Great tasting food. Pretty much what you would get in most Vietnamese places. Lots of choices from traditional pho to seafood choices. Very nice service. The place is nice and clean and has lots of tables for small or big parties. Great place. Serving is very big.

It was pretty good. Service kind of slow but overall the food was delicious. The fried chicken plate was smothered in garlic sauce. The papaya salad was super crunchy. The bowl of pho was steamy hot with a ton of onions. I would come back here again.

VERY happy! I know there are so many options around here that we've had before, but on this day we decided to try Pho This Way where we were able to be seated immediately for a Saturday lunch. It smells delicious as soon as you walk in and even better tasting. I originally wanted pho but I decided to get the shaking beef with garlic noodles and it was a huge portion size and very flavorful. I'm also glad they used good quality beef. I also tried my husband's pho and their broth is exactly how I like my pho broth to be. Personally, I'm no pho connoisseur but I think this one might be the better pho options around here lol.

    Best pho we've ever had!

Best pho we have ever had. Tried several pho options. Fried spring rolls were solid too.

Order the Shaking Beef Garlic Noodles! Best Garlic Noodles I've had! I've been craving it since the last time I was in the area. Love the tender beef and flavorful noodles! Don't skip on the sauce! Dip the noodles or pour it over! Delicious! I'll be back!

Very solid pho shop. Came with my son after his weekend practice. It's clean and the serve was really friendly. We ordered special combination pho, some fresh spring rolls. They are delicious. I will return.

Friendly service and food came out fast. Small but very clean restaurant. We ordered the bun Bo hue and pho dac biet, both of which came with lots of meat.

I am not sure when, but this place quickly became one of my favorite spots in Vietnam town. I've tried several items on their menu, like the Salt Roasted Squid, Fried Chicken Cartilage with Fish Sauce, Fried Rice, Pho, and Bun Bo Hue, but my absolute favorite is the Fried Chicken Rice Plate with Fish Sauce. The others are good, but this rice plate is on another level. Definitely very flavorful and delicious. It's heavy on the fish sauce, so if you're not used to Vietnamese fish sauce, it might be a bit strong/quite overpowering for your palate. If I had one tiny thing: the prices are a bit on the higher side compared to some other pho places in the area. But given the quality and the experience, I still think it's worth it. Additionally, the service here is great. Nice and friendly group of people. It's a family-run place, so it has a really homey, comfortable vibe. They're not fancy or over the top, but they make sure you have what you need. Overall, I definitely recommend this place! If you want an authentic Vietnamese spot, but not feeling the fish sauce, there are always lots of other items on the menu to choose from that are also very good.

Was in the area for a different restaurant which was unfortunately due to cleanliness. Found this spot within walking distance. Was quickly greeted, offered water and menus. Ordered...Pho Tron This Way (5/5) The food came quick and hot. Initially thought it was on the pricy side but was shocked by the amount of meat in the dish. It's a dry mix flat rice noodle with a sweet soy sauce and various cuts of beef, topped with fried shallots and peanuts. A side of hot beef broth with beef and meatballs. Side plate of beans sprouts, basil, jalapeño and lemon. It was well balanced, flavorful and filling. It's a generous portion but I manage to finished everything. I left happy to have found this gem. Highly recommend!

Food and service here are amazing. The place is pretty inside. Plenty of seating inside and out. I came a little after they opened, so we got the place to ourselves. I ordered their Bún bò Huế, fried egg rolls, and brisket soup with thin noodles. My kids loved it. They said the broth and flavors were all there. The Bún bò Huế was really good. The pork was a little tough, but the beef was super tender. I just wish it had a little more spice. Other than that, I'll be coming back.

Came across this place by chance trying to try different places in Vietnam town. We ordered the spring roll, stirfry noodle, and the combination pho. It was so good! The soup was flavorful. The stirfry was an amazing amount of food. I definitely recommend this place and I would be coming back.

The first few times we came to the Vietnam Town area, we wanted to stop by the famous Pho Hanoi and California Bakehouse as per recommendations from locals. But when those spots had a huge line out the door, we opted for Pho This Way instead and were pleasantly surprised. There wasn't too many people in the restaurant when we got seated. The restaurant has a cute little space and was very orderly and clean. The staff was attentive to us and got us started with ordering pretty quickly. We orderd the Pho Suon Bo (beef rib) and Pho Ap Chao (crispy fried pho). The pho broth was nice and rich with a solid amount of food albeit still somewhat expensive at the price point or arouond $17-$18. The pho ap chao was surprisingly good - it can be quite a hit or miss depending on the restaurant. I really like when places deep fry thicker cut noodles as they can get really crispy while still holding gravy sauce and the veggies/protein well. Pho This Way is a solid choice in the sprawling shopping center of Vietnam Town for anyone coming through for a visit.

The banh khot was warm and crunchy. I love when you can taste hints of coconut and when the garlic is suuuper strong lol The garlic noodles were alright tbh. The noodles were a little hard but the shrimp was cooked perfectly! They're definitely meant to be more of a takeout spot. They were pushing out party trays like crayyyy when we were there. Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. This restaurant is clean and tidy and has cute decors of bamboo hats hung from the ceiling and remind me of being back in Vietnam again. Staffs were attentive as customers entered. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. I will definitely come back here for everything I tried during my visit and to try more when in the area or on the way back from Santa Cruz. This will also be a great place to grab Togo for picnics or for hiking as well! My kids are already asking to come back to the restaurant after our first time there. So glad to know of another Vietnamese restaurant that has so many yummy dishes in SJ!

The standout dish was the egg rolls. They arrived hot, golden brown, and perfectly crisp, with a satisfying crunch and a flavorful filling that made them the best part of the meal. The food, however, wasn't the reason for my rating. The restaurant's cleanliness left me concerned. I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. With a thorough deep cleaning and some updated menus, this restaurant could create a much more welcoming dining experience. Until then, the cleanliness issues overshadow what was otherwise an average meal.
