#8 small. The rare beef is so tender. Broth is in sweet side.

We came here on Saturday night around 715 pm and it was packed. Luckily we didn't have to wait long and got a table by 730 pm. It was very busy and it was a constant stream of customers, even after we left around 815 pm or so. Most people waited outside after informing the staff of their party size. I had the small pho (rare beef and brisket). The bowl was quite small but it was still filling to me. The broth was nice, a bit on the sweet side. The rare beef was very tender. I loved it when you can see that it was rare so you can cook it to your preferred doneness in the hot broth. I had a bite of the lemongrass chicken banh mi. It was ok, not wow. The chicken was not char grilled like some places. The baguette was on the soft side. Service was good and they would come round to fill up your tea and water despite being so busy. It's nice to have a pho place again in Joyce area, especially after Love for Pho has moved out to Rupert/Killarney area.

Came here on a few friends late at night. I was surprised to see this place still busy after 7 pm. B and I just got a ground beef sausage rice roll to share. They were quite generous on the dipping sauce. The service here was ok. I had to call them over for water. They don't come around often checking on their customers. The place is very small. Parking is available on the street.

The pho is not bad but I feel the noodles were a bit undercooked. I tasted a bit of the crunch when I was biting into it. The service was normal and fine as I was checked out.

I went to the Kerrisdale location this family restaurant eons ago. To say I had no taste to appreciate it at the time would be an understatement. It's back now and located on Joyce. My schedule worked out and it allowed me to finally check it out shortly after their grand opening. It was fairly busy when I went, but enough staff were around that it wasn't an issue. Service was speedy and they were attentive in providing more tea and water as needed. I tried the Bun Bo Hue. It was delicious but very spicy. It was definitely more of a me issue than a them issue. The broth was quite tasty and I loved the choice of using thicker rice noodles. My face was burning as I left but I was very happy to have had the dish. Fantastic dish and I can't wait to go back again. If 4th year university me had better taste, it wouldn't have taken almost a decade to go back. The food here is just worth the trip without a doubt.

This is a new location of Pho Tan's in Kerrisdale before a fire destroyed their old location. Checked their new place out for takeout yesterday and it was good. Menu is not too crazy big but has enough variety that everyone gets plenty of choices to choose from. I called around 5pm to make an order and the person on the phone took my call right away and confirmed my order before they hung up. When I swung by to pick up I was pleasantly surprised to see they accept ALL major credit cards in addition to cash. They have several tables in the restaurant for groups up to 4 then 1 large circular table for a bigger group of 6-8. Order was done just around the 15 min mark and food was piping hot when I got to it about 30 mins later back at home. Food was delicious - I tried their beef satay soup which wasn't too crazy spicy and of bean sprouts were included. Spring roll was pretty good too and was enjoyed by the younglings and the dog (who managed to sneak one away). Kudos for their packaging - part of the way back the soups flipped on to their side. Not only did the lids stayed solidly on, what little liquid that came out was kept in the bag they additionally wrapped the soups in. The extra care and time to do that was appreciated. I will be back to checkout more things on their menu. Good job Pho Tan! Welcome to East Van!

The food is average and same with atmosphere. Can go elsewhere paying the same and have a better feeling.

I heard about this restaurant but have never tried out the food when they were in Kerrisdale. I arrived after 1pm on a week day and there was only one other customer, so service was very quick. The place is quite small, but it felt clean and pleasant. I ordered the Satay Beef Pho and the Deep Fried Chicken Wings. I am very happy with the portion size, I rarely had enough to eat at other Vietnamese restaurants. The pho was tasty and hot. The chicken wings was decent, I like that it did not feel greasy, but I felt it lacked a kick for me to rate it excellent. Overall, the quality of the food is above average, but I am deducting a star because I felt very thirsty after eating here. There is street parking in front along Kingsway, but it is metered parking. Free parking is hard to find across the street.

The food is as good as it was at its old location. There was lots of meat in the bowl I had and the broth was standard but still very tasty. The spring rolls were large and flavourful, though I think I only needed one. This place is very clean and has modern decor for a pho restaurant. Overall, the price is pretty consistent with what is demanded for pho these days. If there's one area of improvement it would be that the soup was a bit oily. I know that not every pho place skims their soups but it was noticeably more oily that other places. Whether or not it was the meat or the broth causing this, I am not sure. Service was top notch, they were very attentive, and did not hesitate to ensure everything was good throughout the meal. This will definitely be a regular spot for me.

Best satay in the city! We moved far away to Surrey and haven't found a single restaurant that comes even slightly close to how delicious Pho Tans satay is! Their spring rolls are also sooo crispy and delicious. The service is amazing, the owner Matt makes us feel like celebrities when we come in, we never wait long for our drinks or food. We drive 45 mins to eat here and it's worth it every time. Love you pho tan!!

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

This is one of the better boba spots I have tried in Richmond where they have some creative drinks…read moresuch as the ones with panna cotta and mochi. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
