This is a review of my takeout experience at Pho Table. For packaging, I like how they don't poke holes on the lid so the broth was still piping hot when I got home, and nothing leaked in the bag. They also use a waterproof reusable tote bag for takeout orders (which was really convenient because it was raining). The noodles, meat, and condiments were packed separately. Definitely 5/5 for presentation and thought into packing everything nicely. I got the House Special pho which included different cuts of beef and beef balls. They definitely don't skimp on the meat. Overall, the quality of the beef was great. However, I wasn't that impressed with the broth. It did look clearer than gia lam's (pho place on 8th avenue) but the taste was similar. I think while it's a great deal for $10 + tax (grand opening special), I don't really see myself getting this for $15 when other Vietnamese pho places on 8th avenue sell theirs for under $10 including tax. Tip: They were very busy at lunch time especially on the weekends, so definitely order ahead of time online to avoid long waits! Came here with my wife during the opening weekend. We ordered the House Special Pho, Sliced Brisket Pho, spring rolls, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The spring rolls were surprisingly crispy and had a nice filling. As for the iced coffee, I felt that it could have been stronger, but I like to have my coffee black, so take that into consideration. Moving on to the main event: the pho. The broth was extremely clean; it was light yet flavorful. Adding the Thai basil, the jalapeños, the bean sprouts, and a few squeezes of lime gave the broth even more dimension and balance. Overall it was very enjoyable and satisfied my pho craving. The portion was also generous. I'm happy that this neighborhood finally has a Pho spot. The delicious food and the friendly staff will definitely have me visiting again. read more

This new Vietnamese fusion restaurant located in the heart of Bensonhurst serves simple pho until midnight! This is my first time seeing a Vietnamese restaurant have an open kitchen concept. I think the idea isn't bad at all! I had order a Set A and there was a choice of appetizers (I.e., spring roll, summer roll, and gyoza), choice of drink, and the house special pho. I went with summer roll and passion fruit yogurt soda! While my brother ordered a Thai iced tea. The summer rolls (3 rolls) were tasty and crunchy, the meat fillings and the wrapping are different from other Vietnamese in Brooklyn and the city. They used normal spring roll wraps. The size of the rolls were longer than normal Vietnamese restaurants. I would call these summer rolls as a fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese. I enjoyed the fish sauce they made. It tasted light with a hint of sweetness and some tartness. I personally I prefer the fish sauce to be more stronger and pungent. The passionfruit yogurt soda was very tasty so don't finish it in one gulp! The sweetness of the drink alongside with the tartness of the passionfruit was yummy, and the yogurt and soda made it a smooth fizzy drink. The drink tasted better than most boba places around the area! The Thai iced tea was good too it was just a little too sweet. If the sweetness was cut back a little bit more it can be a great Thai iced tea in Bensonhurst. The house special pho came in a big bowl. The soup tasted homemade and light. Best thing is that it doesn't get salty as you eat. I can see why they intend to open until midnight. Perhaps a hungover food? The broth flavor is fine but I feel there could be more. There was also a good amount of brisket! Meat lovers would love this! The beef tendon was cooked just right where it is gelatinous but not melting! The beef tripe was quite long and it needs to be cut to shorter pieces. They also have beansprouts , lime and jalapeño slices. The service was good. Everyone was very polite and they make sure you're enjoying the food. Please do come and support this small local eat! read more

They had a great pho special! 11.99 for a big portion of pho. Not a big space, and the staff still seems very new and still finding their groove, but they do seem to be trying. We had pho, gyoza, and spring rolls. The pho tasted very clean and not full of oil like some other places I've had. Gyozas were okay and spring rolls were good. We enjoyed our meal and was very full from the big portion of pho. If you prefer your pho to have a cleaner taste, definitely give pho table a try! They also offer a meal deal for a drink, appetizer and pho for a set price. Their menu was very small, only pho it seemed like. My husband and I were craving pho and decided to try this place based on its positive reviews and convenient location. Upon arrival, we noticed the restaurant was quite busy for a midweek day. The gyozas and summer roll were tasty, but the pho broth was a bit lackluster and not as flavorful as I had hoped. On the plus side, the large bowl portions were quite filling. The host at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, but our server seemed less so. While she wasn't rude, she was not as attentive and took our order quickly without offering drinks until we asked after we had received our appetizers and were halfway through our pho. She didn't check on us during the meal, and when I asked about pho toppings, she only brought one serving and left before we could ask for more. It felt like she was in a hurry to leave, as she was preoccupied with cleaning tables and putting up chairs. I understand we arrived a little over an hour before closing but we were the only customers for a while since everyone else had finished and still she didn't check on us during that time. Grand opening review: I loved the softness of the baguette for the bahn mi. It's a personal preference, but I prefer mine soft and not too crunchy. The amount of noodle in the pho was very generous. The broth was tastey and not too salty. Summer roll was simple, not the traditional shrimp. I chose chicken which turned out great. Spring roll was not too over fried like some places would have, again personal preference. I liked that it had the crunch but not excessively over fried. Milk tea was perfect, not too sweet. The waitress was very accomodating when we asked to switch our drink after we placed our order. Overall, a great Pho place that is much needed on the 18th ave stretch. I was craving some pho for lunch when I found this restaurant. Coming in was expecting typical pho but to my surprise, it was better than I expected. Starting with the food, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary: pho, banh mi, etc. I had the meal set A with gyoza, beef brisket pho, and Thai iced tea. The gyoza was good, nothing special there, the pho was better than other places, beef was tender, and soup was very flavorful and not too salty (unlike other places), and Thai iced tea was also ok, it's nice that they don't fill it with too much ice Prices were decent. There's finally a pho restaurant in the neighborhood! Don't need to travel to 8ave or 86th Street to bring back cold pho. I ordered their signature house pho for my mom and she loved it. I tried some and it's good. The soup is flavorful and loaded with noodles and meats! Service was great with tables filled up. So happy that I discovered this Pho spot! I can even walk over whenever I want Pho. The food was really good and the service was amazing. Matthew was very attentive, friendly and nice! I can't believe I went a few days after my first visit. My parents wanted to take advantage of their grand opening special while it's still available. They didn't say how long it'll last for. The place has been open for almost a month now so the deal is probably going to end soon. As mentioned in my previous review, I was going to try the sandwich because I'm not interested in the pho. They offer grilled pork, chicken, or beef all for the same price. I chose pork because I was imagining how yummy grilled pork can get at other Viet places and didn't feel like trying beef in case it was the same meat as the pho. The sandwich is worse than their pho (which is just uninteresting). The worst part is the meat. It's not grilled at all. It literally tastes like meat you would get in Chinese rice box takeout that is drowned in corn starch slurry. The flavor isn't that strong but just the goopy texture all over really ruined the meal for me. It bothers my mom so much when food isn't piping hot, so when this meat is room temperature, it threw her so off. I don't mind the temperature, but the temperature is a signal of how they run their operations. This meat wasn't grilled. I don't expect them to grill every meat to order especially during peak times, but it was quite empty today and not many people order their sandwiches anyway. What's so hard about cooking on the spot? How long does it take to cook such little meat? "blanch" the meats in hot oil for a quick second like Chinese cuisine for all I care. The baguette wasn't toasted. I don't like overly hard breads but their lack of effort does not amuse me. You can't hide how dry and tough the baguette is. The pickled carrot and radish strips are quite bland to. It's not marinated deeply or strongly. I personally don't like it pickled, so technically these bland ones are more palatable for me. There's no pate in there. Is this why they call this a sandwich instead of banh mi? Considering how bad the "grilled" meat tastes, and how they don't use grilled meats in any other part of their menu, is it more cost effective to buy cold cut meats that can be stored longer. The only thing I like is perhaps how they give you a knife to cut the sandwich instead of deciding for you to cut it in half. At $8.95 this sandwich is overpriced. Also my hair still smells after coming here even though I didn't have a steaming bowl of pho in front of me. We asked for warm water this time instead of just water. It's cute to see the staff mix together hot water and cold water. He followed instructions. I saw other people asking for hot water and it's just pouring from the hot water machine. That works too. I also wanted to point out that I just noticed their restaurant name mentions themselves as a "Vietnamese Fusion Kitchen". Oh gosh what were they attempting with the fusion piece...because they sell bubble tea? Or because their chefs are Chinese? Or to mask that their food doesn't taste good? I don't care whether something is authentic or not as long as it tastes good. Yeah so I can't stand either main items at this restaurant. I won't be coming back. If I do, I might get even more irritated and have to drop it to 2*. read more

The menu said the beef broth is simmered 23 hours. I certainly believe it's true. The place is very clean and adequate lighting. The price was 14.95 . Two of us had the house pho. I ordered this on a rainy Saturday to try this place out. The restaurant itself is small not a lot of seating, so I decided to take it go. I ordered the house pho the portion for meats are very little. If you're looking for more meat probably have to order an additional meat as a side dish if available. Make sure you check your order before leaving the restaurant because I was missing my drink. The menu is very limited and needs to be redone because on Uber eats theres more food/drink options. When I got home I assembled the meal there was more soup than noodles/meat. The soup was flavorless along with the meat. It tasted like very bland needed some salt. You only get smallest 1/2 filled cup of plum/Sriracha sauce. I ended up adding more Sriracha sauce from my fridge. Just be mindful when you use credit/debit there is $.50 charged to your order.
