My friend was in the mood for pho and I haven't gotten some good pho in a while so we came to this place. Right when we got in, there was a server ready at the front waiting to help us, and right when we ordered, the food came out quickly. I got Iced Thai Tea and Pho Dac Biet. I usually get Dac Biet which is #17 on the menu since it contains everything, but most people like the #24. We also got some eggrolls which were traditionally Vietnamese homemade which were good, but I have had better. They don't waste time cleaning up tables since they start right when you leave the double glass doors. To get the server's attention after you receive your food is difficult since they don't check up on you and you might have to walk up to them. There is free wifi what so ever, you just need to ask for the password. I've been going to this pho restaurant by Hong Kong Market for as long as I can remember! The inside is still well kept and functional. We have a specific lady that always gets our orders and she always remembers that out of the 10-15 of us, my sister doesn't like cilantro or onions in her Pho (she's different lol). Typically, they get the Pho out within minutes! this is a great place to go if you want something to warm and fill your belly--fast. The Pho itself is nothing remarkable, but they are super consistent in taste, quality, and servings; service is quick and efficient, and they always have dum dums at the register for a sweet treat. Note: if you've got multiple families in your party, just tell the server whichever person is going is family #1 and then say all yalls orders and so on. Horrible experience. They took over 25 minutes to give me my to go meal. I asked what was taking so long and one of the workers said "the girl in the back forgot, sorry" and laughed it off as if it was a joke. The two food items I received were cold. This was my first noodle house I tried in Houston. Very nice looking restaurant compared to other noodle houses I have seen. Food was brought out quick. This is only my second time eating Vietnamese noodles so I don't have much to compare it to. But it tasted good and I was happy with my meal. My experience changes every time I come here. I do know that if I come here, I must come on an empty stomach. With an empty stomach, I think the pho is wonderful. The other times that I've been here, it's been decent. I don't think it's the best pho that I've ever tasted. Being Viet, I've been accustomed to wonderful pho that's been whipped up by my Mom. Service is decent. There's plenty of seating, and I've noticed that a lot of people enjoy it here. I think a small bowl of pho is $5.95 but sometimes they skimp out on noodles and meat. What happen? You are their 3rd installment. I usually eat at the one on 1960 near fallbrook and never disappointed there. The earlier times I ate there was decent. But what happen now? Growing up in a Vietnamese household pho was a staple in our family. My mom's pho will always remain the best, but there are some restaurants that come in a close second and that includes Pho Danh No. 3. Service is expeditiously fast - once we are seated and place our order the food comes out in less than five minutes. I always order the small Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup) with white meat and the soup comes out piping hot. The meat is tender and juicy, not like other places where the meat tastes dry. They don't skimp on the bean sprouts and mint leaves - just the right amount to go with my bowl. Their menu has always been just noodle soup but in the last year they added a couple of appetizers - Goi Cuon (spring rolls) and Cha Gio (egg rolls). The spring rolls could use less vermicelli noodles but other than they are really good. Whether it is cold outside or I have a cold a good bowl of pho ga from here always hits the right spot! read more

I live by this pho restaurant, so I've been many times. It is truly a noodle and soup shop. There are no appetizers like spring rolls or egg rolls. There are no rice dishes like other similar joints have. Service is similar to other Vietnamese restaurants. Prepare to wave your hands for a while to get a refill on your drink. And the atmosphere is a lot cleaner and modern than most pho restaurants. It's cash only, so be prepared. I like the pho at Pho Danh (actually pronounced like "yun"), but it's the bun bo hue that is the best dish. It's got flavor and pizazz where most other places that serve the same dish have it bland and blah. This has always been my preferred destination after a rowdy night. read more

They should change the name to Pho Damn! Cuz, DAMN, that's some good Pho! Everything was awesome. Best spring rolls and the Vietnamese egg rolls were off the chain good! All four of us were very impressed with the food. Usually, I don't like Pho because they use too much 5 spice, but this was hardly noticiable in this dish. Pretty plain from the outside, regular suburban shopping center. Going inside transports you to a different place entirely, maybe the Shanghai business district, it's very chic. You're surrounded by sheer dark glass walls that you can see out but passersby can't see in. Marble floors, stainless steel tables and chairs with warm and neutral tones everywhere. A tropical blue pendant light here and there give this Pho a festive air. As I found this place on accident I was transported immediately. There was an overabundace of beautiful asian people everywhere with tough looking asian mafia boyfriends in black suits. Maybe I came on a holiday. Everyone was very finely dressed. Service was great. A cheery young woman who spoke perfect english served me a seafood soup dish that I couldn't pronounce. It was wolfed down immediately along with the plate of fresh raw vegetables that came with. Bottom line: The food here is fresh, beautiful, authentic and delicious. My bill was under $20 and the atmosphere was incredible. New favorite hangout! Try the Lemon soda. read more

Found this place by chance...Went looking for Pho yesterday and was surprised that I hit up two nearby spots that were both closed! Thankfully, my better half found this little gem! This place is tucked away inside a little strip mall that also features a small bakery across the street (for those Banh Mi cravings) and the "Tealicious" shop (that I sadly, did not get to before they closed). It's a nice, very clean, and open space. Service was expectedly a bit slow, but I was won over by how quickly my large bowl of brisket and meatball pho came out after ordering. I love the sprouts and basil plate that was brought out before the soup arrived...it reminds me of how Mom used to always prepare it for me at home. This hit the spot and I had enough to take home a healthy portion as a meal for later. I'll be back, and next time, I'll be early enough to get some boba tea across the street, too. read more

Their food is pretty good. The only issue I had was that when I hit the option to order take out it said it would be fulfilled by grub hub, but didn't specify that grub hub is who you place your order with but you have to pick up your food at the restaurant. Glad I noticed on time that I was supposed to pick it up myself. Also the price posted on website wasn't the correct price, had to pay the difference to get the food. I've never met a bowl of pho I couldn't finish. There's a first time for everything and unfortunately today is it. Even though I'm heavily biased towards Pho Dung 2 in the same shopping center, I have eaten at Pho Danh 3 quite a few times. I much rather prefer the Pho Danh on Bellaire. The few times I have eaten here, the bowls were ok and usually I would rate it 3 to 3.5 stars. Today was 1.5 star pho. In the past, service here was so-so. This restaurant is very popular and can get very busy. So sometimes I would have to wait long for the pho. Fortunately despite it being busy on a cool day, the pho came out quick and service was good. I ordered Pho Tai Rieng (raw beef on the side) with a side of onions soaked in vinegar which is what I normally order at most pho houses. It came out looking beautiful (see my photo). I thought hopefully today would be one of those 3.5-star (or better) days. Tasted the broth. Not bad. Dipped the raw beef into the boiling soup. Very thin, tender, and tasty piece of meat. Thought "oh boy, I need to add this to my regular pho rotation for lunch". Then disaster strikes. The banh pho (noodles) was super soft (not a good thing). Seems like the noodles were overcooked. What was worse, the noodles had a metallic taste to it. Perhaps they left the noodles in the metal strainer for too long? It was a terrible struggle to eat this bowl b/c the broth was decent and the beef was very good. I really wanted to like this bowl, but every bite of noodles was like ingesting a jagged metal Krusty-O. I threw all the basil, bean sprouts (which I never eat), lime, jalapenos, loads of Sriracha...but it was all in vain. I ended up eating the beef only and downing the broth to salvage my lunch. At the end, the bowl was just a mass of spoilt pho noodles...it was such a sad sight to behold. I've had bad pho before, but usually I can muster up the fortitude to finish a bowl, but today I've met my fall. I've had semi-ok pho here in the past, but today was the nail in the coffin. This will be the last time I eat here. I'll stick with Pho Danh on Bellaire from now on and Pho Dung in the Veterans/Bammel Hong Kong Supermarket shootout. read more

My brother-in-law this evening suggested a nice hot bowl of Pho and told us of this place located on Veterans Memorial. After reading several positive reviews on YELP, a source that I trust for reviews of places I have never been too I nodded my eager enthusiasm to sample the delicious bowls of Pho that I read of in these reviews! Well, you know what? I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the ambience was! Located in the same plaza as the Hong Kong Supermarket the inside of the place was well laid out with modern and contemporary decor! We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress who took our order and to compliment our meal we decided to try the Boba tea place across from the restaurant..After coming back with our Boba drinks I sat down to a No 17 (according to the waitress a popular selection among the clientele...). The broth was fabulous! Not as salty as some of the Pho places I have been to. The noodles were plentiful and the "large" bowl was only 70 cents more than the small and well worth it! As the family sat around the table slurping down their soups and enjoying their Boba tea drinks I thought to myself...I'm going to snap some pictures so I can load them to this site and when I get home I'm going to write my review! It's been awhile since I've written a review of a restaurant and the first I've written of one in Spring, Texas but I was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely come back! read more

This spot is usually good when it comes to the pho but the shrimp fried rice leaves you wondering what happened to the shrimp. My shrimp fried rice only came with 5 shrimp and it was lackingflavor. Quite dissapointed. Steer away from the shrimp fried rice but the pho isn't bad. read more

We sat down, no one to wait on us and when this old lady comes over to finally take our order, gives us attitude (like it was traumatic for her to take our order) as we're speaking to her....apparently she says she's not Vietnamese and asks us to speak English. I was appalled by her tone, I stood up and said to cancel our order, we're not eating here with rude staff. She then yells all the way to the kitchen "in Vietnamese" to cancelled table 9. What the fuck kind of service are you guys running?! Lying to customers and treating people like shit?! Never will I ever set foot in your damn place again. I would give you a zero if Yelp allows. This place is not deserving of any customers to visit...you make food for your customers to eat...you need to treat them better so you can grow your business.
