The food is amazing. The pho broth fantastic but we walked in and a lady came up immediately asked what we wanted to order. Nothing else. Not hi, not what would you like to drink. Nothing. Just what do you want to order. We told her we weren't ready. We were looking at the menu and she came back and did the exact same thing pretty quickly. It's just a weird way to wait on people, in my opinion. I've worked in a restaurant before and the very first thing you do is greet a table. The food is so good though. My girlfriend and I were craving pho and this place definitely hit the spot! The employees were very kind and patient with us and the food was definitely satisfying. We opted to order wings, just because we were looking for something to add some spice alongside the pho, but it was a little disappointing. You could barely taste the spice on the wing itself, but the sauce that they give you on the side really made it pop, sadly they don't give you that much. The drinks were both very good and were definitely a great item to add alongside the food that we got. The pho itself was amazing and it was so good in fact that my girlfriend took it home and ate it later that day for dinner. In general everything at the establishment was great, if you are looking for pho and you are in the area, I definitely recommend that you come and try this place out. I loved their coffee and their soup is amazing. I don't know how long they have been there but it does look a littler older. I didn't feel bothered while I was eating as well. I've been here a couple times and also had their pho soups so I can contest that everything on this menu is great. We came by for the Banh mi, and I've had some horrible Banh mi's in my day. These aren't those. The bread is warm and crisped on the outside with a soft inside like how it's supposed to be. The meat was springy and well seasoned, not wet either and the fried egg adds an interesting texture and bit of protein. We also had shrimp tempura (not pictured) which tasted straight out of the fryer, crispy, perfectly battered, entirely edible. Just wish they put more for the price. The beignets aren't on the menu but kind of are at the same time. For some reason I thought they were chocolate filled. They aren't filled but that doesn't make them bad. The bread was crispy on the outside and nice and warm and doughy on the inside with a sweet starchy flavor. The top is powdered sugar which is semi sweet and a consistency that melts on your tongue. We got the crispy eggrolls for a starter and it hit the spot - it was light and golden brown, great flavor, and refreshing dipping sauce. I got the tofu vermicelli - the portion was very generous. I liked the texture and flavor of the tofu. The vegetables were plentiful and fresh. The vermicelli was a little overcooked and slightly mushy - so that was my only critique about the meal. This is an incredible Vietnamese restaurant that won't disappoint. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere is cute and refined. From the choice of lights to the presentation of the dishes, everything is a satisfying visual experience. The food is just as incredible. We had the Spring Rolls, Shaking Beef, and Pho. Everything was very fresh and cooked with a lot of flavor. I was happy to taste the spices in the beef dish while the pho was light but tasty. And the Thai Tea was very sweet, probably the best Thai Tea I've ever had. I highly recommend ordering one with your meal. To top it off, the service was incredible. Lovely little place! A great find for the Woodlands area. Staff here is so friendly. The Pho soup is huge (if you order a large), enough for my husband and I to share. Meat tastes very fresh, enough noodles because some places sort of skimp out on them. We also have had their Banh Mi sandwich (not pictures). Bread is absolutely fresh and soft; meat inside is flavorful and paired very well with the greens. While I wasn't blown away (it's hard to be after several AMAZING options in Houston) if you want a bowl of warm pho, this place will give it to you. While the soup and noodles felt instant and slightly bland, the brisket was very tender. The BEST in town!! It is located in Spring/Woodlands area, on 45 and Sawdust road. Pho is fresh and delicious, I could come back daily. Try the Pho Rib and get it in large size! Authentically made. My personal favorite is the Tofu Rice plate! It is surprisingly tasty! And it has the most perfect crunch around the edges of each tofu piece. The pho broth here is the best in the area. Saves me the trip to Bellaire when I am too lazy to drive and want a good bowl of pho.

Stopped in for some hot pho on this chilly evening. It was not crowded and the service provided was prompt. Food came out hot. We didn't order anything special. They do provide large portions of pho. I had the small vegetable pho and my boyfriend had the large filet mignon pho. The large is enough for 2 people. We also tried the house egg rolls. They were delicious but on the small side. This place has been open for over a year, and I have never noticed it. It is right next to our favorite Greek restaurant up here. Very nice little eatery, about 10 tables, comfortable seating. Good variety of food options. Had an entire section of vegetarian dishes. We opted for the pho which was generous portion and flavorful with plenty of noodles, broth was very flavorful. I've been on a Pho and Banh Mi kick lately... like...2-3x per week kinda kick. While seemingly stuck in a rut ordering spring rolls, beef pho and steak banh mi, I'm finding such a range of preparations... my taste buds are excited for the next foray. Pho Viet Tastes has absolutely nailed their national sammie. Traditional banh mi is a meat of choice served on French baguette, often toasted/buttered and served with fresh cucumber and pickled daikon and carrot with fresh jalapeño and cilantro and/or basil. This baguette was AMAZING. As good a any proper French bakery. The veggies were fresh and the steak was tender. The egg offset the sweet pickled garnish and did the sweet salty dance in my mouth. The pho was a delicious broth with a good size chunk of beef rib, meatball, filet and flank. The broth was speckled with fat droplets and had a great depth of flavor. Again, the garnish was fresh and slightly different - serving a lemon over lime. I'm a bit of a purist, so this the me. I don't think the lemon had the same punch. The spring rolls were tasty and not too sticky, falling apart or over full. The ham inside was a nice touch but I'm convinced the passerby sauce isn't homemade. Finish with a Vietnamese coffee - delish!! Overall, a great choice.. and the best banh mi around! read more

Their Banh Mi sandwiches and spring rolls are some of the best around and reasonably priced. It may take a bit to make them (15-20 min), but they are very freshly made and well worth the wait. What a pleasant surprise. I am always hesitant to go to a restaurant that is located on a strip with other restaurants, but this was worth it. I ordered a pork banh mi and saw lots of diners eating other dishes (pho, etc). My banh mi was really delicious. Just enough tasty fillings in the roll so that every bite was good, but not so filled to where lots fell on my plate (I don't like when thy happens)!! Will definitely order from here again read more

Ordered a small pho, egg rolls and a passionfruit smoothie for dinner. The pho tasted good and fresh, and the meat portion was plenty. Egg rolls were okay, nothing too special. Not a huge fan of the smoothie, because it tasted like being made from powder (I saw passionfruit seeds in the smoothie, but the base of the smoothie is 100% sugary powder). The serivce was quite good actually, I asked the young gentleman would the bah mi still be fresh if I saved it for next day's breakfast, and he told me no and explained that the bread won't taste good if not eaten fresh, so I didn't order one. Well let's see I'll start off by saying that this is a regular place I come to eat therefore I understand and know that the young man at the register is not very friendly or approachable, very dry and wants to do the bare minimum which is okay just bring me my food, my beverage and I'll enjoy a quiet time and I'll get out of there. As I said I am OK with this type of service not having an actual waiter or waitress especially because I order the same thing each and every time I go there. I am a foodie by heart so therefore I go to so many restaurants and definitely have never minded tipping for good service and even at this restaurant, I have tipped every time before, just to be courteous even though there is no real wait staff. As a said I have been a regular since they opened up. As usual on yesterday 7-19-23 I stopped in right before 6 PM and I ordered my regular which is the vermicelli bowl with the shrimp eggroll and my Thai tea. As usual the young man at the register is not very friendly but I'm already used to his service. This time I noticed there was an older friendly apparent looking gentleman, very humble. A surprisingly friendly face for a change. I had never seen him before in the restaurant. I actually thought he was the owner. Usually the owners of any place are the ones who truly care about the customers and are more friendly to their customers. I wasn't there very long because I had to go to church so I went to the register to pay, using my phone for Apple Pay and when the tip option came up on the screen I decided to skip it , but I noticed every time I try to skip it it would go back to that same screen and and that happened a couple of times I was wondering what was going on. After a couple of times of this happening I looked at the young man and I told him I'm not sure what's happening. Then the young man at the register kept saying tip, you need to tip and I'm like oh I'm trying to press on the skip option and he said oh so you're not going to tip and he stated this is a family business. I try to stay calm in demeanor because he was being rude and he kept on going. And I explained well I wasn't aware that I had a waitress or wait staff. I told him ever time before I have to be courteous but there's no one attending me, you just bring my food out and that's it. He said this is a family business and he pointed to the tip jar and he said that money goes to the cook and everyone else. It's a family business. I ended up tipping out of embarrassment because he was raising his voice and there was one other table and a Gentleman behind me that was picking up. I gave the young man some advice. I explained that I was one of his regular customers and that it would be nice if he was more courteous and smiled with the customers and did not get upset whenever they asked a question of him or to bring something else. This had been his demeanor each time. He answered oh I'm so nice everybody says that I'm so nice I've never had anyone complain. I said yes because most people will not complain to you or about you , they will just not go back to that restaurant. This experience makes me sad because I did like the dish that I would always get with them but with this type of customer service or lack of it, I will not be going back and maybe that's why every time I've been going there especially lately the Restaurant is so empty because people can love the food but if there's this type of customer service you're not going to be back. We are fortunate to live in a city that it is full of great restaurants of all kinds and therefore the competition is great and I can go eat anywhere. I feel for the owners of this restaurant because the food is great and the restaurant could be booming but I think the young man's attitude is affecting the restaurant from growing and becoming prosperous. Incredible Bahn Mi's!!! I eat a lot of Vietnamese sandwiches, about 5 a week. I go to many different locations while at work downtown and they have some incredible ones. Then I had the pork Bahn Mi from Pho Viet and man, now I have 2 favorites.. The special Bahn Mi at Roosters and here at Pho Viet.. they also deliver through Yelp, DoorDash and UberEATS Oh and I've read some comments about service, our service was great. As for those who complained, a buddy of mine once told me, Asian restaurants with bad service have the BEST food. read more

We love Vietnamese food and saw that this new restaurant opened on Sawdust- went today and was NOT disappointed! The place itself is immaculately clean when you walk in and the decor is minimal but trendy and appealing. The service was great and our waiter and waitress were very attentive. Not to mention, the food was awesome! Super fresh and authentic. I got the vermicelli with chicken and shrimp, and the shrimp in particular was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. My brother got pho and my mom got a rice dish that they both also enjoyed. We shared the spring rolls, egg rolls, and shrimp tempura and those were also really fresh and delicious. I ordered a grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl - turned out to be on a plate w/ the vermicelli, shrimp, veggies, and an extra egg roll for $1 extra all assorted and that along w/ the spring rolls and my mom's bowl of phở were great. So happy this place exists! Forget what I said about other pho places, this is the spot! We came in on a Friday night about an hour before closing time. Although it looked like the employees were wrapping things up for the day and taking breaks , we did not feel rushed, our server was very attentive and the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. Started things off with a Thai tea and it was the best Thai tea I've had in a very long time. It wasn't overpowering or watered down, it was made just right. We also dove into the chargrilled shrimp spring rolls and they were so good, we could have went thru 100 of those. My husband is a self-proclaimed peanut sauce expert and said the peanut sauce was to die for. I agree! The wait time for our main dishes was a little long but our server communicated that to us right away, letting us know it was being prepared fresh. My husband ordered a large pho with a combo of meats ( I think) and I went for the salmon. Both were equally delicious! My husband mentioned that the portion and amount of meats he received was plentiful and really tasty. I can say the same for my salmon. Portion size was huge and very filling. I love the way the salmon was prepared, really crispy yet cooked just right. It was paired with a sauce that complimented it perfectly and served next to rice and an egg. Hands down one of the best Pho Restaurants in town, we are so blessed to have them opened near me. Fresh Food & their Pho is very flavorful.
