Delicious Vietnamese food! I have been craving a grilled pork vermicelli bowl, not just cooked pork on top of noodles but truly grilled and tasty pork with tons of veggies and a bomb fish sauce. I was stalking Yelp for ones near my neighborhood and a picture taken over a year ago from this restaurant caught my eye so I immediately ordered as soon as they opened! I also stressed no peanuts since I'm allergic, and they assured me they'd make sure there weren't any peanuts. I called it in right at about 11AM and picked up my food at 11:10AM, right when they said it'd be ready. I got home and immediately dug into my meal which was SO GOOD. Not too heavy, very fresh and lots of veggies, and perfectly-grilled pork. You could taste the sauce it was cooked in and the pieces were so tender. My husband had the combination fried rice and loved it as well. Both meals came out to $20 total which is a good deal for us! The man working the counter was nice and friendly, so I imagine the service is good too. I 1000% will be coming back to try the rest of the menu, the flat noodles look amazing and I want to try their coconut curry next! read more

Pho was amazingly yummy! Egg rolls shrimp wraps were delish!!! My daughter loved the fried rice. The Bahn-mi baguette was a little crispy/over toasted for my preference but flavor was good. Definitely going to be in the weekly rotation! read more

Great pho options and reasonably priced. Service was friendly, the soft egg noodles were yummy sorry of like a chow mein type of noodle. No TV or music but the place was very clean. I'd come back for Pho when I'm in the area. Pho tai is usually what I order and theirs didn't disappoint. read more

I came here on the recommendation from my friend who insist that they have the best broth they have ever tasted. So I have hit this joint up twice. On the first go, I went there to get their wonton and bbq pork noodle soup because I always consider it a treat when it shows up on a pho house's menu. I would say that the broth is decent. The wonton okay and so is the bbq pork. I wish the wonton was a pork and shrimp combo like a lot of the other shops that offer them. In addition, the bbq pork was thinly sliced. Some may like it like that. Me on the other hand... I like it thick like my women. Overall though, the dish was still great. On the second go, I had the pho tai bo vein ( rare meat with the pork balls). It was good. Th broth came out hot and delicious. So no complaints at all with it. The shop looks to be family owned. Nice people there. Overall good experience. I don't recommend showing up for lunch if you are on the clock at work. The first time, when there were peeps there, it took a little longer the other pho shops... So I had to gun it back to work. But if you have the time, and want good food... this isn't a bad place to hang out. read more

This was a place nearby so I decided to try it out with my roommate. The overall was pretty okay...Their pho does take a but longer than other places to come out.. we were the only customers there so idk why that happened but it wasn't too bad! We were just super hungry at the moment and couldn't understand the delay. They also ran out of green bean sprouts when we went...which was disappointing :( My roommate is vegitarian so she really liked the vegi broth/egg broth that they had. She also said that their egg noodles were pretty good (dollar extra charge). Overall their food was okay considering their price...but I would rather pay a little more and get more stuff. Also, if you're eating here, GET LARGE SIZE NOT SMALL (unless you're deliberately looking for a .75 portion) read more

This has become the local Pho place my coworkers and I go to when we crave pho. It is delicious and decent noodle to soup ratio. Food is always consistent and fresh. The grilled pork spring rolls are a delicious appetizer in addition to the pho. read more

Got take out seafood pho to-go. Average all around. The broth was steaming hot but just not enough flavor. I actually had to add a dash of salt and pepper, a pho first for me. The seafood bits were tender and delicious, although a few more pieces would have made me more impressed. The garnishes were adequate, and plenty of them, however the hoisin sauce mixed with sriracha was a skimpy size, and I would've appreciated another little container of sambal too. While I waited for my take-out, I decided to try a iced milk coffee. I ordered it in a to-go cup, and when it arrived, I noticed there was about an inch of space between the ice and the lid. I felt kind of jipped. When I tried to jab my straw thru the top, it couldn't break thru the ice there was so much of it. My beverage was gone in about 2 or 3 sips. I was pretty disappointed by this. The inside of the restaurant looks clean, although boring, basic at best. There is a television but other than that no decor. Even with the uninspired ambiance, there are lots of tables, and some pleasant natural light shining in during the day. I thought the young man who greeted me was nice enough, he had a polite demeanor, and thanked me for coming by. If you're in the neighborhood and really craving pho like I was today, this simplistic pho spot will work in a pinch. read more

I ordered 2 bowls of pho over the phone and came to pickup. They were very quick it was ready in 10 minutes. Their pho is really good, the broth is really flavorful, almost a little too salty but adding vegetables balanced it out. Also generous portion of meat. Would definitely come back read more

First time back since Covid. They are obviously struggling. The restaurant so hot it was uncomfortable to eat, it seemed as if there is no AC on at all. Daughter got pho Which she enjoyed, although I will say she's not a pickiest eater. I got a BBQ pork Bah Mi. There was one thin layer of pork on the sandwich, with an odd texture. No one got food poisoning! read more

This is the only place my 15 year old will eat pho from. Always friendly and food is consistently well made.

I had a cold and decided to order from here, I've had better pho but it was close to work and it did the trick. I ended up ordering the beef pho and I am giving this place 4 stars just in case my taste buds were out of wack that day due to being sick. I will try other dishes and update soon. Went here at 5:00 PM Saturday and it was closed even though hours of operation on the door indicates business hours.

Why, oh why do they not get a five??? It has to be the service, not terrible, but inattentive. Never the less, these guys put out one of the most delicious things on this earth. If you come here, order the Hu Thieu Ap Chao... crispy.... make sure it is crispy... extra crispy if they will do it. Specifically number AC70. These are pan fried flat noodles in a sauce with perfectly wokked veggies, beef, chicken and seafood. I have had this dish better at only one place (Austin) and I have been scouring the state searching for Hu Thieu Ap Chao everywhere I go. This is as close as I have been. Do not leave this world without trying this stuff. You will regret it for eternity. read more

I loved this restaurant. I usually take out food here if I want to eat Vietnamese food. They have good friend rice and hot spicy beef noodle (pho). My children always love them and bubble tea (taro). I lived this area for years, but this is the best place for Vietnamese in Coppell. read more

My new favorite pho restaurant! I always order the egg roll vermicelli. Everything is made fresh. Try it. You will love it.

If you get it to go they give you raw beef- will ask them to cook it next time. Warning if you get lunch for your take out back to the office lol...I understand how it works (getting hate mail) but the broth was 130 degrees...thin beef is not going to cook. I've had raw meats & duck served dining in on a hot 500 degree stone @ tei an, I've also had tartare @ a zillion restaurants...geez now that I'm done bragging Carry on read more

I was really excited today to try this place. I've been to several of the pho places around DFW and had to convince my bf to take me here today. The inside is a very typical minimal decor Viet restaurant. Based on that I figured the prices would be reasonable. To my surprise their prices are higher than Pho legacy, I love pho, pho empire and pho que huong. $9.95 for the large combination pho? Really? Not to mention, I will never understand the reasoning why some Vietnamese restaurants dumb down their food for the American public. Pho dac biet was missing tripe and several other fatty gelatinous meats. I ordered the pork & rice for $7 and it came with a few slices of tomato and cucumber. Where is the pork skin? Or egg roll? Fried egg? Or even the egg meatloaf? How about my side of broth? Omg this place is a disappointment. I hear the BBH is good but I'm seriously skeptical. read more

Stopped in to grab some veggie pho to go and was surprised by how good it was. Service was ok. I was a little annoyed at first that the one waitress wanted to ring up everybody in the store before even placing my order, but bad timing I guess. Also, wasn't aware the menu prices are not accurate-once payment time came, then it was explained that everything was $1.00 more. Still wasn't pleased that a veggie pho without tofu was near $9.00. @ lunch time. However, once I opened it all up, I found a healthy helping of fresh veggies, noodles, and the broth was quite tasty, so no complaints. Plus, a large easily could feed 2, and I will be enjoying this tomorrow for lunch as well. Overall very yummy and is a fantastic alternative to Thai soup which I love as well. read more

I've had several of their dishes by now. I can vouch for their pho. Very authentic and delicious! Their rice plates are the bomb! So flavorful! Spring rolls are fresh! My favorites are pho, special noodle bowl #63 or the #59 and then the beef rice plates. SO GOOD!!! Depending on which spring rolls you get, it can be included with fish sauce or peanut sauce. I prefer the peanut sauce for my spring rolls. Their pho is so good! Exactly like how my mom makes at home! Service is always great. Friendly, which is rare at Asian establishments. :-) read more

Pho expert here. This place has very flavorful broth, and that is the only good thing. The broth is not steaming hot, so adding veggies will make it lukewarm. Meat was thinly sliced and came in sparse amount making the dish overpriced. Side veggies are missing coriander. What a shame of a pho place for having some of the best broth around. read more

This place is pretty good. I was worried about the reviews but I decided to try. I've been to Vietnam so I'm very picky about my Vietnamese food. I got the grilled Shrimp vermicelli salad bowl and it was as good as other places I get it from. Also Shrimp spring roll was fresh and good. I'll be coming again. Leaving 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for exceptional places that do something different than the others and this place is as good as the best Vietnamese places so still a great place. Not a pho person. I just don't do well eating liquids (make a giant mess) so can't comment on that. read more

Great local Vietnamese restaurant! Well priced and food that is packed with flavor, Pho Yen Phi is a spot I frequent. Recommend the banh mi options, but specifically the egg banh mi. Tastes just like the banh mi I ate in Hanoi and Saigon. read more

We went to Pho Yen Phi with good expectation and a hearty appetite. We left knowing it is disappointingly overpriced for the portions you are served, and they may well not have items on their menu. I was in the mood for some good Korean soup, but unfortunately they were out of everything except beef stock for their soups. I opted instead for some soft noodles with vegetables. The taste was okay/fine, but the portion was way less than it should have been for $8-9. My daughter got the chicken fried rice. The chicken tasted by itself was totally bland--no seasoning, not even so much as basic salt/pepper to give it any sort of flavoring at all. Daughter put the standard amount of soy sauce she puts on any ckn fried rice she gets anywhere. I took a couple of bites to try it out, and surprisingly it tasted like almost pure salt. We noticed the soy sauce bottle was not labeled. We didn't know if they made their own soy sauce, but whatever they had on the table to complement your dish was the saltiest soy sauce I've ever encountered. This was disappointing. I started with some spring rolls with peanut sauce at the beginning. This was the only part of the meal which was in the par/acceptable category. The stunner at Pho Yen Phi was: two patrons. One spring roll appetizer, one noodle plate, one chicken fried rice, one lemonade, one water. $24. Ridiculous. There are other Asian restaurants within 10 minutes of Pho Yen Phi which provide you a much better value for your restaurant dollar. The staff/waiter was very friendly, congenial and appreciative of our eating there. Yet his friendliness didn't make up for undersized portions, horrendous soy sauce, menu items not being available, and an eye-popping bill after a nominal dinner for two people. Will not be returning to Pho Yen Phi. read more

I think this is the only Vietnamese in Coppell, and it's pretty good! The flavors are rich, a lot of beefy flavor in the broth. They have a spicy version of Pho which is listed as being off the menu. . . But yet is on the menu. Anyway, it's quite good. Downsides: they don't offer size options for the Pho and other soups. The size is equivalent to a regular or a small at most places, so for me it isn't quite enough food on its own. (I usually get a medium or a large). But the price is like that of a medium or large at most places. read more

This place is just passing for acceptable. It's good enough for me to come back to purely because of its proximity to my job. The service is very very slow so I don't recommend this place for those with a 30 min lunch window. This is not a date worthy hole in the wall. read more

I'm half Vietnamese so I pretty much grew up eating pho. I moved to coppell and was looking for a good pho restaurant and this was closest to my place. Which I may add I am a huge skeptic when it comes to pho. I gave this place a shot and to my surprise I loved it. There was one other pho place that I loved and nothing could beat that restaurant until I tried this little hole in the wall (p.s. most hole in the walls are the best) and I freaking love this place when ever I am in the area this is my go to spot no matter what I am craving. Also I love the grilled pork spring rolls. read more

As someone who eats out Vietnamese cuisine pretty much every chance they get, Pho Yen Phi has both quality and affordability going for it! I ordered eggrolls, the special combo flat noodles, and combination pho. Broth is a bit salty, but still delicious (tip: add lime if too salty). The noodles were very well seasoned and almost caramelized, which I always look out for in my noodle dishes. Eggrolls were scrumptious! A must-have appetizer. I look forward to supporting PYP as a local to the area. read more

This is first time writing a review using this account. As a restaurant owner, and a person who worked in food industry for decades, I understand mistake happenes, and it can't be measure to judge about the business entity. But, when employee made a mistake and blame a customer, and yell in public, customer must do something to let owner of the business can correct the matter. A vietnamese girl working as a cashier showed an example today. She took an order wrong, and wouldn't accept a mistake, but blaming others in loud voice so everyone in store can be part of this humiliating process. When customer suggested her to calm down and try to listen, she answered "whatever". If Owner of this business read this, please, do something. One bad employee can damage your monthly sales up to $4000. Trust me. read more
