The food goes above and beyond any expectations!! The Wonton Special they have is the most amazing soup I have ever had and is such a HUGE portion! My husband and I definitely could have shared! Ordered fresh spring rolls with grilled chicken. They were out of the pork option. I heard the microwave open and the bell ring. Few minutes later my roll was on the table; suspect they heated up the chicken in the microwave because it had a rubbery texture. There was only two other customers in the store and their food was already on their tables. Ordered beef pho and was disappointed. The soup was watery, tasted like it had flavor enhancers, and the bean sprouts were brown (not fresh). End of the table condiments and utensils did not look clean. I only used the packaged wooden chopsticks. Service was pleasant; but that was it. read more

This place is delicious! The Pho, Banh mi thit Nguni is great! Goi cuon is a great app. I've gotten take out numerous times.

Love this place! Fresh healthy food, great art & friendly owner. Summer roll is my favorite appetizer & any Pho will hit the spot.

Good food and friendly service! I had the GÒI CUÔN (A.2) appetizer and a Large DÂC BIÊT (P.1) with everything/ extra noodles and it was great! read more

I've been here twice now and their pho is one of my favorites in the area! I always get a large/xl special pho when I'm having pho cravings. They serve a great quantity and the broth is delicious and not overly seasoned. The noodles are the perfect texture and the meats taste fresh and delicious. We also tried their spring rolls which were also very yummy. The only thing that has been disappointing is bubble tea, which the server didn't know how to make and asked me how it's supposed to be. The star off is for the bubble tea only. It does seem to be in a weird location and not sure if they get a lot of business, but I hope they stay open because I will definitely come back. read more

Their food is very good. I usually Always get the ban mi and summer rolls. On occasion I have gotten the pho. Yum. read more

WHERE IS THE JACKFRUIT? I ordered jackfruit bubble tea this afternoon an hour before my fasting ends. I took it home and took a sip and it tasted like powdered milk on crushed ice. I called to speak to the owner but not avail. I told the woman that did she just put one jackfruit in there because you could not even taste a jackfruit. All she could say is "SORRY". This is my first time trying their bubble tea and my second visit. SO DISSATISFIED! read more

Food is great, I would say one of the best phos Ive had so far. But the service has been quite a bit of a downhill. The young man gave us an attitude quite a few several times, and whenever the restaurant gets busy, he shows his frustration on his face. Do not absolutely think professional. I get that work gets tired sometimes, but it is not acceptable for customers to feel your frustration. Terrible service. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in Windsor hands down. If you're looking for great food and prices, this is the place to go. We love their pho which doesn't leave your mouth dry from MSG, and the soup is actually drinkable. A rare find in pho around Hartford. Also in love with their rice plates. read more

This is hands down one of my favorite pho spots in CT. The owner and workers always make you feel welcomed. Prices are reasonable with many different pho varieties to choose from. My favorite food on the menu and a great suggestion would be the sweet and sour deep fried wings. read more

Get the won ton noodle soup. I can't think of another place in the greater Hartford area that serves it. Coming from the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles where there are dozens of places that serve it, this version is just as good or better. I like to get the soup on the side, put some hoisin (the black sauce) into the dry noodles/meats, mix it up and enjoy while taking some slurps from the side of soup. We'll definitely be back to try the Bo Ne as well as the pho. read more

This is the best pho I have had in CT. I come here every other week it is one of my favorite restaurants. Just tried the fried rice as well spectacular. Owners are extremely nice and super courteous. Highly recommend. read more

People are very rude when you call and ask about the price they are very rude and old man is very cheap he when you dine in there they don't even clean tables so dirty and filthy never go this place no good read more

I'm extremely excited to have this open up, being of Vietnamese descent. Nothing will beat my mother's cooking, but there are times when I just don't want to eat the same dish four days in a row. That's why places like Pho Van exists. The prices are average compared to other pho places in neighboring towns - that's still a good thing. So far I've had the phos, banh mi's, spring rolls, bubble tea, and egg rolls. The quality and portions are great, at least great enough for me to keep coming back. I've dined here at least four times so far. The service is prompt and the staff are extremely nice to you. The food comes out quickly. read more

This place is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in CT. I drove all the way up from wallingford to get their pho tonight....brought it back home...omg...so good. Broth is very flavorful...top quality ingredients...fresh...yum! read more

The food was amazing!!! The Bahn Mi sandwich initially surprised me when it came to the table because it wasn't put together yet. Once you put it together and take the first bite...mouth watering good! The pho broth tasted authentic. The inside is pretty basic. A few booths and nice music. I can't wait for warmer weather to see if they will have outside seating because the view is beautiful overlooking a pond/lake. The only downside is that it shares a wall with a wrestling place so we constantly heard loud thumps and it felt like the wall was shaking. read more

I had the wonton noodle soup and a banh mi, both were delicious! This is a brand new restaurant and is family owned. The owner (chef) was quite receptive to all of our comments and critiques. I will definitely come back when I'm in town, there's nothing like authentic Vietnamese food. read more

The protocols are a little confusing (e.g. do you wait to be seated, do you order at the window or do they come to your table, do you pay at the counter or at the table?), and the atmosphere won't be for everyone but the food was excellent. I highly recommend going. Had a very good Bahn mi (excellent balance of roll, sauce, and filling) and can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. read more

My first time here. I came to check it out based on the reviews. To drink, I ordered mango tea and the response to that was "we're too busy to make that right now. We have coke if you want." Upon checking out, I told the person that said that to that he could have said the drink was not available and not said they were too busy. He didn't care. The food was ok, but his demeanor was as if he was not happy I came in at all. The older gentleman on the other hand was nice and courteous. read more

Came across this hole in the wall while looking for a new place to eat during the pandemic, while the inside doesn't look like much the food is absolutely amazing. Do not let aesthetics get in your way of an amazing meal! read more

So been meaning to go to this little Vietnamese spot for awhile during my deliveries . Always drive by and never had the time to stop in . Finally today I decided to have a late lunch and stopped in to see what they had to offer . As for me I am very picky when it comes to Vietnamese food because I was spoiled in Vietnam on vacation and a lot of spots were ok and some were just bad . So came i first looked at the google reviews to see what the reviews were . All were positive which is a good sign . So came into the restaurant nice little intimate size . The waiter came up to me with a glass of water right away and I looked at the menu . Reasonably priced nothing too crazy . So I ordered the bun thit Tom nuong cha gio . Which is basically grilled shrimp with sliced pork and egg rolls over vermicelli. Everything is cooked and made to order hot and fresh . It was delicious and I also got a banh Mi for my mother which she also loved . Banh mi is a Vietnamese sandwich btw. I will deff come back every time now to try the rest of the menu . read more

A group of four (4) had the following: Appetizers: fried egg rolls, summer rolls (shrimp), fried wontons (all excellent) Main meal: Pho beef soup, grilled shrimp vermicelli, and pork banh mi sandwich (all excellent) (4) stars because of the food. Would have been (5) stars if not for the slow service. But to their defense, we went in on a Saturday at around 1pm and it appeared that we caught their lunch rush for the day. 1 hostess running around frantically trying to seat people, take orders, deliver meals made the process of getting quality service torturous. Add to this the two elderly cooks in the kitchen made it impossible to get quicker service even tho they were moving as quickly as they could. I contemplated removing a star because a bigger group (about 8-10 people) who arrived and were seated after us, had their orders taken after us, but received their appetizers and main meals before us. This larger group ethnicity matched that of the restaurant and our group did not. I hope that was not the reason for why we were served well after them because overall the food was wonderful. read more

Don't let the outside appearance fool you. This little hole in the wall restaurant is incredible. The owner's, husband and wife, serve authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They alternate cooking but, the husband is the one who comes out to get everyone's order. He first finds out what your taste preferences are, then asks about levels of spice (heat) you like, then has the food cooked accordingly. He will make suggestions if you are unsure of what to order. Every single time we have been there, the food has been consistent and perfect. This is the only restaurant we will go to for our Vietnamese. The drive is worth it. read more

We have pho places that are much closer to us (this place is about 20 miles away) but we choose to drive to Pho Van. The broth of their soup has so much flavor in it that is unmatched by any place close to us. They also have a pretty big menu with lots of great options, which is also different from many other Vietnamese restaurants. The pork spring rolls are also an excellent appetizer that I haven't seen at other places I've been to that we get every time. read more

Best chicken pho in the area! Chunks of easy to shred chicken and we are appreciative for the broth options: veggie, chicken or beef. The flavors are Authentic and excellent! Take out available and suggested on cooler days since this place is part of a cold corporate park building. As someone who makes pho from scratch at home, my family is VERY picky when it comes to pho. We gave this place a shot and man do we absolutely love it. Service was TERRIBLE! Went in a bit after noon and ordered Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake). It too OVER AN HOUR to get it for take out. Their comment was "Chinese is everything 10 minutes. Vietnamese takes time". Well we've had Vietnamese in many, many locations and it has never taken an hour! And this was lunch hour! Good thing there were no early afternoon meetings! "Pancake" was OK....not really good, but edible at least. Likely will not be back. They need to learn how to care about their customers. read more
