Years ago, I was coming to dine in this restaurant all the time. Just recently, I came back, I saw this girl, she was poking, cleaning her nose when I came in so I said to her nicely, please! Wash your hands before you touch anything cooking. The owner said to me, ' If you do not like it, you can leave. How very RUDE is that how she talk to a customer? She's losing customers like that! One of the few pho places in this part of town. They are open later (midnight as of the time of writing) than most other places in the area. Parking is available on Granville after the afternoon rush hour. Interior is plain and pretty beaten up. The walls have a graffiti area, and they even provide markers. Reminds me of Bon's, but way less ghetto. Spring rolls are pretty steep at $3 each. Fortunately there is a 5c discount (ie $5.95) for ordering two. Deal of the century. They were nice and crisp. Hot sauce is served out of coffee cups with teacup lids. Strange combo but it works I guess. See photo. Pho dishes are reasonable at $10 or so for a large size. Soup is decent. Noodles are nice and springy. Beef tasted fine. Served with green onion and regular onions. Overall a decent option. Wouldn't mind coming back, though Thai Son is also a decent alternative nearby. read more

This place has a lot of vegetarian/vegan options now, so I decided to try them out. I ordered the spicy vegetarian noodle soup ($11.95 plus tax) for lunch takeout and the order was ready in under 10 mins. For pho, this was a rather unique dish, coming with tofu puffs, veggie ham, a veggie sort of pulled "pork" soy meat, a couple pieces of broccoli and carrot, green onions, and thin noodles. The broth was wonderfully flavourful--I'm not exactly sure what they use to flavour, but there was an impressive complexity and depth to it without being too salty, oily or rich. Moderate portions for pho in town, I'd say, which was plenty for me (a big eater). They also provided some homemade chili oil to add, which was one of the better chili oils I've tried from local pho places. All in all, I really enjoyed this--this deserves to be ranked near the top of Vancouver's pho restaurants that offer veggie/vegan options. A fantastic option if in Marpole. Good cheap Pho. I like the broth. The soup doesn't make me super thirsty after having pho here. The soup does not have a lot of flavor but it does taste a bit healthier compared to elsewhere. I like the fact that this place takes credit card. I wasn't expecting on coming here but the issue is that I am someone who never carries cash. I originally wanted to go next door.. but I am glad that because next door only accepts interact / cash, it gave me the opportunity to have lunch here instead. Bubble tea is $2.50 here but the issue is that its probably made out of powder. So I opted out. I ordered number #17 (beef and beef brisket noodle soup). #17 doesn't have a lot of meat but the meat are all quality meat. So it was very tender. Overall, I liked the food here. The restaurant looked like it has been around for a long time. The furnitures are a bit old. But at least the restaurant looked decently clean. I will definitely come back. read more

Really cheap place for pho in a small little restaurant on Granville. For a small pho (eat in), it only comes to $7.30 with tax! The service is very minimal with tea refills only when asked but they are very kind (i believe it may be family run). The food itself is not the best but not bad either. I got the beef and tendon pho and while there was more than enough noodles, there aren't very many pieces of meat. The soup broth itself is not very meaty and a little bit oily for my preference but for $7, its a good deal. Overall, wouldn't recommend driving out to try it but if in the area, it is a cheap choice! read more

I ordered from here through a delivery app and I was super happy with the speed of delivery, quality and taste of food, and portion sizes. Sometimes when pho is delivered it's hard to get a good consistency with the noodles because of the temperature of the broth after travelling to get to you and needing to add the noodles and meat later.. but these noodles and meat were evenly cooked and tasted great. The broth was flavourful, and there was plenty of bean sprouts and sauces for the broth. The meal also came with 2 free desserts which was a wonderful surprise! Ordered some via Doordash the other night, the veggie springrolls are super yummy and crispy and the vegetarian wonton with noodle soup was super filling. Good, big portions and very happy that they have a plant based menu. Was a really hearty meal. I got so much broth I actually got to make more pho with vermicelli noodles I had at my house already for next day's lunch, so that was really fun. Good pho place for a quick bite! The portions of the pho is large and they are very nice to give substitution and adjust on spiciness if requested. I order the large beef house pho and there was a lot of meat, tripe, chicken ball in the pho. And it was only for $7.95 for a large. The small size was a dollar less. Also ordered the spring roll and the roll was very small compared to the typical ones we usually get at Vietnamese restaurants. But they were pretty tasty. I have consulted with foodies, friends, pho experts, neighbors and even my pastor, to whether to give this place 1 star or whether considering it as paying it forward. The incident is the server moved meat from my bowl to another customer's bowl on the other customer's table. I spotted this slight of hands from the mirrors inside the dining area. If I saw it correctly, it was precisely 2-3 meat balls. Dunno what happened there but the other patron must be happy to have some of my extra meat. In the end, I opted for a 1 star review because this restaurant is run like a bad boss that imposes their meat allocation decisions on you. Not that I have a problem offering free meat but at least notify me that meat has been removed from my bowl and for what reasons. read more

Vietnamese pho is like one of my favourite things to eat. It is real good cuz its only the mother and the son working there so you know its a family recipe. I have really high standards for pho, because I consider myself as a pho connoisseur. This pho is 9/10, very close to my favourite pho in surrey. I recommend. Before I write up the review I have to say these are the nicest people ever. The son seems to run the cash register and I over heard he was going to secondary studies soon. Whatever he ends up doing, he will be successful. He's the kind of kid every parent wants to have. That being said, the restaurant itself is sort of the new kid on the block in Marpole. I saw the reviews and decided to give them a try. The inside is pretty casual, clean and they WANT you to write your name on their walls. I opted for the takeout options and it did not disappoint. The packing of my 2 large pho was nearly packed in 2 bags. The takeout soup bowls are actually big enough to accommodate the entire soup, noodles and sides. I usually have to use my own larger bowls at home. Plus+1 for full take-out execution. The spring rolls were nicely crisper and cut into bite sized pieces. The #24 Pho Chin Sach and #25 Beef House hit the spot. Tripe is a bit small but it does for the price. The produce is super fresh and crisp. If you order from 6pm to 9pm, you get 15% off. Check website for changes... Parking on Granville is scarce but lots of side streets to park for free. And yes I left a tip on my pick up order. read more

I really love the name. It's super cute. This is a cheap place to get pho but don't expect meat in your bowl. I had only one piece of meat so basically I paid for a lot of noodles. At this point wouldn't it have been better to buy a pack of Mr. Noodles for 25 cents at the grocery store and have it at home if I was going to have that much noddles. I would rather take cheap cuts of meat to keep the cost low...just give me some meat. The broth was okay, nothing to write home about. Service was neutral. The food here is pretty good, standard Vancouver Vietnamese noodles. It seems to be a remake of the former Gold Train Restaurant that occupied the same space, since the inside staff are the same. Service is friendly and there is the usual selection of noodle soups and grilled chicken/pork on vermicelli or rice. I think their noodle soups are quite good as they are rather large for the money compared to many other Vietnamese food places and the broth is quite yummy. They have Hanoi spring rolls in addition to the usual small Saigon ones, and these are very tasty. In Marpole and don't know what to do for a quick noodle lunch, then this place is good. read more

I got take out on my way home. I ordered their cold cut banh mi and an iced Vietnamese coffee. Both were decent and I got them for under $10. I liked that their bread was crunchy but not to the point where it cuts your mouth while eating it. The amount of jalapenos were perfect for me, but some might prefer a bit more. read more

Tasty, price was great, service was actually REALLY nice, a very professional young gentleman handled our table last night and treated us so well. Good service is so appreciated, and I hope he saw that in our tip. :) I have allergies so that's always a "thing" when I go out to eat. They do put MSG in the broth and cook on canola... it would be nice to find a restaurant that doesn't. But that's next to impossible to find. But with asian cuisine, it's easy to naturally avoid my strict allergies of egg, dairy and gluten. I simply asked them not to place any fried onions (that can be breaded and deep fried) but they didn't use it anyways. If you order something without broth, like Bun or Bahn mi, there's no MSG which generally causes headaches later. Not much else to say, just a decent place to have some Pho! But the service was the best, he made sure the table was clean, he made a drop of water and wiped it up for us, when I told him I had allergies he put his serious face on and really listened, offering additional info I didn't ask for but actually appreciated because I wonder about the oils used. May all people to be as kind, thoughtful and professional as this server was, what a great job he did, and what a great job his family did raising him! read more

I order here pretty regularly when I work late and don't feel like cooking. Everything from here is pretty good (esp. pho, bhan sandwiches, fried banana), price, portion, fresh, and healthy. Some commenters are saying the bubble tea isnt great but for the price it is pretty fresh and frothy in my opinion. Horrible. They messed up our order after reading it back to us over the phone. When I called back to tell them they said we could bring back the food that was given to us and trade it for the other thing we actually ordered. The portions are small and not worth the money. The spring rolls were doughy and the chicken was super fatty. The crispy wontons has raw meat in the centre. Overall a terrible experience. Lots of pho restaurants in the neighbourhood, but I'm glad I stopped by here! Started off with shrimp salad rolls with peanut sauce, so good! Followed by a tasty veggie pho soup. Doesn't look like much from the outside-will definitely be coming back! read more
