oh my dad told me to come... So I cut to the point told a guy my so-called car problem that CSC auto did, and h they said, he was crazy. And I didn't need to change my transmission oil. California Auto workers work efficiently,they are friendly, and they are honest. Second time here: I went for an oil change and during the oil change David saw that my front breaks were worn out and that I needed to change them. I had no clue; he took out my old breaks and showed it to me and also showed me what good break were suppose to look like. I was shocked! I have a Honda Element and I needed to get an oil change done pronto, so I happend to be driving towards work and I found this place, to my surprise I was greeted and welcomed by Sam and to be honest I felt even weird to see how nice I was received, for a moment I felt like I was in another country at a Resort, since he walked me to the waiting room and offered me coffee, tea, tv and even free wi-fi, really trying to make me feel welcomed. But I decided to stay outside where they also have some comfortable chairs, as they begun to check my car, Sam even took the time to show me the box of oil he was gonna open to replace my current one, which I thought is was very cool from him and made me feel more comfortable and knew that I was dealing with an honest mechanic. So after 15 - 20 minutes my car was done, and by the way they didn't only change the oil in my car, but they also checked all tires to make sure the air pressure was correct and also checked both my front and rear brakes and all fluids. And can you believe I got all this done for $25.00, Sam's son made me aware that my front brakes are running low and that he recommends next oil change I get them replaced. I can't speak anything wrong about this place, aside of the wonderful and knolewdgeable mechanic crew they have, this place is clean, well organized and proffesional. So if you have a Nissan, Honda, Toyota, and want an honest, nice mechanic, and were the repair prices are reasonable and right, please do not hesitate in coming here. I will be definitely coming back and will also bring my wife's car to Sam and will recommend this place to my friends and family. Oh and I almost forgot, if they consider that the job in your car is gonna take more than 2 hours to get fix, they provide you with a ride to your home and they will also come and pick you up after your car has been fixed. *DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS* This company was really disappointing, has horrible customer service and does not understand the value of time. Their turn around times for vehicles are fraudulent, their work ethic is non existent and they do not value their customers. *DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS* My time is extremely valuable so I called about taking my 370z last week for my 30k service. I decided to check this place out because of its reviews. Over the phone they told me to come in on a Saturday first thing in the morning at 8am. I was the second customer to be served by Sam. Sam promised me that it would take 4hours to complete and if they found anything out of the ordinary they would call me. I looked him in the eyes repeated what he said and shook hands. Since i lived in Downtown Los Angeles I decided to kill time about 4 hours. I did not receive a call from them so I decided to check on my car my self and if it needed a little bit more time I would just grab a bite to eat. *DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS* I returned to their business at about 12:45pm thats 45 mins after their quoted time. I saw my car with the windows down parked outside and I thought my car was complete. I was greeted by an older man that did not have a uniform on, he looked like a customer. I told him I was ready to pick up my car. He told me it was not done and it would be done at 4:30. I have places to be and couldn't wait that long, I asked to speak to Sam. The old man was frantic trying to look for sam and he told me Sam was SLEEPING in a customer's car. He woke up from his deep lunch time nap and told me he was sorry. I told him I can not wait any longer. I asked him what he did to my car and all he said was he drove it to check my breaks he didnt do anything besides parking it. I was furious. He tried to create excuses for his lack of customer service and crappy work ethic. He told me he can take care of my car in an hour when in the morning he told me 4hours. How in the world am I going to trust some one with my car that is a complete liar, with questionable service, and lack of understanding that time is valuable *DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS* Sam did not have the courtesy to call me to inform me that my car would be late or if there would be an issue at all, Sam and his business does not value their customer's time. David is such a great mechanic and so honest. I've taken my cars to him twice now, and very pleased both times. The first time was to take in my Infiniti due to the check engine light coming on and off, and intermittently a brief stuttering/jolting feeling coming from the front end. I actually took it to another mechanic prior to taking it to David. The other mechanic said it was my spark plugs that needed changing, so I had that done. Well, it was definitely NOT the spark plugs, because the stuttering/jolting continued, and the check engine light eventually flickered a few more times. Instead of hassling with this other mechanic (who clearly had no clue how to fix my car), I decided to bring it to David. The problem turned out to be the Fuel Injection, which he fixed for a reasonable price. Took second car in because it failed emissions. First took it into another mechanic (same mechanic that mis-diagnosed the SUV previously as needing new spark plugs - never going back to those other losers again). This other loser mechanic actually damaged the car, so after all the drama of getting it fixed, I immediately brought it to David for the actual emissions repairs. Not only did he fix the emissions problem, but he physically took our car to get it re-smogged and passed, all with 2 days left to spare before the DMV deadline. I won't be taking our Nissans or Infinitis to any other mechanic from now on. I've learned my lesson - David and the guys at California Nissan Service are simply the best. read more

My story is completely differ from the other reviews, but hear me out if you're planning to come to this place for auto repair/service: A while ago my G35's airbag light started to blink, I did some research online, tried to DIY reset the lights, but they only last a while before blinking again. So not wanting to drive 40 miles to the stealership I bought the vehicle from, I decided to go to a local Nissan repair/service shop to solve this problem. The other problem I had was the passenger side window malfunctioning, sometimes it wouldn't come up or go down. So I brought the vehicle to here to check what the heck is wrong with my G, after the weekend they ringed me and told me to go to the shop to pickup the diagnosis. The guy charged me $40 just to check what the problems are, and wrote the parts cost and labor cost on a sticky note. I couldn't remember the exact number, but it was something like this: Passenger side airbag inflator module - parts 900, labor 300 Passenger side window regulator, motor - parts 150+300, labor 150 I was shocked and scared at the same time! Being a college student, I do not have almost 2k in my bank account. So I had to tell the guy: I'll think about it and will call you if I decides to repair them. I postponed these two problems for a couple of months, fortunately and unfortunately, my mother got into an car accident, the cars rear bumper got knocked off hard, so the insurance company recommended an auto repair/bodyshop. Being skeptical, I wanted to double check the problems again at this insurance recommended place. They checked the airbag lights using the electric checker in front of my eyes, took them no longer than 10 minutes, and they told me there's absolutely nothing wrong with the airbag. The light was blinking because since this is a old car, the electric behind it malfunctions. As for the windows, the technician said that if it were the motors problem, the window won't even move at all. He then explained: "I've been doing this for more than 20 years" "it's the sensor within the master switch aging, causing the window to sometimes roll down, and sometimes won't roll up" And that's my experience with this auto repair. I do NOT recommend people coming in here for serious part replacements. TL;DR: THIS IS A SHADY AUTO REPAIR SHOP! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I have recommended California Nissan Service to a lot of people and everybody made California Nissan Service their auto repair shop. They will not sell you any service or part you don't need. They use new factory parts only. They are always willing to try and work you in to your schedule if you are pressed for time. So when the dealer tells you you need this and that, decline the service and take it here and you will notice the savings and professional quality service and surprise that you didn't need what the dealer said you did. Sam is very helpful in explaining what was wrong and going with your ride. Key(sp?) is awesome in engine diagnostics as well. read more
