Service was not great. The staffers seemed to have issues with seating a party of 5. They didn't have enough teacups, and missed giving us the beansprouts/mint for our pho. They also didn't give us enough utensils and we had to ask multiple times for utensils as the server kept forgetting. Food took quite a while to come out, over 30 minutes waiting, multiple tables waited for their food. Overall the food was okay. The beef was pretty tough but the portion size was good. Not the best pho food I have had, and the service really dragged down the evening experience.
Haven't been here in years! Spring rolls are nice and crispy! The #4 pho is the perfect kind of broth for my sister and the noodle and beef/ beef ball texture is just right. Their S12 pork Bahn Mi is also really good. So good we ordered 2. Nice patio seating for lunch!
Haven't been back for a while, way before I was on Yelp; I used to come here with my co-workers for quick lunches when they are relatively new and the parking at the mall where the restaurant is in was not that crazy. But as times goes, the mall and the restaurant both became very busy so we stopped coming as we all have limited time for lunch. Fast forward, the mall is still crazy with parking and the restaurant still busy! And it is still open till mid-night! With virtually no other Pho places in Richmond that open till late (only exception being Pho Hoa near Landsdowne Mall), its a great alternative of ordering Pizza or going to Church's...and Pho which is a bit healthier reduces the guilt level when you are having the munchies in the middle of the night! Both noodle soups we ordered are on target for what they are, not exceptional though, but very decent. House Special Pho $10.50 3/5 stars All the different beef cuts were tasty and very tender, the broth has the depth we all love from a good bowl of Pho, just a tad on the sweet side. Hot & Sour Seafood Pho $11.95 3/5 stars Very tangy and just the right amount of spice, good mix of "seafood" shrimps, squids, shrimp puree balls, fish cakes. The Pho rice noodles got over cooked and became too soft. Maybe its near the end of the day and near closing time? Its good to know that Lotus is still a go-to place for a decent bowl of Pho, and with their longer hours, I am sure this is a good place to come to when you have the "emergency munchies attack"! Final Score: 3 stars Verdict: Recommend!!
Looks like Pho Boi died off sometime in the last few years and reincarnated into this establishment. Parking available Inside is quite large and modern looking. The one thing that makes this place really unique is that they have an outdoor patio. Wonder if this means outdoor pho can be had during the summer months. Pho here is decent quality. Great taste, fresh toppings, good soup. Can't really go wrong with this place. Recommended.
Came here after my 1st workout session of the new year and felt like it was a #pho kind of night. Got the one with steak, brisket, flank, tendon and tripe. I'm not sure if the tripe was there, if it was, it was really small and blended in with the noodles. The broth was flavourful but not salty. Also got a 'fried roll'. The sauce for it was very bland but then again, you want to taste the roll, not the fish sauce. This really hit the spot. The service is okay, it was busy even for a weekday night. Had to ask to have the tea pot filled however the food came pretty quick.
The interior has an excellent feel for this type of restaurant, great taste and great prices.
I wanted something hot and not too heavy. The weather was ok but the dampness in the air continues to be bothersome - I guess us Toronto boys can't take the temperate wet Vancouver weather! LOL! Hmmm...I gotta go for pho! But where? Again...flip the App - type in Pho and boom. Lotus Pho comes up close by and decent rating. Does every corner of Richmond need to be restaurants with parking wars? This strip mall's largest resto was Lotus. Not used to seeing Pho places being so big. It looked like a bar in the area went under and they took it over. Had the spring rolls and their house special pho. Overall, a nice quick meal by a bunch of hard working people. It hit the spot and off I went. By the way, Pho in Richmond is a bit more expensive than in Toronto. Each item was a couple bucks more than back home. 3.5 Stars. Cheers.
Staff are fine but something must be up in the kitchen. I ordered the VEGETARIAN 'ComChay' and they decided to throw in a piece of chicken amongst the tofu. Luckily, I did a double take before biting into it. I'm wondering how this is even happened? How do they just accidentally add a single piece of chicken? Otherwise the dish seemed "normal." The food also came out in record time (which initially I thought was a positive.) But with the preceding "mishap" it leads me to believe that they may have just repurposed some other dish and left a stray chicken piece. Poor attention to detail. Not impressed. I don't fault all the staff - just the ones laughing in the back when I (politely) pointed out their mistake.
This is a solid place for pho and I'm glad I finally got to try this place since it's so out of the way that I normally forget about it completely. Anyways, I found it strange that they didn't have my favourite option, which is pho noodles with steak, beef brisket and flank. (They did have tendon, brisket, and flank though, but I dislike tendon in general) The service was great and extremely fast. Our waiter was very efficient and we were in and out within 45 minutes. The prices are very reasonable (Regular $8.45/Large $9.45), while the soup is very tasty, especially with sriracha! It's still a bit too far for me to come frequently since there are a couple of pho places in Steveston but I would definitely come back if I were in the area!
It used to be Pho Boi and now called Lotus, the place for Pho Lovers. This place is big, clean , 2 big screen TVs in dining room and outside patios. We just wanted to try it out and had pho. The soup and beef was tasty. I like the broth coz not too much MSG coz I wasn't thirsty afterwards.
One of my gfs was craving vietnamese food and she was willing to drive from burnaby to richmond to get some, so it must be good right? I always drive pass this place when I'm going and leaving a client, but never went in. One great thing about this place is the amount of parking it had, but it can be quite full on a weekend. We ordered Lotus Special Fried Roll and papaya salad to start, and she ordered Hot and Sour Seafood Noodle while I order the usual Bun Bo Hue. My gf was specifically craving for their spring rolls and her soup. She said they make the best spring rolls here. She said it's traditional spring roll made with fried rice paper rolls and crab. I recall all my Vietnamese clients and her mom making spring rolls like that, but was never the same when ordering from restaraunts. We also ordered the papaya salad. Hands down this place had the most fanciest and the most things in it out if any restaraunts I had papaya salad. They added celery which was interesting especially since this is the first time ever having celery in it. I love celery and all, but tue celery taste was just too strong. My BBH was ok. Surprisingly they dont offer pork blood or pigs feet. There was just meat and some balls. It was strange and not traditional. I still prefer the BBH from Got pho. My girlfriends soup was good though. Next time if I come back, Ill be ordering hers. It was spicy yet sour, it was just good! I can see why she was craving this place.

We ordered 6 piece fried chicken wings, a bowl of pho with steak, brisket, tendon, flank and tripe and a bowl of grilled steak slices with fried spring roll vermicelli. Food arrived fairly quickly. We were happy how fast the service was. Chicken wings were pipping hot out of the fryer. The wings were a decent size and nicely seasoned. There was a side of tomato/cocktail sauce. The pho had a good amount of noodles and meat toppings. Noodles had a good chew. The broth was flavourful while being on the lighter side. The vermicelli bowl was good as well. I do not often see beef at many Vietnamese restaurants and it was nice to see this restaurant offer beef dishes as an option. Spring roll was filled with pork, veggies and noodles. My only complaint was it was wrapped in a wheat wrapper instead of the traditional rice wrapper. Overall, I would return to this restaurant as I found it to be one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I have tried recently in Richmond. They open late and accept credit card as well. Parking can be challenging depending on time of day.
Always consistent and good soup. I came during dining restrictions and the patio was good.

Great spot for a fast and flavourful lunch. A touch expensive, but the friendly staff and decent portions make up for it. Lots of space in the restaurant and table top sauces are always a bonus. read more
Came here for pho and got the #2. It was okay -- flavor was kinda mediocre and the portion felt small for the price. Nothing bad, just not super memorable. Service was nice though and the place was clean and quick. Decent spot if you're in the area and craving pho! read more

Came to Vancouver for vacation and had to try a viet restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and had indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a coffee, banh mi sandwich and a pho. We got the pho in the smaller size and it was pretty small. The sandwich wasn't bad but again on the small size. Maybe i am use to nyc portions but they were quite small. The pho broth was okay. A tad sweet for my liking. We got an appetizer sampler and it was just okay. read more

Food Review: One of my close friends told me about her favourite pho restaurant and I needed to try it. She drives from Burnaby to Richmond for Lotus so you know it's something. Being such a salad roll fanatic I was pleasantly surprised at the ratio of rice noodles, pickled veg (which gave it the perfect tang and crunch) and marinated chicken for $5.75. I've heard rave reviews of their chicken pho so I got a large for $11.50. Can we all just appreciate how all 5 bowls of pho came out at the same time and piping hot? Each bowl came with plenty amount of meat, and the broths were so pure that my boyfriend describes them as "healthy and clean tasting" because of how clear it was. Nothing I hate more than an oily broth. My chicken pho came with a ton of real chicken and chicken meatballs. Sometimes for lunch my work loves supporting local businesses such as lotus pho! Usually every Saturday we get this because not only is it on delivery app, it's quick, and delicious. * This time I got A1- which is the spring roll ($3.25) the spring roll even during delivery was crispy, and the filling didn't fall apart which was amazing! The sauce it came with is one of the best sauce I've tasted with my spring roll! It paired all the flavours together and it was so delicious take out I know it's delicious eating there! 6.5/10 - it's not the traditional spring roll wrapper but it's not bad! I would prefer it in the actual spring roll wrapper! * Avocado smoothie D.14 ($5.95) this smoothie was not what I expected. I thought it was going to be creamy, and milky. And although it was creamy I tasted more sugar syrup than avocado. It was super sweet. I wasn't a big fan of this and I probably won't get it again. 1/10 - too sweet and not much avocado taste to it. I wouldn't get this again I should've gotten the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk! * 6/10 - overall this is still a good place to go for pho. Their noodles are delicious but their appetizer and avocado smoothie weren't their star items this time around. I really like this place. In a neighbourhood in Richmond where there aren't really any cool restaurants, this restaurant has a nice modern vibe to it. There's a neat looking bar inside, and the patio is another awesome part of the restaurant, though, it is really a shame that the view from it is of the parking lot! I've eaten at this restaurant twice and gotten takeout once - all in the past 6 months! The salad rolls with peanut sauce are truly amazing - a must try for the price! Also the grilled chicken with vermicelli is a nice large size, and is tasty. This place has been busy the last few times I've been, and rightfully so. In a neighbourhood where all the other options are either fast food, or other hole in the wall ethnic cuisine, Lotus definitely fills a void. read more

Lots of seating, efficient service and great food. Place is very clean as well. Their pho soup is tasty and clean, not too greasy, which I appreciate. Quality of beef is good, noodles do not clump up. Spring roll was just okay, but will definitely come back for the pho! read more

Pho Craving 0. Lotus Pho Win Win Win! Tonight, Lotus Pho thoroughly satisfied my need for pho, post work-out. What makes this restaurant different from other pho places is the interior. Upon entering, you feel a warm and clean feeling with its dim lighting, wood floors and furnishings, cozy booths and large TVs. Now for the pho. The broth was deep in flavours and it wasn't overly salty. It was also sprinkled with lots of onions, green onions and cilantro - I love it when they aren't stingy on cilantro! I had the steak and tendon for toppings. The steak was tender and thicker cut, which gave more meat subsidence and it seemed like a decent amount given. The tendon was flavorful, soft and a nice jelly texture. Finally, the noodles were perfectly al dente - chewy and had a lovely bite texture. Of course, complimentary fresh bean sprouts, juicy limes, jalapeños, and the mythical red chilis (not many places give these). In the end, my belly was full and my hunger was K.O'd into a food coma. The service was friendly and quick. They accept credit cards and there is plenty of free parking. There's a patio outside, I wonder if they'd open it up for pho in the summer! Overall, one of my fave places to go for Pho now - it helps they open until midnight everyday too! read more

This was my second experience in a Vietnamese restaurant and the grading is good. Service was fast enough, staff attentive to details and ready to take your order. Place is sized well, no waiting time to seat. Food was delicious, well prepared and tasty. Worth coming! read more

Thank the Pho gods! A pho place which opens late in Richmond that isn't Pho Hoa! In all honesty I was a bit hesitant to eat here. Years ago it used to be a pub (I think) then it was an Indian restaurant (which I actually liked) then it became Pho Boi and then now it's "Lotus, The Place for Pho Lovers". That's a very long name. We'll just call it Lotus Pho. Anyway, so my friend convinced me to try it out because he said the BBH was pretty good. So I order that and within minutes the bowls of BBH came. It looked amazing! It smelled amazing! And when I went in fishing for my pork hock, blood cubes or banana blossoms I found none. (Sad face). Nonetheless I started eating and was pleasantly surprised! The soup was very flavourful. It might not be authentic or whatever but for a non authentic BBH it tasted pretty damn good. PS. This place is very clean for a Pho restaurant. read more

This place was busy on Monday at lunch. The wait wasn't too long and there are tables inside as well as on the patio. Service was efficient and friendly. We got our drinks and ordered pretty quickly. Food came out about 5-10 minutes later. Everything was fresh and delicious. Pho broth was clean tasting and I didn't feel puffy and bloated after. The bahn mi was crispy and soft. My vermicelli dish was a good balance of meat, veggies and noodles. Will definitely be back if I find myself doing any errands in Richmond. read more

I'm not a huge Pho fan but it's hard to go wrong in this place. Despite the cheesy name, something that seems to be prerequisite for eateries in Richmond, the place has decently priced pho that hasn't disappointed yet. Plus they have 90+ different choices, an absolute requirements for any Pho restaurant. read more

Came to have lunch at this place with a group of 6 people. It's a dark dimly lit restaurant in a plaza mall. At around 12 it was minimal waiting but it filled up quickly. Hostess wasn't friendly. They took our order quickly. We ordered chicken pho, Beef pho, several appetizers beef with betel leaves, spring rolls, chicken salad roll, chicken banh mi and Vietnamese coffee. Service was off. They forgot a few items and we had to ask a few times. The portions are quite small. It was odd that one order of spring roll comes as a single roll. Pricey overall considering size and need to order more items. They forgot the Vietnamese coffee. We ordered a second one to go and it took so long the person who wanted it to go had already left. Taste was typical pho restaurant. What struck me is this place seems to be authentic cuisine but it wasn't overall authentic tasting. I have had better dining experience elsewhere. Overall typical pho place in the area. read more
