Best in Bethesda/rockville. The broth and meat quality are great. .

Meh...the food was not that great, and according to my Vietnamese friend, the taste and quality didn't seem too authentic. The service was overall friendly but there were a bunch of young, perhaps slightly inexperienced servers running the restaurant that night. I did get a little sick the next day, and strongly suspect this restaurant as I didn't eat anything that whole day prior to coming to this restaurant. Overall, soft pass on this restaurant as there are better Vietnamese options in the area. Parking is convenient though as there is a garage and street parking available.

I visited this small town for a few days and decided to give it a try. I tried Pho at the first day and it was really good. The second day i came and ordered another Vietnamese noodle soup which is Called Bun Bo Hue. It doesn't taste authentic to me because the BBH is one of our Vietnamese strong flavor dishes (usually cook with shrimp paste). So let just leave the Shrimp paste away, their BBH recipe is already . I would come back here again if i visit this town again.

What I received was not like the photo in the menu-- I thought it was going to come with roasted bone marrow. The place is very cute - nicely decorated- the short rib was good- the broth was tasteless. The bowl came with Chinese savory donut things-- they were stale and hard. 3 star for the short rib that I took home and ate with fish sauce I had-- the pho noodles were too soft and broth was not flavorful at all.

Great pho, but service needs some work. The pho broth was delicious and the noodles were perfection. Absolutely enjoyed the heck out of that bowl! However, we got veggies after the pho had come out, so the bean sprouts stayed raw due to the soup cooling off a little. Then I ordered a new menu item : Nem Nuong Summer Roll. The server comes back to tell me that it's not in their computer but I can order the regular Shrimp Summer Roll or the Nem Nuong instead. Uh... so you're telling me you have the ingredients to make your new item but I can't order it because someone didn't enter it into the system? I was annoyed but opted for the Shrimp Summer Roll.....and it never came out. After we were done with our meal, we got the check and asked for them to remove the item from our bill since we never received it. They did it, no problem - but disappointing that they didn't even say sorry for the error. We went past peak lunchtime, so we were the only table for most of the time and yet it was hard to flag a server for any assistance - like asking for our check. Seriously though, great food and full bar. Possibly just an 'off' day and hopefully better next time!

This is a more upscale setting for pho than you usually find. With a nice bar, simple Asian decor, and good distancing of the tables. It allowed us to feel safe from covid, while dining out. In good weather, they also have outdoor tables. The Bethesda location carries a higher cost of doing business, so their pho tends to be a couple dollars more than other, less costly locations. The premium is worth it. We went with the white meat chicken (pho ga) that came with basil leaves, bean sprouts, jalapeños, hoison, and sriracha sauces. The broth was well developed, and I was pleased they took the time to remove any undesirable chicken parts. We had a good experience, which will only get better as the colder weather comes.

Based on the pictures and positive reviews from others, this Vietnamese restaurants sounds like a very good restaurant. However, it is deceiving and misleading. We tried this location for lunch today (11/12/22) for the very first time and were super disappointed! First off, there are no Vietnamese chefs or servers at this restaurant. Secondly, there were no customers sitting down when we arrived at 11:20 AM. We were basically the only customers for dine-in. The waitress brought 2 cups of water and they were super warm with no ice! With the temperatures between 65-70°, why would you bring warm water?! Had to ask for ice water, instead. And we ordered a Coconut Boba Tea and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The menu looked impressive. But once we got the drinks and tasted them, we were sorely disappointed! The Iced Coffee tasted bitter as heck, there was no condensed milk in it. The Coconut Boba tasted of pure powder and not that smooth like how it normally should be. Tasted a little bitter, too. For our Appetizer and Entrees, we got the Summer Rolls with Prawns, a Lemongrass Chicken Noodle bowl and a Chicken Pho Ga. Once we got the Summer Rolls and tasted it, seemed like something was missing. Also, there was too much pickled radish in there. The peanut sauce was also wrongly mixed, too much fish oil and Hoisin Sauce, not enough Peanut sauce at all. The entrees looked and tasted off as well. The grilled chicken wasn't cut, the carrots were not sliced enough and not enough sauce or veggies. The lettuce tasted old, too. Chicken Pho tasted bland and the meat was overcooked, very chewy. We could not finish them as we were losing our appetite with every bite. Ate 1/2 of each and stopped. Got full of disappointing food and drinks! Do not believe the great reviews! As a big time foodie and Yelp! Elite member, this restaurant is a big miss! Have had Vietnamese food all over DMV and the Seattle area, this one has to be one of the worst ones we have been to!!! Don't recommend to others at all unless you want to feel disappointed like we did...

Food was delicious better than pho nom nom located in Rockville from my opinion The decor gives really a nice Viet vibe It's a new restaurant so they have short staff but luckily I went on a late Sunday so it was not busy Only downfall was the bartender was not available for that Sunday..

Maria's pho creation: half chicken broth, half lemongrass soup, shrimp, chicken, vegetables and noodles.

My friend and I tried this place for the first time today and had a great experience. The restaurant is small but also has additional partially covered, very cute/romantic outdoor seating which is tucked away from the street. We sat outside and got served right away by Maria who first wiped down our already clean-looking tables. We asked what was good and she told us about her special off-menu pho creation consisting of part chicken broth, part lemongrass soup with shrimp, shredded chicken, and vegetables. I ordered this and it was a winner! The broth was delicious, and the portion was generous with a good amount of shrimp and chicken. My friend ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli. She said the grilled chicken was top-notch but wished the dipping sauce had a little more zing. I love Vietnamese cuisine and have not yet found a solid Vietnamese restaurant in this area so I was excited by the experience we had today and hope that it will continue to impress. I should add that the menu is extremely user-friendly because it features large glossy pics of each of the menu items. I will definitely return to have Maria's creation again and try other dishes.

Their entrees are bursting with flavor and at such a good price point for Bethesda. Their menu is on the walk when you walk in and you order from the person at the counter. All their vegan options are labeled and they use seitan as their protein. I ordered the vegan flaming beef and my friend tried the vegan vegetable curry. The presentation of both meals was stunning! I love that the beef came with a side salad and the curry came with a generous portion of rice and garnish on the curry. The seitan beef was cooked so well! It was a great texture and was meaty without being too realistic. The flavor was so savory and seasoned perfectly. I did not want to put my fork down I gobbled my meal up! I did not try the curry but definitely want to order it next time as my friend enjoyed it. I am so thankful this business has many vegan options and all the vegetarian items were cheaper than the meat entrees. It was only $12 for dinner in Bethesda which is so hard to find. I am definitely coming back to try more of the menu and telling all my friends about this local treasure.

There were a lot of large shrimps. The Golden crepe was huge with perfect crunchiness. This was perfect size to share with a few people. The Grilled Pork vermicelli was delicious. It was perfectly grilled with flavorful grilled onions. The P1 pho was yummy goodness with a hint of sweetness of the broth. The S4. Hue Spicy Lemon Grass Soup was good. I expected it to be very spicy which I was a bit concern. But it was a medium to mild spiciest. So I still have my taste buds to try the Banh Mi.
