I love Vietnamese food. Especially, pho in a cold weather. It feels like a natural remedy for cold, so I have high expectations for the Pho. First, don't let the name fool you. This is not just a Vietnamese restaurant more like an Asian restaurant with sushi, noodles etc. Let's talk about Pho. It is basic nothing special and little bit on salty side. I am not sure if they have msg or not, but definitely it makes you thirsty. They have chicken , sea food and beef pho and other asian food options. It is located next to HEB in Kyle Marketplace. You seat yourself. Service is fast and friendly. It is an okay choice for Pho when you have no other options.

I've always been up the location located in South Park meadows but the Kyle location has the same menu and atmosphere! Service is great and food is delicious!

Pork Dumplings & Crab Rangoons

The food here is so good me and family have been coming here for 5 years and we had finally ordered in and sat down and the service was wonderful, I love the Chef Pho, Vietnamese Coffee, and Chicken Curry is amazing!! I would highly recommend to go in and try it out! It's clean and such a good environment. and the dumplings are delicious.

My bf & I were craving Vietnamese food and thought we would try this place. I was disappointed in how much it was lacking flavor and love. We ended up having to throw away.

We ate here a few weeks ago and loved it. We came after work and were seated immediately without having a reservation. Our waitress was very friendly as well. As for the food, the kitchen got everything out incredibly fast once we ordered. Both the Louisiana roll & rainbow roll were delicious. The fried rice was fantastic, and the dynamite shrimp was solid. Only thing I probably wouldn't get again was the crab rangoons. Overall though, five stars! This is a good spot.

I ordered the crunchy California roll and edamame - both were very good and tasted fresh. Food arrived very quickly. Server was friendly. I sat on the patio which is a nice option to have. A good quick choice for lunch when you're craving sushi/ Vietnamese food!

Big shout out to Pho Thaison and their extensive vegetarian menu! My friend is visiting and a vegetarian so I was so pleased that Pho Thaison had plenty of options. Isabella helped us and she was so nice and accommodating with special requests. The restaurant including bathrooms were super clean. Color me impressed on my first foray in Kyle TX. Thanks!

Update 4: Since last update, 5 years ago, this has consistently been a place we know we can get a good meal and wonderful service. Consistently. That's a big think given the past few years AND Kyle's food choices blowing up with tons of chain restaurants. Kudos to the family who runs it. We went in for dinner the other night and everyone was happy with their food, the staff was wonderful and we got bonus sushi. I'd ordered the spicy salmon roll and the spicy tuna roll came out. They quickly and happily made it right and left the tuna roll to the table. Still I say the best bang for your buck is the delicious grilled pork vermicelli bowl. My wife liked the pho. The sushi is tasty. It's been close to 15 years in Kyle and are one of the top choices each time we discuss where to eat.

Yo! What even this is? If this was a joke, it's kinda funny. Is this a sloppy Joe version of banh xeo or something? Idk y'all, I've had these my entire life and this ain't how you make banh xeo lol. I give two stars because the flavor ain't bad, but nah please don't tell me a Vietnamese person made these because you might want to stop whipping up in that kitchen. Sorry, but this is pretty terrible.

Pad thai-son with chicken

Guys, this place is so GOOD. From the service to the food to the serving sizes, everything was top notch! Our waitress was very attentive, refilling my cup every time it was empty. I ordered the crab rangoons and pad thai-son with chicken non-spicy. The crab rangoons were perfectly crispy and exactly what you'd expect from crab rangoons, but it could've had slightly more filling. The pad thai-son was perfection: the noodles were firm, the sauce was deliciously seasoned, the chicken was moist and flavorful, and the serving size was gigantic. I ate until I was full and still had a whole plate of food left. The ambiance was okay, but honestly I was more focused on the food. Overall, I will definitely be coming here again!

Ribs & Pho!

Probably the best Pho south of Austin. The ambiance of the establishment is simple with focus being on the food. TV's are scarce so it encourages conversation and eating rather than needless outside influences, ahem... put down the phones! The edamame is good and traditional, the egg rolls are tasty and the seaweed salad hits all the right notes. The pork ribs I found a little dry but the flavor profile and the meat are very good. Other notable apps are the fried calamari, crab rangoons and the dynamite shrimp. On to the main dishes. I ordered the Saigon yellow curry with pork and it wasn't very good with little protein. I asked for mild and got very hot, in fact my eyes were watering the whole time. Moreover, it didn't taste like yellow curry and lacked a lot of the mellow coconut cream flavor. The fried rice was serviceable but without any flair. Finally, the Pad Thai was decent but the details were glazed over. Very little fish sauce in the back ground, only a few shrimp, and my mouth struggled to find the tamarind. That said all the signature toppings were present and cooked accordingly. As for the signature dish, I opted for Beef Pho, it's the best I've had so far. In fact it was so good, it swayed my opinion of Ramen vs Pho to be about equal depending on my mood. The broth was flavorful, the options were fresh and plentiful (sprouts, basil, cilantro, etc). The only critique I have is the eye of round should be raw at the table, so I can control the cooking. Instead it was already in the soup, making it overdone by the end of the meal. That said, I'm going back and tell the server to put it on the side and I'm sure it will be a five star experience. All in all PhoThaiSon is a good restaurant. The apps and Pho really shine and the staff is quick to give you the meal and extremely helpful. Entrees outside of the Pho need a bit of work but can satisfy in a pinch. I've been three times and will be going back for some outstanding Pho!

How are the sushi rolls here? Basic, ok? imitation crab, or soft shell?

I really love the authentic sushi they provide, the sushi rolls are great.i would say that the crab isn't imitation but please verify. I doubt you can go wrong with them no matter what you go with

We started we boba and it was decent for the price it was. We then ordered the shaken beef and it was nothing like owner photos which is misleading customers. The shaken beef had tiny nubs of poor quality beef, over 70% was veggies and it was sauced as if it was broccoli beef. It tasted okay at best but please don't market this as shaken beef. My wife ordered lemon grass beef vermicelli noodles they hosed the lemongrass after cooking it was unpleasant to eat as well. Maybe we messed up and should have got Pho? But why have subpar dishes in your restaurant... Oh last thing they have robots that bring out food from the kitchen but the waitress follows it and then serves you. It was awkward and unnecessary. I've been here multiple times and tried quite a bit off the menu: baos, bánh mì, bun bo hue, vermicelli, lo mein, pad thai, General Tso's, and rice plates. Everything has been typically solid, though nothing particularly standout. The flavors overall are a bit on the mild side, especially in the soups and meats, but the variety makes it a good choice if you're dining with a group or just want a casual, no-frills meal. It's kind of a "jack of all trades" menu with Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese options. One thing I do appreciate: they're very accommodating with substitutions and custom orders, and the service is always friendly. It can run a bit slow if the place is busy, but nothing unreasonable. Overall, not a destination spot, but a good local option when you want something convenient, comforting, and customizable.

The pork belly pho was unimpressive as well, the egg was hard boiled not soft boiled and the meat could use charring. We also got thai basil chicken wings and clearly they use the same batter for everything as I had a piece of shrimp fried into the batter. This grossed my fiance out and he didn't eat anymore after my shrimp discovery. I still ate them and they were okay and i liked the flavor but under the fried batter the chicken skin was gooey. The only thing saving this review was the service as our waitress was very kind and attentive and the thai tea which was a decent size and not too sweet like most other places. They may have other good dishes but stay away from the chicken & pork belly pho and chicken wings.

Waitress was nice and attentive, however the manager greeted us with a weird and borderline rude "it's going to be a second" when the place had barely open. The pho was fine but nothing really stood out. It tasted good enough but did not have that depth or richness that makes you crave pho again. BEST PHO SOUP IN AUSTIN!!! I've been living here for 10…read moreyears and tucked away in the back of The Village at Westlake, is a FABULOUS PHO VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT CALLED LEE'S. I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family
