Love going to this place and have for years. Whenever i come to Vancouver I try my best to make it by there either on my way into Vancouver or out. I've been with many folks who have tried different menu items and all raved about the quality and taste. Service was not great. The staffers seemed to have issues with seating a party of 5. They didn't have enough teacups, and missed giving us the beansprouts/mint for our pho. They also didn't give us enough utensils and we had to ask multiple times for utensils as the server kept forgetting. Food took quite a while to come out, over 30 minutes waiting, multiple tables waited for their food. Overall the food was okay. The beef was pretty tough but the portion size was good. Haven't been back for a while, way before I was on Yelp; I used to come here with my co-workers for quick lunches when they are relatively new and the parking at the mall where the restaurant is in was not that crazy. But as times goes, the mall and the restaurant both became very busy so we stopped coming as we all have limited time for lunch. Fast forward, the mall is still crazy with parking and the restaurant still busy! And it is still open till mid-night! With virtually no other Pho places in Richmond that open till late (only exception being Pho Hoa near Landsdowne Mall), its a great alternative of ordering Pizza or going to Church's...and Pho which is a bit healthier reduces the guilt level when you are having the munchies in the middle of the night! Both noodle soups we ordered are on target for what they are, not exceptional though, but very decent. House Special Pho $10.50 3/5 stars All the different beef cuts were tasty and very tender, the broth has the depth we all love from a good bowl of Pho, just a tad on the sweet side. Came here after my 1st workout session of the new year and felt like it was a #pho kind of night. Got the one with steak, brisket, flank, tendon and tripe. I'm not sure if the tripe was there, if it was, it was really small and blended in with the noodles. The broth was flavourful but not salty. Also got a 'fried roll'. The sauce for it was very bland but then again, you want to taste the roll, not the fish sauce. This really hit the spot. The service is okay, it was busy even for a weekday night. This is a solid place for pho and I'm glad I finally got to try this place since it's so out of the way that I normally forget about it completely. Anyways, I found it strange that they didn't have my favourite option, which is pho noodles with steak, beef brisket and flank. (They did have tendon, brisket, and flank though, but I dislike tendon in general) The service was great and extremely fast. Our waiter was very efficient and we were in and out within 45 minutes. The prices are very reasonable (Regular $8.45/Large $9.45), while the soup is very tasty, especially with sriracha! One of my gfs was craving vietnamese food and she was willing to drive from burnaby to richmond to get some, so it must be good right? I always drive pass this place when I'm going and leaving a client, but never went in. One great thing about this place is the amount of parking it had, but it can be quite full on a weekend. We ordered Lotus Special Fried Roll and papaya salad to start, and she ordered Hot and Sour Seafood Noodle while I order the usual Bun Bo Hue. My gf was specifically craving for their spring rolls and her soup. She said they make the best spring rolls here. She said it's traditional spring roll made with fried rice paper rolls and crab. I recall all my Vietnamese clients and her mom making spring rolls like that, but was never the same when ordering from restaraunts. We also ordered the papaya salad. Hands down this place had the most fanciest and the most things in it out if any restaraunts I had papaya salad. They added celery which was interesting especially since this is the first time ever having celery in it. I love celery and all, but tue celery taste was just too strong. My BBH was ok. Surprisingly they dont offer pork blood or pigs feet. There was just meat and some balls. It was strange and not traditional. I still prefer the BBH from Got pho. My girlfriends soup was good though. We only waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. Menus and tea was dropped shortly afterward. We ordered 6 piece fried chicken wings, a bowl of pho with steak, brisket, tendon, flank and tripe and a bowl of grilled steak slices with fried spring roll vermicelli. Food arrived fairly quickly. We were happy how fast the service was. Chicken wings were pipping hot out of the fryer. The wings were a decent size and nicely seasoned. There was a side of tomato/cocktail sauce. The pho had a good amount of noodles and meat toppings. Noodles had a good chew. The broth was flavourful while being on the lighter side. The vermicelli bowl was good as well. I do not often see beef at many Vietnamese restaurants and it was nice to see this restaurant offer beef dishes as an option. Spring roll was filled with pork, veggies and noodles. My only complaint was it was wrapped in a wheat wrapper instead of the traditional rice wrapper. Overall, I would return to this restaurant as I found it to be one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I have tried recently in Richmond. They open late and accept credit card as well. Food Review: One of my close friends told me about her favourite pho restaurant and I needed to try it. She drives from Burnaby to Richmond for Lotus so you know it's something. Being such a salad roll fanatic I was pleasantly surprised at the ratio of rice noodles, pickled veg (which gave it the perfect tang and crunch) and marinated chicken for $5.75. I've heard rave reviews of their chicken pho so I got a large for $11.50. Can we all just appreciate how all 5 bowls of pho came out at the same time and piping hot? Each bowl came with plenty amount of meat, and the broths were so pure that my boyfriend describes them as "healthy and clean tasting" because of how clear it was. Usually every Saturday we get this because not only is it on delivery app, it's quick, and delicious. * This time I got A1- which is the spring roll ($3.25) the spring roll even during delivery was crispy, and the filling didn't fall apart which was amazing! I really like this place. In a neighbourhood in Richmond where there aren't really any cool restaurants, this restaurant has a nice modern vibe to it. There's a neat looking bar inside, and the patio is another awesome part of the restaurant, though, it is really a shame that the view from it is of the parking lot! I've eaten at this restaurant twice and gotten takeout once - all in the past 6 months! The salad rolls with peanut sauce are truly amazing - a must try for the price! Also the grilled chicken with vermicelli is a nice large size, and is tasty. This place has been busy the last few times I've been, and rightfully so. Upon entering, you feel a warm and clean feeling with its dim lighting, wood floors and furnishings, cozy booths and large TVs. Now for the pho. The broth was deep in flavours and it wasn't overly salty. It was also sprinkled with lots of onions, green onions and cilantro - I love it when they aren't stingy on cilantro! I had the steak and tendon for toppings. The steak was tender and thicker cut, which gave more meat subsidence and it seemed like a decent amount given. The tendon was flavorful, soft and a nice jelly texture. Finally, the noodles were perfectly al dente - chewy and had a lovely bite texture. Of course, complimentary fresh bean sprouts, juicy limes, jalapeños, and the mythical red chilis (not many places give these). In the end, my belly was full and my hunger was K.O'd into a food coma. The service was friendly and quick. They accept credit cards and there is plenty of free parking. There's a patio outside, I wonder if they'd open it up for pho in the summer! When I go to a new place I like to try a regular dish to compare to other restaurants so I had a small bowl of Brisket/steak Pho. Pretty good, nothing amazing. The soup didn't taste like it was loaded with msg or oil which was very pleasant. Plus it was a cold night so I really enjoyed the hot soup. This place gets bonus points for being the cleanest, most modernly decorated Pho Restaurant I've ever been in. This place was busy on Monday at lunch. The wait wasn't too long and there are tables inside as well as on the patio. Service was efficient and friendly. We got our drinks and ordered pretty quickly. Food came out about 5-10 minutes later. Everything was fresh and delicious. Pho broth was clean tasting and I didn't feel puffy and bloated after. The bahn mi was crispy and soft. Thank the Pho gods! A pho place which opens late in Richmond that isn't Pho Hoa! In all honesty I was a bit hesitant to eat here. Years ago it used to be a pub (I think) then it was an Indian restaurant (which I actually liked) then it became Pho Boi and then now it's "Lotus, The Place for Pho Lovers". That's a very long name. We'll just call it Lotus Pho. Anyway, so my friend convinced me to try it out because he said the BBH was pretty good. So I order that and within minutes the bowls of BBH came. It looked amazing! It smelled amazing! And when I went in fishing for my pork hock, blood cubes or banana blossoms I found none. (Sad face). Nonetheless I started eating and was pleasantly surprised! The soup was very flavourful. It might not be authentic or whatever but for a non authentic BBH it tasted pretty damn good. PS. This place is very clean for a Pho restaurant. read more

They forgot a few items and we had to ask a few times. The portions are quite small. It was odd that one order of spring roll comes as a single roll. Pricey overall considering size and need to order more items. They forgot the Vietnamese coffee. We ordered a second one to go and it took so long the person who wanted it to go had already left. Taste was typical pho restaurant. What struck me is this place seems to be authentic cuisine but it wasn't overall authentic tasting. I have had better dining experience elsewhere. My brother bought home a banh mi sandwich from here and it was quite good, so I decided to check it out myself today. went in and the waitress instantly came to ask us what we needed. the food came out extremely quick. All was going great up until I decided to try my food... AND FOUND A BUG. I quickly called the waiter and showed him and he asked if I wanted something else very casually.. This review is super late but hands down still one of my fave places to grab pho. Typically not too long of a wait depending on the time you arrive. Longest I ever spent waiting for about 15 minutes during lunch rush on a weekday. My go to is #9 their beef brisket and meatballs pho. I always opt to pay extra for hot and sour soup. It adds a kick to the broth and the spice level is perfect so I dont have to add any sauce. I also love that they put raw bean sprouts on the side. Personally prefer raw bean sprouts because I get to add it in my soup and adds a nice crunch without overcooking the bean sprout. Ive also tried their chicken wings which is pretty good as well! The service is great, the space is clean and beautiful. It used to be a pizza restaurant/sports bar so they still have that vibe. The soup is delicious. The chicken balls are the good kind - if you're a chicken ball pho aficionado you know what I'm talking about. They're big and they don't skimp on you like some places. I vary between getting the S8 Chicken Ball Pho and the 3 Rare Steak and Brisket Pho. Both are exceptional! Their fruit slushes are also a great treat in the summertime.
